Agree with all of the comments here.

The furniture looked good in the showroom, but what we actually received was markedly different.  The sofa bed arrvied with strings hanging off of most of the seams; we clipped them off with small scissors, but I'm concerned about the craftmanship.  The couch cushions are also a bit mis-shapen.

We also ordered two leather ottomans (the small squares).  We expected that for the extra $ for leather, we'd get nicely made, high quality goods, unfortunately, the leather seams are puffy , the interior floor of the ottoman some kind of crappy cardboard/pressed wood piece (with bends in it) and I haven't even mentioned that when the girl from the store was helping me to load them into my car, she snapped the cable to our radio antennae.  When I asked to speak with her manager to re-coup the cost of fixing it, she mumbled the person's name and then snapped "and we're not even obligated to help you".  Overall, poor experience, poor quality.  Shop elsewhere.  We spent $1600 on the above and I wish we had gone to IKEA instead.

Update - we sent a complaint through the Jennifer Convertibles web site and after several days, finally got a response offering to have a technician come over.  JC promised to have the technician contact us in 5 business days - it's been two weeks - no word - and when I wrote claims again to ask about the technician visit timing, the circular response was "it's up to the technician".  This experience has been painful beyond words.  Avoid this place - they don't deserve to be in business.

I would not recommend this place. Small, cramped and uncomfortable showroom. There was only one employee here and he didn't help us at all. We had to pick out a couch with no help from any salespeople because there were none.

We had to wait our turn to place an order to buy two couches. It took forever to place the order and then we found out that it would be three months to get the couches because we wanted a different color.

After a few weeks I wanted to call and get a status on our order. I had to call like five times before someone could find my order because there was again only one employee in the store.

We got the couches in the time frame promised but there are serious quality issues. The recliner ends are uncomfortable and hard to use. It's awkward to sit on even when it's not reclined. The couch feels very low to the ground and I feel like I bought a half-couch.

I guess I didn't spend that much money, but I feel that I could have gotten much better couches elsewhere for a slightly higher price. I think I would have been happier paying a little bit more someplace else.

I am so disappointed with their customer service.  Just because the prices are reasonable does not mean you should be able to do what you want.  Change your policy, and deliver in a window that is convenient for your customers, not your drivers!!!!  How dare you request I pay another delivery fee, when I clearly stated I am only available in the evening.  Another reason why chains don't stay around for too long, they quickly forget the customer is usually always right!!!

I was very disappointed in the service I received while I was shopping yesterday. I was insulted over and over again but the salesman. He complained about the customers and said that when he leaves he is going to write a book about stupid customers. I have never dealt with such a nasty salesman and don't plan on giving Jennifer Convertibles my business. Yuck!

Avoid it.
Jennifer Convertible in Palo Alto treated me nicely with respect and were very accommodating.  However, I found what I needed in the San Mateo store.  I bought two couches from the San Mateo store.  The first couch sprung a spring the first week and the frame on the 2nd couch broke Three and half months after purchase.  Their product looked good in the show room.  The manager Atif told me if anything goes wrong with the furniture Jennifer Convertible stands behind their product.  He said it gets fixed or gets replaced.   Not so true.
The manager turned out to be a joke.  Unfriendly, rude and combative.
Treated me badly.  The company is slow to respond and it takes forever for them to respond to service calls. Its been 6 weeks and I have not yet had a service person taking care of my couch with the broken frame.   The only consolation is that I didn't pay a ton of money for crappy couches.   I guess its true you get what you pay for...and I did.
