Ha... yeah, the owner is a bitch. I went in there once to ask a question about a neighboring business that got shut down. She looked at me coldly and grumbled, "How should I know." I got the feeling I was interrupting her day, even though there was no one in the shop. I love antique shops and I love looking around the stores in the area, but the tone of her voice and her attitude communicated to me that she never wanted me to set foot in her business again - and from what I could make out from my brief visit - all she does have in there is overpriced junk. You'd think that someone running a cookie jar shop might have a more friendly demeanor. I don't know how she expects to stay in business by being rude to people who mean no harm.

OMG--I cannot belive the "good" reviews left this interesting tidbit out--THE OWNER CHARGES TO GET INTO THE STORE!! yes, there is a 1.00 "admission" charge--is this even legal?? I remmber years ago when she was in another location going in and she (owner) grunted and barely made eye contact--Now to charge an addmission fee?/ Can you imagine if Target, Bloomingdales, Jewwel charged you money to walk in?/ CRAZY Theres many Antique Stores in this area--with friendly owners who dont care if you go in and browse--thsi lady is cukoo!!-

Cookie jars, kitchen kitsch, and some really great finds line the shelves in this tiny shop.
It's a great place for those with patience and a sense of style not dictated by the latest Crate and Barrel catalogue to find unique pieces for the cupboards.

Someone else's junque could be your treasure! But don't let the title fool you because this is far from a junk store. Instead you can find a HUGE variety of antiques and kitchen collectibles.
Originally the shop was located on Lincoln Ave and focused mainly on cookie jars; in its new location, you can find much more than cookie jars. In fact, I think that's one item they have the least of there. But if you're a cookie jar nut and that's what you're looking for, the owner knows all there is to know and can help you hunt one down. If she doesn't have a jar you want, I think she'll even take your info and call you if she ever comes across it.
Okay, I'll admit I'm a little biased because the store is owned by a friend's mom, but the shop is super cute and definitely worth a trip if retro kitchen collectibles are your thing. You're bound to find old episodes of I Love Lucy playing on the television and at least one item you never thought you needed but now you can't live without.
Do you find yourself dripping with nostalgia and longing for the simple days where the biggest disappointment was that you had to wait until after dinner to have another cookie? Are you willing to buy a $80 cookie jar to seal those memories tight in your mind? Then this place is for you! They have quite a collection of cookie jars of various brands and places in time. This store is not just for the casual kitsch collector: you will find rare collectible cookie jars behind the glass counter for quite a pretty penny (some hundreds of $$)! Moms and kitschsters alike though will find some love to put back into the kitchen between the moderately priced retro McDonalds glasses and ceramic kitties and pandas.
Good for finding some cute salt and pepper shakers! Make it a conversation starter at your next dinner party!

This is the store to go to if you LOVE cats and cat paraphernalia! She's got everything, figurines, posters, clocks, even a shelf structure with cats engraved in it! Perfect for house decor or gifts! But, you have to love cats..
