    This is for the sales deparment.

    Called in beforehand to ask for Jordan because he was mentioned in positive reviews on here, but since Jordan would be unavailable during the time I asked, he referred me to Nidal. I was skeptical at first to be referred to a random salesman, but Nidal was GREAT. Very patient, went through the entire process to me, the super noob (my first time buying a car), and I walked out with a beautiful, shiny, black on black IS 250.  Nidal didn't try to sell me extras, wasn't pushy, and didn't say things just to get me to buy the car. He even stayed at the dealership until 11pm~12am and they close at 9pm!

    Sidenote:  Definitely ask for Nidal Akkelah because I ALMOST had to take one star off because Larry, the original salesman I was working with, lied to me to say that the dealership closed at an earlier time that it actually did just so he could leave early....big no no! If you want to make the sale you better stay until the customer comes! I mean come on, all I have to do is call the dealership's receptionist desk to double check. No swag!

    Updated - 9/26/2011

    Update (Sep 26, 2011): Regina Pruitt, Customer Satisfaction Manager at Jim Falk Lexus, immediately contacted me to follow up on the aforementioned issue. I should also mention that she did the same for my earlier unrelated light bulb quote review, only to be delayed in the resolution by my absence due to an international trip. I have forwarded the documents in question. For now, such a timely and proactive resolution effort certainly earns them an extra star. They do listen carefully to customer feedback.

    ~~~
    On June 30 I dropped off my IS 300 to Jim Falk Lexus to check on an intermittent engine start problem. The advisor quoted a $150.95 charge to inspect the problem, which could later be applied towards the repair.
    When I picked up the car on July 6, they had not found the problem and said the car started fine, even though it continued to have problems on most cold starts immediately thereafter.
    They had also tacitly reduced the inspection charge from the quote of $150.95 to a billing amount of $70.00 and apparently tacked most of the difference on to the alignment charge, which had magically increased from the quote of $115 to $202.50. While this didn't change the total amount of the bill, this accounting gimmick could yield them handsome savings when I do come back to apply the amount to have the starter problem fixed that they failed to diagnose, assuming I hadn't noticed the switch.
    Fortunately, I have a copy of the estimate with the original numbers entered by the service advisor. A typo seems unlikely to be the root cause since the sum remains correct, and it is clearly not a simple switch.
    This is my second review about questionable business practices by Jim Falk Lexus. Customers beware. Make sure to ask for an itemized estimate like I did (not just total amount) and then cross-check the itemized and total amounts on bills and estimates.
    If you didn't have a problem with your car, then you would think these guys were fine. It is when there are problems that their true colors shine.
    We purchased a "Certified" Used 2008 ES350, Within 4 days after purchase, the bumper came loose on its own. We took it to a body shop, and they said that both bumpers had been repainted, the bumper bracket was broken and looked like it had been in an accident. We complained and Lexus of BH confirmed that yes the bumper bracket was broken and the bumper needed to be replaced and that it was repainted.
    None of the above was disclosed to us.
    Never did they offer an apology for selling a car to us that had a bumper fall off loose on its own. Their own service people had even confirmed that the bumper and rear panel had been repainted and they had to replace the bumper. Didn't matter to them. Nonetheless we had to repetitiously tell them that we would sue until they finally gave us our money. No apologies, they called us "difficult". They then told us that they would still resell the car as "Certified".
    If you have purchased a vehicle "certified" from them, I would get your car checked, it may have been in an accident, and it should have been disclosed.
    Read this carefully before you buy any "Certified" car and make sure the dealer knows that you know about it.
    Seething...
    Lets start out explaining I needed to be in the Valley at 3:15pm exactly and I walked in without an appointment.
    11-ish a.m. Service Guy: "We can have your car done in an hour...hour and a half.  Definitely before 2pm." (oil change, check fluids, gas/recall, wash)
    Me: "2pm?  As long as it gives me time...I CANNOT leave the car here if it won't be done after 2pm.  I cannot use the 'loaner' - I need that SUV.  Are you sure?"
    Service Guy: "Yes."  (he walks me to the next desk to get the loaner, then I leave)
    1:30pm...no phone call
    1:50pm: I arrive at the Lexus Service Dept and return the loaner.
    2 p.m. Service Guy: "The car is being washed and they had to fill your tank as part of the recall.  Free gas, isn't that great?"
    Me: "No.  I told you I needed that car at 2pm.  It was over 3/4 full.  I'll be in the lounge, please let me know when its ready."
    ---2:40pm!---
    Me: "You said 2pm."
    Service Guy: "Well the gas station is sooo far away."
    Me thinking: (I know exactly where it is)...so I glare at him.
    Service Guy hides behind computer and halfway under his desk from me.
    2:45pm: Service Guy apologizes repeatedly as I fly like a ninja into the driver's seat.
    3:20 (LATE and thankfully without a speeding ticket) pm: In Valley.
    Although the service guy had no control over the speed of the technicians, he should've informed me of their workload instead of guesstimating.
    The car itself was however done well, as a laymen like myself could see.
    No problems with loaner, either.
    Bought a 2008 RX 350 over the Internet.  I would not do it again without seeing the car first.  The pictures and description was off from what I actually got.  It had only 12K miles but the car was not in good looking shape when I received it.  Interior was dirty and the tires were worn down.
    Don't utilize their shippers it took two weeks to go two states from Beverly Hills to Seattle, WA and it was really expensive.
    I would Fight to get your own shipper which would be faster and offer better quality experience.
    They did give me $$$ for an alignment and I spent time detailing the inside myself.  I didn't expect this from Lexus but they tried to make it right.
    Overall, I recommend going in and seeing the car before you buy it.  Utilize your own shipper.
    If you WANT customer service, you WON'T GET IT HERE!!!
    I've lived in LA most of my life and understand that there is a certain attitude and sense of "I'm better than everyone else" that comes with being in Beverly Hills, but if you are going to try to sell a car, you better have a smile on at all times!
    We walked in at about 5:30 p.m., another 30 minutes before they closed, right when I walked in, a man at the door asked if he could help me.  This man (aka "rafi") also the manager at the store, did not bother to introduce himself to me and simply called another incompetant associate ot assist me.  The associate he called, Jordan did not fair any better.  During the course of the negotiations he mouthed off to me under his breadth as he expressed doubt in my attempt to buy a car.  It was incredibly rude, and when I did call him out on it, you can tell the shame from his face...  When Rafi tried coming back to us to make the negotiations better, he never acknolwedged fault nor apologized for his employee's behavior!
    My dad and I did end up buying the Lexus that they tried to sell us except from a better dealership, THIS PLACE SUCKS!!  Rafi is a horrible manager, and he can expect a personal letter from me to his store manager in days!!  GO TO SANTA MONICA OR TORRENCE!!!  STAY AWAY!!
    I brought my car in for a 5k service. Here is what they did for me:
    1. Friendly greeting when I arrived. Always appreciated.
    2. Accepted a coupon from Crown Lexus that dropped the price to $100. I used the points on my Lexus card so the service was free.
    3. Gave me a Lexus HS as a free loaner car to cruise in. I went to breakfast in the local area. Fabulous!
    4. Serviced my car.
    5. Put a full tank of gas in my car.
    I felt like a celebrity.
    I brought in my RX400h for service here. I bought my car pre-owned from Lexus of Glendale. It was very easy to make a last-minute appointment here at BHL. I dropped it off when it wasn't very busy, at noon. The service advisor seemed good enough. They gave me a courtesy ride back home. They told me it would be ready by end-of-day.
    However, they couldn't get to my car on time and told me they would have it the next day. I asked if they could give me a loaner car so I could get to work. They told me they didn't have any at the moment, so I complained, and they told me to wait until the end of day. They picked me up at 4:30 and I had to wait 45 minutes to get a car.
    They called me early the next day and said my car was ready. I show up and they had it in the car wash bay. They just started to hose it down after I paid for the service. It took another 1 hour to wait for my car in the morning, making me late for work. They did a poor job with the carwash because it was rushed. They should have washed my car before calling me to say it was ready.
    On top of that, my tires were not inflated. I noticed one of my wheels was more flat than the rest before driving off. I would have expected them to check the tire pressure as part of the standard service. It makes me worry what else they didn't check. However, it was too busy to complain and I was in a rush to go to work.
    Overall I expect better service from Lexus. Lexus of Glendale has nicer facilities, and when they tell me something is ready, it's really ready. The problem with this location is that it's always hectic and overcrowded with customers. They probably need to do a better job with scheduling so they don't rush through everything.
    I will give this place one more try since it's so convenient for me, but if I continue to get bad service, I'll go elsewhere.
    I brought my RX here for an oil change and not only did they overcharge me they used an instrument to close the oil canister so tightly that no other mechanic can open it. So now that it's time for another oil change, I'm forced to go back and be ripped off again.  When I brought this to their attention, the service manager agreed to a discounted price. That "discounted price" is still is much more expensive than any other dealer, let alone an ez lube or jiffy lube. I was also quoted for a replacement tire and mat and again, was more expensive than any other Lexus dealer.
    I'm taking my car to another Lexus dealer out of principal.
    Came in 2 buy a new car.  Saleman lied about the price he would sell the car to me for. Also tried to used shady math to round numbers up to a higher profit for dealership.  The sales manager would not come close to matching prices of other dealerships, and challenged me to find a better deal (which I did).   After I left, the called to beg me buy a car the following day at the price I was asking for.
    To be fair it was a good price, but not worth the hassle of being lied to.
    Compared to the other service i got at crown lexus... this service is terrible.. i can't believe that they will give you such service especially in Beverly Hills..  My boyfriend took his car in for service and also because of a recall on the 2006 IS models.. and they promised him that it was going to take 2 days and also they will wash the car and fill it with gas for pick up..instead.. it took 4 days and they forgot to put in gas.. so we came to pick it up and had to wait ANOTHER 15 mins or so for them to go get gas.. lastly... you thought that was bad.. but the car came back smelling like sweat and they also dirtied the leather interior a bit..
    this type of service from lexus is not good.. and plus! it is in beverly hills..which makes me really curious why they let this type of standard pass by..i can't believe no one had yelled at them or anything.. where i work (of course in beverly hills) we get yelled at at least once a day from these wealthy people.. i can't believe Lexus doesn't get those type of customers and if they do..they should fix that problem..
    anyways, my point is that they should provide better service.. all they have there is water served in a Styrofoam cup and no snacks.. just a little dinky fridge with old Saracha sauce and a red bull in it.. patooey.. :P  therefore i hope they will treat us better next time and prove us wrong..showing me that Jim Falk Lexus does provide high quality service with a smile and efficiency. but the only PLUS is that they give you a new 2009 lexus is250 as a rental.. ;)  yum.. the new car smell again.
    They weren't kidding when they say you get the best in Beverly Hills. Excellent, Fast service. No Gripes, No Pain.
    Lexus of Cerritos used to take 2-4 days with my cars and I would never get follow up calls to let me know what was up.
    Lexus of Beverly Hills, called me with constant updates and got my car back within a day or so. They went out of their way to help me absolve issues with the warranties I had purchased or had thought I purchased from Lexus of Cerritos (Please see my review on them).
    I really like the service department for BH Lexus.
    Everytime I've been, the servicemen are always really thorough, efficient and friendly. They're all about customer service and it shows.
    And Lexus is great about giving you a loaner for the day(s) your car is in service.
    PLUS, all the offices I've been to have this yummy little coffee making machine in the waiting area.  Press the "french vanilla" option - it's delicious.  Plus, the Santa Monica service location serves warm, fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies.  I am almost tempted to break my own car just to have a reason to go back for a cookie.
    I know this is a car review, but c'mon, it always comes down to the food.
    Oh, and my only complaint about Lexus are the INCESSANT customer service surveys I receive in the mail.  Like seriously, stop!
    Alright, I'll give them props for their fast service.   I've never had trouble getting fit in for service and my car is usually out of there within 24-hours if not the day's end.
    However, their communication skills are spotty.  Sometimes they're on it like white on rice, the other times they're more like, um, NOT white on rice.   And weasel is as weasel does - they try to sell you on stuff you don't need which is to be expected from a dealership.   And they don't give you the warm & fuzzy feeling like the Santa Monica Lexus peeps.  Too bad for me that the SM location is too far.
    Ahhh.... what can you not say about Lexus? There luxurious, amazing, fast, and cool. At least, that's what I was thinking.
    So after my wife Lauren and I purchased the Mercedes Benz CL600 at $157,500 , we were looking into a fast, Lexus automobile.
    Eventually we narrowed it down to 2 choices. The Lexus LS Hybrid or the Lexus LFA 12. Yes, yes, I know both cars were over $100,000. However since I'm a surgeon and my wife is a designer/entrepreneur for women's clothing and beauty, each car was at a reasonable price.
    Eventually, we chose the Lexus LFA 12 for $375,000. Yes, yes, expensive, yet amazing and sleek.
    However, if you do want one, you'll have to pass a test. Well, it's more like a coolness test. How the test goes is that the main managers of Lexus see where you live, your household income, the house you live in, and how long you will drive the car. After seeing my Beverly Hills home, our household income, and our previous cars, they accepted.
    And I'm so happy they did..
    This is a tough one. You do, and should, pay a premium for things like a free loaner car, technicians specifically trained to work on a certain type of car, assurance of factory parts, etc. However I feel like, at best, they were selling parts and service rather than giving me options and explanations or ,at worst, taking me for a fool. Suffice it to say that the estimate was so high ($3700) that I just had to get a second opinion. I only went to a dealer in the first place because I thought the problem might be related to an earlier repair. Instead I took the car to a trusted local repair shop and once they explained options and gave recommendations on how to proceed I got the same problems resolved for under $1200.
    I've gotten my car serviced twice here...both times I was very pleased.
    The first time, they helped me get a loaner car even though I wasn't old enough to technically get one (I think you have to be ~25?). I was presented a list of recommended repairs that I ended up doing myself (replacing the air filter) or doing at Sears / Autozone just because it was cheaper. However, I think Lexus did a good job doing the general checkup services and washed my car well.
    The second time, I just went in for another minor service. Everything was done quickly (less than 2 hours) and no one tried to sell me additional services or parts. Everything was perfect and my car was clean...though I'm a little sad that I didn't get an air freshener this time.
    I bought my new '07 IS 250 at Jim Falk and a great experience. Did most of the negotiating through email at various dealers in the area. The best offer I got was from Longo Lexus but Falk matched it and through in a few extras too.
    No complaints with the buying/pickup process at all.
    As for servicing, I still go to Jim Falk and after about a year and a half, no complaints.  I've never had a problem getting a day and a time that I wanted. Everyone there is always nice and answer any question that I have had.
    A good thing about their service center on Robertson is its proximity to shopping and restaurants if that's your thing.  I walk off, go feed my face and hang out in the area while waiting for the call to come back to get the car-bada boom, bada bing..
    Just because it's Beverly Hills doesn't mean you'll get outstanding service.
    I bought a LS600h at this dealership with extended warranty and service. I should have thought twice about WHERE I was buying the car.
    I called about a recall and scheduled a week in advance to have it fixed. Today, I received a call confirming the appointment and an hour later, they advised me that they had used the parts they were going to use for my car tomorrow, and that I needed to schedule another appointment and wait until the new parts came in. How does this make any sense?? I decided to take this appointment a week ago because they ensured that the parts would be available by my appointment time. When I confronted the service department, all I got was attitude and excuses about what happened.
    As a customer, I don't want to be treated like a one time sale. The sale continues long after the car is purchased. If a dealership like BH Lexus can ignore a loyal customer and shoot them down, what else are they capable of doing? We're customers, but we are people first. Don't make it so obvious that all you want is our money. Have some decency to talk to me and treat me like a person. Either way, i'm taking my business elsewhere.
    ******UPDATED******
    My husband received a call from the CS manager Regina regarding the issue above. Let me just say that I had no intention of changing my review/rating, nonetheless give even 1 star to this dealership.
    I'm only changing my rating because Regina took the initiative to contact me and apologize for the actions above. Her professionalism in handling the situation as well as her politeness definitely deserves credit. SHE is what you EXPECT from a BH Lexus dealership, not the other guys. Two bumps up; 1 for effort, 1 for the fast response.
    I've transferred out to Lexus of Glendale, but if you decide to check this dealership out, ask for Regina. She'll look after you, definitely more than the others will.
    Walking into a Lexus dealer in Beverly Hills could be an intimidating venture for some, especially when I've been driving the same car for 15 years. But Stuart's genuine and professional demeanor calmed any fears I may have had from the moment I walked in the door. There was never any pressure put on me to purchase and he helped me secure a great price (and a great car) that I was looking for!
    Kathryn took great care of all the contracts and DMV items for my purchase with speed and ease.
    Very informative and never pushy, Stuart and Kathryn are definitely first class.
    I came to this dealership looking for a convertible - wasn't sure which model or even whether to get a new or used. I had a fantastic experience - patient sales person, no pressure tactics, very helpful in finding a car that meet my needs and my budget. Spent a total of 4 hours test driving and reviewing. It was better than my experience with any of the other dealers. Ask for Jin Cho - great guy! Very easy to do business with and very professional. You won't regret it.
    Based on my experience at this dealership I would encourage others to re-consider getting their car serviced at Jim Falk Lexus of Beverly Hills. I brought my car in for only a brake inspection, but ended up getting charged $200 for an oil+filter change that I specifically said I did not need, as it was done a month ago.
    The service consultant I dealt with was going through the, I will admit, very detailed and thorough list of recommended service repairs that needed to be done. But this all done when I did not request it, based on the age of my car and the last date of service. Because of these facts, I feel that he took advantage of the situation and tried to make a measly few hundred dollars (1) on a service I did not request and (2) without giving much thought to what business he may be losing. The preliminary estimate he printed out for me before the car was inspected said nothing about an oil change that I had requested or that he recommended, yet he still had it done and charged me for it.
    Beverly Hills or not, I expected better from a dealership, regrettably will not be bringing my car back again.
    Stay away from Salesperson Michael Heredia.  He will lie to your face to close a deal.  He did it to me.  During the sale, he told me to call him with any questions after, but after leaving half a dozen messages over a couple months, I never got one call back.  He has a bad attitude.  Find someone else to work with you during this process.
    Bought a CPO Lexus 400H there last night and the buying experience was great.  Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful (Travis and Safi and the financing guy whose name I forgot) without making me feel too pressured.  There was a little wear on the backseat armrest and they agreed to fix it without charge.  The price was fair too compared to the higher prices at SM lexus and other dealers.
