i had a pulled pork sandwich here and really liked it. i was surprised actually because this place is in the middle of a generic shopping mall. i love their condiment area with jalapenos, onions, pickles and a variety of sauces.
i dont know about the rest of their menu but i would be willing to try absolutely everything on it.
What Jeremy writes doesn't even make sense. Who appointed you God's gift to Bloomingdale so you use your new toy to run (iPhone) and rate restaurants like SUBWAY, Cherrys, etc. Gimme a break. This is the 4th review of yours I read and I just had to say something.
Jaymer-Q is awesome BBQ. To say he doesn't specialize in any particular BBQ is ridiculous. The Texas Brisket is awesome - any person from Texas would feel "at home" eating this stuff. The pulled pork is clean without fat & grease - not just chopped up and thrown on a plate. The dry rub ribs are moist and tender.
There's so many good things at JQ you just have to go try it.
Don't listen to a guy who writes a review on Subway.
I have been going to Jaymer's BBQ for a few years, and it keeps getting better and better. I have eaten BBQ all over the country (Kansas, Missiouri, Arkansas, Florida,Georgia) and Jaymer's is the best. The pulled pork is so tender and has no fat and the taste is out of this world. His prices are good for the amount of food that you get. The staff is great, they make you feel welcome. The prime rib is the best.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and in this person's opinion. It would be shame not to give Jaymer's BBQ a try.
Okay BBQ the problem is they try to do all BBQ and there is no specialization. They do everything okay and nothing great. Good pulled pork though, but the staff is great.
