I love Jinmi. Probably there may be some better Korean places in the DFW area despite Seo La Bul Garden having closed down.
However, Jinmi is a cozy little hole in the wall where if you live in Plano you can get your Korean food craving satisfied w/o having to drive down to K-town.
I absolutely love Korean food so its proximity to my home just makes this place near perfection.
I have tried several of their dishes but now being a regular I basically alternate between their Sengdaegu Tang [codfish & vegetable spicy soup] & their Sundubu (Seafood Tofu) soup. They are both spicy & hot & to die for.
I could eat there forever. The ban chan is always fresh & they change it up enough that you can not always predict what will be served but its all good. The spicy fried anchovies and pa jeon (seafood pancakes) are my favorites.
If you are more of a "meat lover", their bulgogi is always tender & delicious.
Their japchae is awesome but I haven't had it in awhile cos I'm obsessed with their soups.
For appetizers they have great dumplings too!
The service is excellent & genuinely helpful. Additionally, they always have Korean television on & sometimes its broadcasting K-dramas so you might as well move in.
word of warning: Fridays at lunch it is packed. seriously, people are fighting for tables. The physical tables, I mean.
Nevertheless, to get your Korean food fix on a sunny Friday afternoon, its worth it.

For Plano, I'd say this place has pretty good Korean food.
I had the Sul Lung Tang, which is beef and beef ribs that have been simmering in a big pot for hours. Then YOU season it with salt, pepper, green onions, and some red peppers according to your preference. On a cold and rainy day like today, it was the perfect time to have this nice hot and filling soup.
My friends had the Dol Sot Bi Bim Bap and the Yook Gae Jang which was so good that they finished everything!
We also got another dish that we all shared which was the Chicken Bulgogi. It may have looked spicy, but it was really mild and tasty. It was so delectable! I just wish the pieces were a bit bigger so I wouldn't have to keep going back for more with my thin chopsticks.
As with Korean fare the various side dishes that came with our orders were also dee-lish.

4 stars if you go for lunch. 3 stars if you go for dinner.
The lunch special is a great bargain. I always get the pork bulgogi but I've tasted most of their dishes. All are very tasteful.
This restaurant starts out as the best kind of little place. Its a hole in the wall with friendly people running it. Good menu with lunch specials Monday thru Thursday. Good prices. I eat for 15 bucks most days and 10 for lunch on special days. Great bulgogi, great short ribs. KimCHI soup is delicious.
This is a great korean place to eat. From monday to Thursday there are lunch specials with great food and authentic korean side dishes. Highly recommended for lunch but thats about it, i always order either number 1 or 2 from the lunch specials.
