This Jiffy Lube is right around the corner from my office, and I have never been disappointed with the service here. After my first visit, they have my car on file, so everytime I go, they can automatically figure out what kind of service my car needs.
It had been nearly a year since I was last there (I had troubles with my car so had the last few services done at the dealership to make sure everything was OK). The first thing that impressed me was when people in the staff had a smile on their face, and said to me that it had been a while since they last saw me. I thought that added a little personal touch that I am not used to.
When they were explaining to me what service I needed, and what it cost, I thought the price was pretty reasonable (compared to what the dealership charges me), and then also told them that my wipers were getting worn, and I would need to get the replaced. Another nice touch was when they advised me not to replace the wiper blades just yet because it was starting to get more and more sunny, and it would suck to buy new blades, have them dry out over the summer, and not get full use of them, and suggested that I waited until after summer to replace them, and that I could save some money now instead. I thought that was really helpful, and something that I didn't really think about.
The servicing is also really quick. Again, I am used to the servicing at the dealership, so sometimes I end up stuck at the dealership for 2-3 hours to do a simple 3,000 mile check-up, where these guys can get it done in about 30 - 45 minutes.
I am now getting ready to buy a new car, and I know I will definitely be bringing it to this Jiffy Lube when the warranty runs out... :D

Walked out after being ignored for 10 minutes while other customers and other tasks more important were taken care of. A simple "Hi, be right with you" seemed well beyond their training.
Jiffy Lube is a formulaic oil change stop. The location is particularly convenient (just turn South on Bowers off of Central) and extremely efficient. They were working on my car before they even had it in the bay. They open your door for you and are very polite. The only place that is more convenient is the Chevron stations where you can stay in your car the whole time. Of course, if you want to save money, you can change your own oil...

These stops are the fast food of car repair and they need to take note. You are greated very friendly and respectfully upon arrival and during your visit. It's an old world style akin to having a personal valet. Service never seems fast enough, but that is car maintenance. You chose what you need but they will recommend service based on car co. They have installed a 5 CD wall unit to listen while you wait. There is Carl's next door so one can get lubed and fed on a busy weekend afternoon.

This Jiffy Lube really screwed up the installation of a cabin air filter on my 1996 Taurus. The put it in upside down. When the rains started in the fall, this caused $420 damage to my car, which I had to have fixed at my Ford dealership. I am now having a terrible time trying to get Jiffy Lube to reimburse me for the $420. I doubt I will be successful. Stay away from this Jiffy Lube! I'm going to use the one on Stevens Creek in Cupertino from now on. They seem to be better.
Back in the day when I had a beater car, I'd take it for an oil change at this Jiffy Lube on Bowers/Central Expy.
Good thing I kept my stacks of Jiffy receipts.... WHY?
Because one time I went in for an oil change, they said they can't work on the car because the nut on the oil pan is stuck, seems that the last time I had an oil change whomever worked on the car stripped the oil pan screw. I told them this Jiffy Lube was the last place I had the oil changed, they said bring back the receipt and they'll work on the car. I'm like ok... I guess they didn't think customers kept their receipts, then again, why couldn't they just look up my info, afterall, it's all computerized, and the computers kept records of when I was last there (the receipts always had my history on it). I didn't bother asking for them to look it up, I knew I had the receipt.
Went back with the receipt, they worked on the car, they put a rag over the open oil cap over the engine, then put some vacuum sucking machine.
Looking PUZZLED, I ask:
ME: 'what are you doing'
JIFFY: 'to keep the oil from leaking down while we repair the stripped screw'
ME: 'uhh, ok'
They finished up the car, I pay them. I open up the hood to check things out, I see some smoke... they said "it'll burn off, was caused by some oil residue". I'm like "uhhh, ok".
Anyways, my car didn't become a car-b-que or blow up. I think I kept going back a couple more times before I sold the beater car. I gave the new owner the last Jiffy receipt.
I haven't gone back to Jiffy in my new car. Whew.
LUBE at your own risk.
The dude working the cashier messed up on a coupon and credited me a little over $2 too much. Score one for Joe M!!!!!!
I went to Jiffy to get standard oil & filter change like I normally do. Jiffy diagnosed an oil leak and asked that I take this to a mechanic. I did and the mechanic discovered the oil filter Jiffy installed was deffective and leaking. The filter looked old, as if it wasn't changed. I was charged by Jiffy for an oil change and filter, so that should have been brand new. Anyway, I got a new oil change at the mechnanic to fix this. I returned to Jiffy lube to get refunded because of their sloppy work. The manager on duty could not do a thing. He asked if we could prove it. Ha! We went through all this hassle and this is the customer service. They just lost 50 lifetime customers, me, all my coworkers,my family and hopefully you too.
