I have taken classes for over a year now from Jewelry Creations, and have loved every moment of it. Those three hours in my week have always flown by and have been the highlight of my week. There's great music playing in the background, people joking and laughing, and everyone is having a good time. Steve has been very patient in teaching and explaining the complex and intricate steps involved in the art of jewelry making. He expects nothing but first-rate craftsmanship from all of his students, and this expectation has also helped me to appreciate the entire process, not just the end result, of jewelry making.
Specialties
Specializing in hand fabrication of fine jewelry and art jewelry. The construction of jewelry works from sterling sheet metal and wire, soldering, shaping and forming, polishing and finishing. We want you to advance in the jewelry trade with the proper skills necessary to create fine work.
History
Established in 2004
Since 2004, the owner of Jewelry Creations Workshop, Steven Brownlee, was teaching privately and under his own name until 2008, when his dream began to come into view. Realizing the importance of the skills and the knowledge acquired over the 12 years in the jewelry trade, and how others could benefit from it, he officially open Jewelry Creations Workshop here in South Florida. Meet the Business Owner: Steven B.
Director of Jewelry Creations Workshops, in Miami, Florida. I've worked as a professional jeweler for the last 10 years, and worked as a bench jeweler for two prestigious jewelry stores, the latest in the San Francisco Bay Area, Alix & Company.
I remember the first time I began working with metal. A friend taught me how to make an intricate chain pattern. I was fascinated, working with my hands, creating amazing things; I soon saw the endless possibilities. I wanted to learn everything there was to know about metal and jewelry. I first started taking classes 12 years ago and have not stopped since. I believe you can never stop learning new tricks and techniques no mater how much you know.
I am a graduate of the Revere Academy of Jewelry Arts, San Francisco, CA. I am also certified with Jewelers of America as a Bench Jewelry Technician. I've been teaching the art of jewelry making for the last 5 years. I love what I do and I'm eager to share my passion and knowledge with you.
