With the time crunch that most of us feel in our everyday lives, sometimes you just want someone else to handle your life. Most times it would be more economical to pay someone else to do things you just don't want to do. For some people, it's maid, concierge or daily mundane task services. For me, it's shopping.
I know, it's strange for a girl to not like shopping. Generally, I can handle it for about 30 minutes before I start getting antsy. Some of us had made bad shopping choices of items that just don't go with our wardrobes. Some of you want luxury items without the full luxury prices. (Sometimes SLC is just so frumpy in its shopping choices, especially when you're not a size 0-4.)
I found the perfect solution for my shopping problems with Jenna Doughton, a life stylist. I first met Jenna at the SLC downtown Nordstrom where she was a personal shopper and followed her to the Fashion Show Nordstrom. Jenna opened up her business recently as a life stylist, and she helps you with wardrobe assessment, closet organization, resale facilitation (selling of your items that are saleable), personal shopping, gift selection and packing services (for travel). This new business gives her more flexibility to shop at places other than Nordstrom to find items just for you.
I use Jenna mostly for shopping. I have worked with her long enough to trust her implicitly to find things for my wardrobe that blends with my existing wardrobe. Because I used to work in a conservative environment, she always found classic pieces that would work with my wardrobe while still making me look fashionable. She also convinced me to try things that I would never try before and has widened my wardrobe. (Believe me, I still need work, but less so than before.) Someday, I plan on purchasing some gently used luxury items from her as well.
Jenna has clients in Nevada and Utah and travels to Salt Lake for visits with clients. If you need an outfit for an event, trust Jenna to find you something fabulous. You can even get her assistance in Las Vegas if you're in town.
