My husband Joe and I couldn't have been more pleased with our experience working with the dynamic duo Jen and Chris of Jen Stewart Photography. What I love so much about this husband/wife team is their different yet complimentary aesthetics. While Chris is a bit more edgy and artistic, Jen brings a more classic and romantic eye to create a final product that is completely awe-inspiring. And then their easygoing, fun-loving personalities are just icing on the cake.
Beyond their mad photography skills and rad personalities (yes rad is a very befitting adjective to describe this couple), what I also appreciated about Jen & Chris is their balance of personal and professional service. They took the time to get to know us and brainstormed how to make both our engagement and wedding photos unique and reflective of our personalities and relationship. Couples wanting to do something outside of the box and avoid the cookie cutter rose garden photos (you know what I'm talking about) look no further!
Not only is this husband and wife team beyond talented, they are so much fun to hang out with. They made our first engagement session so comfortable that my husband and I were able to pose naturally and just have a good time. We almost forgot we were being photographed!
We decided we definitely wanted to use them again for our wedding and we are so glad we did. The pictures were simply amazing. Jen was able to spend the day with us girls while her husband Chris was off with the guys getting ready. It made for incredible memories and it was so important for us to be able to see the whole day as it progressed, especially when the day was such a whirlwind.
They went above and beyond your average wedding portraits. There were no stuffy poses and uncomfortable positioning involved; everything just felt natural even with them directing. 90% of the pictures were candid and captured the raw emotions and excitement of the day. We also received a custom photo album unlike any album I have ever seen before as well as a slide show to music and a DVD with copies of all our photos for the day.

Chris and Jen Stewart are a husband and wife photography team based out of Roseville, in Northern California. We regularly service the greater Sacramento area, we are also available for travel.
We specialize in modern wedding photography, lifestyle family and baby portraiture, and personalized modern senior portraits.
Our personalities & photo styles couldn't be more different, and yet we compliment each other completely. Jen's passion is to capture the quiet emotion, personality and beauty. Chris loves to bring out the edgy side, capturing the raw essence and emotion of each person. We fuse our love of both photojournalism and fashion photography to bring your photos a truly unique look.
History
Established in 2006
Jen Stewart Photography was launched as a family & portrait studio by Jen Stewart. Jen's vision was to provide families with a visual memory of who their family truly is. Shortly after launching, Chris (Jen's husband) came on board & brought his edgy fun, carefree style to the mix. Chris worked with our first wedding couple to encourage Jen to broaden the company horizons & included weddings & we haven't looked back since!
We love the balance the different styles our photo sessions/events bring. It gives our creative juices a balance and constant challenge.
What is the biggest challenge in a creative oriented business? Becoming stagnant & doing the same, safe thing each time. We work hard to prevent that by constantly challenging each other to look at life, our business & our photography differently with each photo we take. We attend workshops & classes with other professionals to keep us fresh, constantly learning, growing & current with the market and what our clients want.

We have been married for 11 years and have have 4 children, 3 boys and a baby girl.
Chris jokes that our house is like Chuck E Cheese, minus the mouse, haha.
We like to laugh, and find the joys in life. We both love meeting new people and have enjoyed the side benefit, we've seen through our photography, of new friendships through our clients.
We share a passion to record each individual's story through photos, in a beautiful, modern, personal way.
