1 review for Javalive
To be fair, I didn't actually try the coffee here. It was a warm day and I wanted a cool drink so I had the iced raspberry tea, which was tasty (it was already sweet so those of you who automatically add sweetener to iced tea, be warned). They were drawing a good steady crowd for coffee and for Bridgeman's ice cream while I was there. They also had some baked goodies and a few other things to eat.
I like the interior because it is the epitome of shabby-chic. First of all, it's a huge place (and, I think this was the old pool hall in town). There are a bunch of big mismatched tables with chairs around them, lots of sofas and chairs, and a little stage way in the back. They have some magazines on racks and a water cooler for free water while you are there. They also have free wi-fi so this turned out to be a nice space for me to work for a few hours. It was mostly quiet until just after school let out for the day, when a crowd of teenage girls converged and hung out for a while (it was around this time that the music seemed to get really loud, too - bring an iPod and you'll be fine).
This is a very comfortable place that is nice for hanging out and working. There is also plentiful parking on the street out front and they have a few outdoor tables. I'd return.
