Every sub I've had from them is good, thus the 3 stars. Why I've deducted 2, is for their mere lack of following through. I asked for a veggie sub with bacon and avocado. I got the sub and took a bite, it was tasty but no avocado! I opened it to find not even a dollop, but a mere side swipe of and end of the knife. I would have been more understanding for it were forgotten all together. But to know it was attempted and not followed through was just pure annoyance. I'm attaching a picture to show that I'm not over reacting.

Said they were open online until 9pm every day. Drove out of my way to this one just for them to be closed. No sign or anything. At least update your hours online!

Was fast as advertised but overpriced in my opinion for just two combos it cost over $30. Can get the same quality for less at subway

Being in Syracuse area yelp showed near by hotel, Jimmy Johns and then it's a trip via use of Google maps app. This was a drive- up visit and ordered as usual no.6 veggie with the works included are hot cherry peppers. Service is fast as usual per their slogan and yes I was out in few minutes back to hotel to enjoy it with Jalapeño chips.

We stopped in to Jimmy John's after a long day on the road figuring it would be much easier to get food close to our hotel and not have to go back out to get our supper. Big mistake the food at this Jimmy John's was not up to par. We've eaten at Jimmy John's in the past and the food was better I would not recommend this Jimmy John's to anyone both sandwiches we ordered one was a roast beef and the other was a tuna tasted off. We ended up throwing them out rather than eating them.

I have had lunch here on a few occasions. I have heard complaints on their bread but I like them a lot. Their ingredients always seem fresh. I usually stick to classics like turkey or a tuna sandwich. Everything I have had is good but not awesome. It's better than dibellos though. The one major knock for me is cost. It's way to overpriced. You can get equally or better sandwiches that are cheaper than here.

Strangest sub shop experience of my life.
- their specialty is delivery, so limited seating.
- only offer 8 INCH subs
- Do not have sliced pickles to put on your sandwich!?
- no hot items (including subs, soups, etc)
- Had a #2 'Big John'. (I really wanted a cheese steak). Basic roast beef sandwich, little meat. Basic taste. Counter person RAVED about how delicious sandwiches are - not.
- OK, two stars because bread is great.
- hide the napkins behind the counter. You don't get one unless you ask.
- Can only get Jimmy brand chips, no Doritos, etc.
Can't believe I'm going to say this - you're better off going to Subway. Can't believe I'm writing this long about a chain sandwich shop.
Best sandwich shop for me is Jersey Mikes, if you must go to a chain shop.
One more thing; multiple signs that say "free smells". If your cold sandwich 'smells', there's a problem.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Jun 13, 2013First to Review
I have to admit, I have a bit of a crush on Jimmy John's. I know they have been around for awhile and they are probably all over the rest of the country, but they are fairly new to Syracuse. There has been one for a couple of years on Marshall St up by Syracuse U - but since I don't venture up there all that often (and not often to grab a sub), when they opened up a new location off Carrier Circle, I knew I was gonna be hooked.
A few visits later, and my suspicion has been confirmed. It's nice to find a sub shop with a drive through if you are in a hurry - sure bets Subway or Jreck Subs.
I typically like a more meat and cheese sub and they offer the "plain slims" for people like me - meat of choice, cheese, and condiments. Simple, quick, and cheap.
They also offer "unwich" versions of their sandwiches which are a low carb option - has a lettuce wrap instead of bread. This attention to customer dietary choices/restrictions is nice to see.
So far, with it being a new location, I've had no issues with this Jimmy John's. They are always well staffed and friendly. If you're in the Carrier Circle area, give 'em a shot.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Feb 20, 2018Updated review
no problem yelp, ill re write my crappy review. anything to let the public know all about the crap sandwich i got (again!) at JJ's
so, fyi, JJ's is a pile of dood, its no good and if you eat here, re-evaluate your food choices. granted subway is not very good either, but once they took out yoga mat, their bread is bad news. JJ's is just plain jank.
see, i can be PC and still tell you the truth.
thanks!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Sep 30, 2013Previous review3 stars, im just not impressed.
now dont get all hatey on me 'cuse i just yelp em as i eat em. I had a turkey bacon, i guess the 16 (turkey club) well, im not overly impressed.
I like subway more, more food, more size, more options, more more more. also a buck more, but ill take it. - Matt C.Ashburn, VA14477Mar 8, 2020
Paying over $30 for 2 large turkey subs and 2 bags of chips is way too expensive. Charging $2 extra for cheese is way too much. Also forgetting my side of pickles didn't help. Steer clear of Jimmy Johns- there subs are mediocre and a total rip off in my opinion.
