Jimmy's is an Aspen hotspot, where the fur flies and the tequila flows.

Known around town as the place for deep meals and entertainment, we headed over here after yet another great day of riding the high slopes of AJAX.

The staff at the front of the house were courteous and graciously took our coats before we arrived at our table.

However, you do travel through the bar to get to the main dining room, which very much could have been sponsored by Mattel with all the plastic.

Jimmy's is known for there delirious tequila list and it did not disappoint. Years and years of tequila were listed and as a Patron fan, I had to take a swim in some white gold.

Their house margaritas are fantastic, with a nice bite to them and a hearty mix of tranquil 'slow down'.

The highlight of the meal: A full slap of Porterhouse goodness.

The thing weighed about 20 pounds, and came on a bed of mashed potatoes and vegetables.

The meat was incredible. Marinated in a light wine sauce, the beef was prevalent and the slices were soft. Each bite was never ending, with the spectrum only a carnivore could love.

Tangoing between the salty rim of a chilled margarita and an unhealthy portion of beef, the imagination was content.

I was told that no trip to Aspen is complete without a trip to Jimmy's and it was true.

...Good 'Ol Jimmy's...

I went to Jimmy's on my first night in Aspen.  After reading numerous reviews of restaurants around town, I was a little worried that somehow this hotbed for "way-too-rich" people was lacking in quality restaurants.

I was totally incorrect, Jimmy's was spectacular!

The ambiance is a pleasure and this is obvious immediately.  They have somehow done an excellent job of putting a lot of people and tables into one large room, while still keeping the noise at a reasonable volume.  This allowed our table of six to easily talk with one another.  A crucial element to any successful dining experience.

As an appetizer, we started with two orders of the Steamed Mussels, one with the garlic broth and the other with the spicy tomato.   We could not decide so we figured we may as well go with both.  They were served in a large kettle where they simmered and smelled excellent.  And indeed, they were.  The portion size was amazing, we must have gotten at least 25 mussels.  A must get appetizer for sure!

For dinner, I went with the Rib-Eye and was in love.  They cooked it just perfectly to medium rare, which allowed the steak to remain perfectly juicy and flavorful!

Overall, everything was wonderful and we had a great time.  My only regret is not ordering the seven onion soup, I MUST get it a next time...

EAT UP!

Jimmy's is one of the best dinner places in Aspen.  It's very laid back and down to earth.

If you can't get a table, just belly up to the bar.  You can order the full menu at the bar.  If you are lucky enough to be dining at Jimmy's on a Monday night, don't take a table -- order the bar special petite filet and be prepared for one of the best steaks you have ever known.  Don't forget to ask Will the bartender for a shot of whatever he feels like whipping up while you are there.

Jimmmmmy!!!!
I like Jimmy's (maybe b/c Bobby Flay's name is signed on the wall).  I've been to Jimmy's twice and both times the food has been great and the servers are nice too!  We've only sat in the bar area (dining room is a bit too stuffy for this classy broad) and it's always fun to people watch.

I had their rotisserie chicken special with mashed potatoes and warm apple sauce and it hit the spot (I've had way too much comfort food lately).

Can't wait to go back to Aspen to visit Jiiiiiimmmmy's again!!

Heard this was the only happening place on Sunday nights so went there after Social and Lu Lu's.  The Margarita which was recommended to me was average.  The crowd was quite interesting and the server hot as every dude kept grabbing her on a rotation basis.  Haven't tried the food but the dining area looked nice.

My friend Pee asked for a Sharpie to tag the walls, the bartender asked, " Is your name Jimmy?"  I guess your name has to be Jimmy or they won't give it to you.  (Makes sense.)  So I told him to go back up to the bartender and have him ask the questions again.  This time I told him to "whip it out and say No but his is".

The bar area at Jimmy's is definitely happening.  A great mix of people, with good music.  Upscale and friendly vibe.

The food was good.  I had the crab cake, which was excellent and the fish tacos which were very good.  I also had three margarita's that were out of this world.  I requested a smokey tequila, and I believe the waitress recommended something that started with an M.  It was pink in color and DIVINE.

I'd definitely go back!

We went there recently for our friend's birthday dinner.  The service was absolutely wonderful, from the time we walked in to when we left.  The manager made some excellent wine recommendations which complimented our meal nicely. But the food was just average, nothing special - I don't think one person loved their entree at our table.  typical steak house fare, but just not executed very well.  The martini I ordered was not balanced, way too much bourbon.

Went to Jimmy's last night for dinner and I can't stop talking about the food.  They have managed to find a way to turn baseball food into "gourmet american".  Instead of bringing regular ole bread, they brought us ballpark pretzel sticks with mustard as a side.  I had the Veggie Quesadillas for the appetizer and then had the Center Cut Ahi Tuna for the Entre.  Probably one of the best presented dishes I had ever seen.  It came with the following:  Sweet Chili Sauce, Sesame Seaweed Salad, Nori Wrapped Jasmine Rice Cake, and Soy Wasabi Gelee.  Sooo good.  Apparently every Saturday night they have Tango dancing, but I was too beat from the day's travel's from Houston to enjoy the entertainment.  Next Saturday I guess!

Wow, these folks know how to make me have a good time.  I caught Jimmy's eye, and had a genuinely entertaining chat before we ordered drinks and dug into the impressive bar menu.  The place was buzzing whenever I dropped by.  The food was way better than I expected - it was better than the food at the one Aspen restaurant where I splurged.  The meats and long menu entries evidenced an investment in quality ingredients and prep time that paid off.

Jimmy's is as casual as it gets in Aspen; that said, it's still not that cheap, but it's an easy place to meet people. It doesn't get too terribly  loud, and the bartender's are apt to throw some Led Zeppelin on, which I think is just fantastic.

This was a fun bar we ended up staying at for a little over an hour. The walls are covered in signatures of all kinds of visitors named "Jimmy". The drinks were good, the outside patio was nice, and the food looked pretty decent. It was full of people so it must be pretty popular with the locals.

A personal favorite!  The nightly bar menu is to die for...especially the wednesday night filet with bearnaise and mashers and veggies on the side!  Be aware the bar tables fill up fast and are constantly in high demand.  The main restaurant is also amazing but out of my weekly price range until Im finished being a ski bum.  Oh and search the signatures on the wall and maybe you'll find my CT3
