Great place to play softball, baseball, basketball, or volleyball. Nestled in the city of Newark, this park has picnic tables, BBQ grills, a public bathroom, and plenty of space. I was recently here for an all-day sports day event and had a great time. The softball/baseball fields are decently maintained (they're too dry in my opinion) and the full court basketball court is state-of-the-art. Bring your own volleyball net or use the one already put up.
If you want a spot without a reservation, come here early and stake out 1 of the 4 picnic areas.
