What a pleasure to have a service with jennifer! If you are looking for a 'real' facial with a true professional then stop here. Her products are fantastic, with yummy ingredients that give great results. She also does a super job with eye brows and tinting. It's always a treat to have her 'do me'.

Jennifer Clark is truly as good as it gets. She is a total professional, entirely personable, and does a beautiful facial. My skin feels silky for weeks and I leave her salon feeling refreshed, calmed and pampered. What more could I ask for.

I got my first ever wax ( any kind of wax in general) here. Me and two of my friends decided to go because we'd never gotten brazillians before. When we first stepped in it was so cramped and had no space for anything that I started to wonder if we got the wrong place. I volunteered to be the first and I have to admit I felt so awkward being so bare, but I got over it (considering my purpose for being there in the first place). The lady was so nice and she kept talking to me, most likely to keep me distracted, and she was assuring me that it wouldn't be too bad. And you know what? She was right. I wasn't in that much pain and she seemed like she was very thorough. Me and my friends left all giddy and happy, like we had just gotten over our biggest fears or something LOL.
Then the next day hit. I noticed that she wasn't completely thorough and I found a few hairs here and there. When I talked to my friend she said the exact same thing. BUT we got the discounted price when we went so I can't really complain. She gets 3 stars for being such a friendly person and being so considerate to the fact that me and my friends were totally nervous and freaking out. Would I ever go again?? maybe for the same discounted price, but I'd have to think about it. -

I've been going to Jennifer since 2007 and ever since then... I go to no one.
My first Brazilian (it was brutalizing!) and so I asked my good friend for help. She said she has a lady and changed her life. What are friends for?
I scheduled my appointment and told her my background. She was very understanding and caring. Not to mention CLEAN!
You can't ask for anything else. She takes her time and never rushes. She accommodates you during those "MUST" moments like I've had a couple of times and she's been my savior!
The lavender wax + the before and after prep = I'm spoiled. She also suggests and cares for your skin...
PS: apparently, that good friend of mine... referred 25% of our ex-company to go here.
If you need a new esthetician, trust me... you can't go wrong with her. 3 years--that's longer than most people's relationships! -

I have been a customer for about 3 years now and as long as I live in San Francisco this will only be the place I get my bikini done. By far, the best (Brazilian) Wax expert...she has done an amazing job and I love it! Much less painful, she gave me a wonderful advice about my skin and she charges very reasonable money at such location and always with a schedule that will work for you no matter what. She is a genuine person who truly cares about her customers...
Her facials are amazing too; she will work and work with you to give you best solutions to get your best skin ever!
Could not recomment more!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE YOU, JEN!!!!! -

I love the way she's always constantly 'upgrading' her skills by going for various diplomas/training courses, so you know she's really dedicated to her field.
It's a nice little 'office'-spa thats warm, neat, but very little frills (hence the reasonable prices). It's nice to be able to come in, feel totally at ease to explain how i want my treatment done, and also, not worry about having to put up with "hard-sell" of other spas (where they'll try to sell you other treatments and products..and you feel really bad if you don't buy a whole bunch of stuff u really don't need).
PS: I like the way i could call her up and beg to be squeezed in in time for an all-important function or date :) -

I was referred here by a girl pal who always looks fab and takes no BS. My friend recommended Jennifer b/c I was whining about the average Brazilians I was getting in SF. Having been getting them for over 10 years, and been to salons on three Continents - I know what I like and wasn't getting it.
That was until I visited Jennifer. I rate her Brazilian technique as one of the best I've had. Not to mention she is in a super convenient location (right on top of Powell St station), and very reasonably priced.
I love how Jennifer is the proprietor of the business and I appreciate that she takes appointments via email (which really align with how I organise my life). Jennifer will come across a bit quiet for a beauty therapist at first... but she is quick to remember you and before long you'll be chatting like old pals:)

Ah! A place I can get a bikini wax during my lunch break. It's in the perfect location for those who work in the Union Square area.
I got a brazillian wax for $55 and Jennifer was done in 15 minutes. I can't say any wax is comfortable but she did a good job and she rubbed a lotion on it afterwards which was nice. -

got a regular bikini wax here, and it was a pleasant experience
the lavender wax jennifer uses really does minimize pain
i'm now 4 weeks post wax, and notice less ingrown hairs than when i go to a nail salon
jennifer was very nice and kept up casual conversation

Jennifer Clark is great at what she does - she knows what she is doing and she doesn't rush it. In addition - she is super friendly and thoughtful.
I had been to three other waxing salons in SF before I found Jennifer (through a referral from a friend/savior).
I am a huge fan and Jennifer deserves a 5 star rating. -

I've been going to Jennifer for the last five years and should have written amazing things about her sooner! I was reading over what others have said and it seems as if whether it's for skin or other, Jennifer is gentle, knowledgable, friendly, and comfortable. I feel like my skin has had a personal relationship with her and she knows exactly how to take care of it. It's just top-notch individual attention, which is ultimately what anyone wants. I actually prefer her cozy setting vs. a spa/salon - it's private and really quiet. You will never second-guess choosing Jennifer over someone else for a ton of reasons!

For Brazillian Wax..jennifer is def not that great. it is definitely the first and last time experience. she was not very friendly and her LAVENDER WAX??? its more painful than regular wax for me...it took her 30 min to do mine and she didn't even shape it right! there was still some long pieces of hair that I don't think its supposed to be there but yeah..definitely mediocre...

I found Jennifer on the net; ironically, by going to a review website. My previous skin care specialst had left the area and I did not like her referral. Jennifer is very professional: always on time and very graicous when a wayward client is not! What I love most about her is that she does not sell her products, which she stocks in abundance,aggressively. I also enjoy that while she is friendly and easygoing, she is not overly chatty. I always feel that I am in control of the flow of conversation ; that there's no pressure to talk and I can just relax. I highly recommend her.

Unfortunately, Jennifer's service has slipped a bit since my original review, so I am downgrading it to 3 stars. Lately, she has taken up surfing the net while my face is being steamed, while in the past she would spend at least some of that time massaging my hands and neck. I would not ordinarily compain about that, but since she rhad aised her prices, I have decided to go elsewhere.
Also, I've been very sensitive lately to the products that she uses, especially the acids, as my skin is very delicate. I had to find someone willing to exfoliate manually, and not with chemicals. I still recommend her, but not with as much enthusiasm. -

I had a great experience with Jennifer today. I went for a lip wax and I came away with practically no redness which is the first time I've experienced that. Her place has a warm, comfortable energy and it's quiet and convenient. She's definitely a pro! Thank you Jennifer!!

Two words for you. Brow Goddess! Jennifer really is an expert... I've always been 100% happy with her skincare services. And it's so great to schedule directly with her, as opposed to a receptionist. Plus, she's located in Union Square so it's a great excuse to fit in some shopping beforehand!

I was a waxing novice until about 1.5 years ago and selected Jennifer through Citysearch's great reviews. Good move, in my opinion, because I think she's the best. I tried two other places since I had to move to the East Bay last year but they weren't even close to comparable. As long as I live in the Bay Area, Jennifer will be it. She is super nice, gentle, easy to talk to, a good listener and quick. I also like the fact that her space is uncluttered and simply neat. My hubby also got a facial from her once and his skin was glowing. No breakouts, especially since he has extremely sensitive skin. Jennifer rocks.

I've been going to Jennifer for several years; in fact, most of my household goes to Jennifer for their varied waxing needs. She's very skilled, she carries great skincare products, she's very friendly and warm, while still being professional. Her office space is not fancy but very pleasant. I've never been disappointed with her services in any way.

I've been going to Jen for over 2 years and she has done wonders to clear up my skin. Her prices are extremely reasonable and she custom tailors facials with the right peel, mask, etc. for your skin's needs. Unlike other facials I've had, Jen's extractions are never the incredibly painful kind and her entire treatment is so relaxing, I usually fall asleep! I highly recommend her facial and waxing services!!

Jennifer is AMAZING. I came here recommended by a friend, and I've referred 2 more friends to her. She's friendly and nice and doesn't make you uncomfortable. Come on, getting your hoo ha waxed isn't the best experience in the world right? The first time I went to see Jennifer she was way nice, respectful and very professional and she hasn't changed since then. Also, since she works alone, you don't have to worry about her shouting over her shoulder about you in a foreign language to another coworker like so many other places I've been.

I echo what everyone else has already said- Jennifer is fantastic! She's so gentle, offers advice without trying to sell you a bunch of stuff you don't need, and is great to talk to/makes you feel super comfortable! She also does what she can to work you in when you're trying to get a last minute appointment.

Jennifer owns and runs her own business, which is a nice change from the spas with a bunch of non-English-speaking employees who seem to change every week. Her place is small and accomodates one client at a time - great for privacy and a non-chatty/catty atmosphere.

For years I had been alternating between Benefit and no-name nail places for my waxing needs, but no longer. Jennifer is incredibly gentle, thorough and patient. She uses the best products, and I notice a real difference - each wax lasts longer and irritates my skin less. And the facials she gives are a wonderful treat that are finally helping me a escape puberty. She creates a comfortable and welcoming environment, and offers a range of products but refrains from any up-selling. She is a true professional, and REALLY good at what she does. You'll be glad you found her.

I would give Jennifer more than 5 start if Yelp allowed it! I became a client of Jennifer's 6 years ago, after I moved here from Europe. I found her through Yelp and her salon has been one of the best discoveries ever. I had a variety of treatments and found Jennifer always competent and professional, and she has always recommended the most suitable options/products for my skin. On top of this, Jennifer is extremely nice and it is pleasant to have a conversation with her when the type of treatment allows for it. I highly recommend Jennifer Clark Skincare.

I found Jennifer through Yelp, and I'm grateful that I did. I usually had my eyebrows waxed at a local nail salon, and I even tried threading a couple of times. I have sensitive skin, so I always left the salon/threading station with very red skin. Also, what was missing from those experiences were patience and giving a quality experience. Jennifer has all of that in her little office in the Flood Building. She's a very calm, friendly person who is obviously very good at what she does. I went to her for a lip and brow wax. I had never had my lip waxed before, and she did warn me that I could break out a bit from it. I have, but it's nothing that a little concealer can't cover up. She made sure that I was as comfortable and relaxed as possible, and she has a very gentle touch. I mean, it is waxing, so there will always be some discomfort, but it felt nice to know that she was taking her time with her work, and not rushing me through the process. Plus, I got a 20% discount for being a first time client! I highly recommend going to Jennifer. I plan to visit her again sometime soon!

I have been seeing Jennifer for a few years now for acne facials. Prior to seeing her, I had huge pimples all over my face and hated leaving my house! Now, I have clear skin and am so grateful for all that Jennifer has done for me. She is very gentle, professional, and I recommend her to anyone who wants to see results. Although I agree with the reviews before me, there isn't one specific review for the deep pore facial which was the first, only, and last facial I've received. Yes, the atmosphere is good and not too chatty, and she doesn't push products on you, her prices are good, and she is patient. But about the actual facial, I still have marks from the break outs that Jennifer lanced way too hard, I've never seen my skin react this way to pimples by leaving dark spots that I hope are not permanent. Also, one of my biggest problem areas are those lovely black heads on the nose which she skipped. Although she wasn't in a hurry, she kind of skipped around my face when doing the extractions which made me feel like not every inch was inspected. I don't think I'll be going back.

I highly recommend Jennifer's services from waxings to facials. I've been going to Jennifer for about 2 years and have yet to be disappointed. She's very professional and her products are wonderful- ask about her facial moisturizers! Her space is right by SF Shopping Center so super convenient if you work in the downtown area too.

Jennifer is amazing at waxing. She has a talent for shaping brows (even if they have been butchered by a less capable wax) and her Brazilian wax's are through and relatively painless. At $50 for a Brazilian and $25 for brows, it is a bit pricey but if you can afford it, worth every penny.

Jennifer is awesome. I have been going to her for over a decade. She is gentle with the waxing, extremely knowledgable about skincare and wonderful with pedicures - all in a calm, relaxing and clean atmosphere. Plus she is in an awesome location, surrounded by great shops, restaurants and the new shopping mall. I have very sensitive skin and I won't trust it to anyone but her.
