FOORRREE!!! Sike. I'm not a real golfer, just a mini one. Mini golfing, that is.

I came to Jefferson Park with Hyunoo P., Justin L. and Ed G. to get my putt putt on. Can I just say, this is probably one of the better mini golf courses I've been to, locally anyways (a comparison to a beach mini golf course just wouldn't be fair). The course is relatively small but is well-kept. The biggest downside to the whole course is that there wasn't a theme to the course (I'll just save that for the Perils of the Lost Jungle mini golf course in Sterling). I liked that the last hole had a mini "river" (just a stream of dyed blue water). A nice touch!

Definitely worth a try if you're looking for something relatively cheap to do and that doesn't require any level of skill in order to still have fun.

I want to give them a bad review because I came in last in our group of 3's mini-golf outing but I really can't.

The mini-golf course is pretty well-maintained. The water was flowing where it was meant to be flowing (fountains, fake rivers) and each hole varied from degree of difficulty (some of the easy looking ones were not so easy). There was no par suggested for each hole but it's fair to say that it's either 2 or 3.

    Would return...for redemption!

Note: No credit cards; cash or checks only and slow play kills golf.

So I was honestly surprised that the course is actually pretty good because from the outside it looked a little so-so.  It was $6 and totally worth it.  There is one course that if you hit it down the waterfall it gives you a hole in one.  Pretty cool!

I am by no means a golf pro, but I do enjoy the driving range.  This park has a great beginner 9 hole course!  My short game is so horrendous, but this course was a great introduction.  Here, I am able to flaunt my prodigious driving skills and at the same time practice my atrocious short game without feeling self-conscious.  The golfers are usually very nice and patient - just don't take forever to hit the ball, that's a rule for any course.

On weekends and holidays it will cost you $21 to play and all other times it's $17.  I wouldn't recommend getting a golf cart here cause the course is definitely walkable.  I do usually get the pull cart cause I'm a princess ($4.50).

I must also mention that this park has 8 tennis courts.  I come here all the time to play tennis.  The courts are clean and they have lights that stay on till about 11pm.  Usually in the summertime the courts are always filled after 6pm.

One day after getting let out early from jury duty (lucky me), I decided to play the Jefferson course to kill sometime before I went into work.
I made a really good decision.

The old starter lady was hitting on me as I set up my tee time, anytime you go into a round feeling like a total stud muffin you know its going to be an amazing round.

I was lucky enough to be able to play the 9 holes by myself which was a 1st for me.  It was also such a nice day that I walked the course.  Its a very easy course to walk.

No holes really stand out to me but its still a fun course.  The course is pretty wide open.   There isn't a lot of brush and a huge amount of trees on the sides of the fairways so if you hit it into the trees you have a good chance of being able to hit it out, or at the very least finding your ball and tossing back into the fairway like a real pro.

The day I played the gods were with me because I was hitting it very straight and the fairways were very dry so the ball would roll and roll and roll.  I remember the greens being more challenging then I expected with nice undulating (love that word) greens.

This is a really great course for beginners or anybody looking for a fun quick round with a nicely maintained course

A great little public Fairfax County-operated 9 hole "executive" golf course.

The course is a short par 35, but with some challenging holes.

Greens fees are very low, and there's a practice putting green near the clubhouse (which serves basic food and drink).

    Some Highlights:

The 4th hole is a tricky par 4 dogleg left around the lake (hitting over the water is not allowed) with a huge green.

The 5th hole can be difficult with water on the left and a need to move the ball around the water and avoid the woods in order to be in line with the green..

The 6th hole has a nice elevated tee, and the 7th hole is a very short par 3.

    All-in-all, a very enjoyable and well-maintained 9 hole course.

very fun and well maintained golf course.  I am a beginner in training to the sport and found this course challenging, but not too hard.   most of the challenge was in myself ;).

over all i really enjoyed this course.  i went alone and didnt have that long of a wait to be paired up with a group of 4, and the staff was well organized.

i definitely see myself returning quite often to this course to help my game improve.

As Avenger R. says, "A great little public Fairfax County-operated 9 hole "executive" golf course."  My husband and I love to play this course for an inexpensive round that will not take all day.  Friendly staff and well-maintained course.

I see why no one has reviewed the mini golf portion of this park--I was the only one stupid enough to go to it. This is the most lame mini golf I've ever been to. It's old and neglected. I thought at least the last hole would be fun (you know, where you have to shoot the ball into a clown's mouth or something silly like that) but nope. Totally unremarkable, just like the other holes. Too bad I don't play golf since the golf course has great reviews.

Pretty good mini golf course, with some challenging spots. Decent place for an amusing date. I went last summer and plan to return again with the warmer weather this year.

Fun course to work on your short game.   always in pretty good shape.

Only problem:   they don't sell beer.   what's up with that?
