    Two words: SALAD BAR.

On Thursdays, my roommate and I take a Boot Camp fitness class at the rec, which is basically an hour of legal torture done by an overenthusiastic lady in bright spandex. After each class, we swear off all junk food and sodas for the next 24 hours, and then the pain goes away and we're back to our normal, college-kid diets.

This place is our perfect Thursday dinner spot. The first time we came, we stood awkwardly at the front of the store and waited to be seated for a good 10 minutes. Neither of us had dined-in before, so we didn't know that they had a separate register in the back for salad bar customers. Oops.

One of their waiters noticed us making awkward faces and sat us down right in front of the salad bar. And what a beautiful salad bar it was. It's about half the length of the one at Sweet Tomatoes (the mother of all salads) which is more than enough variety. Their red pepper hummus is the greatest! Another plus is that they have TWO containers of cherry tomatoes. I probably eat more tomatoes than anyone should, and I was really excited to see someone refilling the containers every 10ish minutes.

You can get a bowl of soup on the side for only $0.99. I'm a big fan of the vegetarian tomato basil while my roommate loves the vegetarian french onion.

For dessert, there's chocolate mousse, cottage cheese, fruit salad, and mini muffins (corn and chocolate). There's also free ice cream by the drinks station but usually we hate ourselves too much / are in too much pain to eat it on Thursdays :P

On your way out, grab a couple lollipops! THEY'RE ORGANIC. I shamelessly take a handful each time.

Ordered delivery for a group of us at work.

Online ordering is easy. All the options and special notes are available to enter (no pickle, light mayo etc etc) so that was nice.

The deli called me after i ordered online to ask a question about the order.  Very friendly on the phone.

I had the chicken club salad and it was just eh.  The avocado was brown and sparse. The whole salad just didn't have much flavor.

Another coworker had the taco salad and said the chicken chili was great and made the salad.

The general consensus from the group was the food was just "okay."

I like having the option of healthy sandwich/salad/wrap delivery for lunch instead of the usual greasy options so maybe I'll give them another try.

Awful experience. If I was Jason, I would strip my name off of this deli.

After a long day of being sick, I called in a delivery order for me and a friend so i wouldn't have to fight the cold again just to retrieve a dinner. I got quoted the usual time of an hour for the delivery to come. After an hour had come and gone, I decided to call just to ensure that it was on it's way; however, I got rudely told that they hadn't left yet and then proceeded to get hung up on. I called back, canceling my order. Of course, an awesome ending to my sick-filled day.

The entire experience felt like I was inconveniencing their business by placing my order. Not fun.  I have not tried their food, and never will after this first impression.

Service here is absolutely horrendous - I ordered a chicken pot pie, with a sandwich from their take out line. Apparently there are no menus on the wall - you have to ask for it. It took about 25 minutes before anyone realized that they forgot to make my chicken pot pie. So this guy orders his staff to make it pronto - what do they do? They take whatever chicken stock is available in the back, put it in a disposable cup, and MICROWAVE IT!!!! That's right, I literally saw them microwave hot my soup.

To add to this, when I took it back to my home for eating (which is now 35 minutes and counting after I had placed the "to-go" order, I realized that the soup was just a chicken stock as I had suspected. There was no filling of any sort - no crust - they gave me a COLD pita bread on the side.

I will never come back here to eat again.

They didn't do a great job catering a company lunch (some missing items, and several people felt it was kind of crappy, myself included) but to their credit everything was properly labeled.

On a subsequent in-store visit, I really enjoyed the salad bar and, of course, the soft serve. Pleasant staff, at any rate.

*GLUTEN FREE RESTAURANT HAPPY TIME ALERT*
*FREE ICE CREAM HAPPY TIME ALERT*

I discovered this place and had a good meal. And there is a FREE SOFT SERVE ICE CREAM MACHINE. I am also gluten free. I see some reviewers had bad experiences so I will keep that in mind, because I do know that at times restaurant staffers do not take Gluten Free allergies seriously. But we had excellent service too, so I am happy. And there is FREE ICE CREAM.

People kept telling me to go to Jason's Deli. Meh. I got there, brought a friend who mentioned she was at one too. At one? There's no Jason? This is a chain? There are competing delis within a short walk, so I guess the bar was higher than if this were some suburban mall food court.

I had the only Reuben on the planet that didn't have Thousand Island dressing slathering all over it. Meh.

Free ice cream! OK, leave 'em happy.

Worst Jason's Deli I've ever experienced

From the staff to the portions this Jason's deli is simply not uniform or representative of the greatness that Jason's deli has come to be in my heart. I went to college in Austin, TX which is one of the early homes of this great franchise - so I know JD. I have been to the ones in Schaumburg, Oakbrook, and Park Ridge - all of them are impeccable and delicious. For some reason this one has horrible staff, subpar ingredients, terrible ambiance, and overall poor quality compared to all other Jason's Delis. I am truly disappointed.

If I lived or worked closer, I could see myself eating here multiple times a week...and it's not just because of the free ice cream [which is a HUGE plus].

I wasn't sure what to expect with Jason's Deli. I mean, a solid four stars on almost one hundred reviews? I thought to myself, "it's just a deli, right??" But hey, the place is spacious. It's cozy. The music puts me in a good mood. The staff is amazing [we'll get to that a little more].  The food is fresh, tasty, and perfectly portioned. And there's ice cream, which I ate to start and end my meal.

It was my our [the gf and I] first time at Jason's and we weren't sure what to order, so we asked a number of questions to the young fella taking our order. My girlfriend asked about the muffalettas and he gave the perfect description and the type of people who order them: olive lovers. He said you really gotta love olives...and she doesn't. So she opted for the grilled portobello wrapini. She enjoyed it, but said that it wasn't anything to write home about...I ordered the Chicago Club which has a lot of familiar flavors [turkey, bacon, spinach, tomatoes]. It was delish. I would order this all the time.

We almost ordered a baked potato...almost. The young man told us that it could take 25 minutes to make [which was nice of him]. He even offered a soup on the house if we wanted something else while we waited for the potato. Super nice guy. Some of the best customer service I've received recently.

I guess this is where I talk about ice cream. I love free ice cream. I mean, they've got chocolate, vanilla, and swirl. Nothing special. But they've got those little cones that bring back childhood memories. Plus, you can have as much as you'd like.

My like of this place was totally unexpected.  I ordered a Mediterranean wrap/tortilla soup and my husband had the chicken salad wrap. I really appreciate the healthy eating menu, which is where we ordered from.  Both wraps were really good; my husband's had pineapple mixed in which actually gave his wrap a good taste.  My favorite aspect of the meal was that you can get fresh vegetables as a side!  And these were no dried out, days old veggies;  they were steamed and fresher than I've had at some expensive restaurants.

Enjoyed the relatively comfortable atmosphere (plenty of booths!) and the free ice cream, although my husband thinks the ice cream is a negative as he "ruined" a perfectly healthy meal with TWO ice cream cones.  Overall, a good casual fast food restaurant with many healthy choices.

This is a great neighborhood jem, even though driving by it doesn't look like much. It is a chain restaurant, but the provide good, fresh meals and...free ice cream. :-) I love the taco salad with chicken chili, but I love even more that you can just relax, read and eat your lunch without anyone bugging you to leave.

If you are Gluten free-AVOID THIS PLACE!

Jason's touts that they have a GF menu, but the incompetent staff won't remember your order well enough to have it made correctly.

My husband stopped there after running a few errands.  I told him I wanted the "Chicago Club" with Gluten Free bread, no tomato.  He specifically told the employee the order to make sure that everything was correct. She even read it back to him!

He gets home with food in tow, and only for us to find that they made me a regular club with, ham, cheese and regular gluten laden bread. We did not make the drive back.  We called instead and read the riot act to the manager.  We did get a refund for the food, but we will not be back.

Slow and confused accurately describes the staff here.  On a contrasting note, the rueben was pretty good.  If the order taker wasn't so busy talking on the phone to his girlfriend or whoever it was, I might not have been able to get in and out in under 15 minutes.

Due to its proximity to other shopping places, the parking lot can be a bit chaotic.

Much more spacious than what I expected. Got myself a chicken salad and when it was brought out to me, they gave me an empty cup for the dressing. Yes, you have to get your own dressing after you've gotten all comfortable at your table. How about having the cashier ask what type of dressing we want, or just give us the cup right after we order? Come on, let's be efficient here. Time is money.

The food is healthy, but nothing spectacular. However, you do get a free ice cream cone. I don't have much of a sweet tooth so it doesn't help this review. Sorry. Haha.

Woo hoo...parking!!! Okay, aside from having parking which rates for a least a star when coming to Chicago restaurants, the food is pretty good too.

Yes it's a chain, I used to go to Manny's all the time and still do since they have parking, but since Manny's has gotten all cult like and they've gotten pricey, I've been going to Jason's.

I love the salad bar, I love that you can buy a one trip salad bar it's really all I need with a cup of soup. Because this place is reasonable and has free ice cream, it does attract couples with kids. However, since the dining room is large you can find a spot that is quieter if you're alone and want to read.

This is one of the places I feel comfortable coming to alone, since it's cafeteria style I don't feel like I'm wasting a servers time or table for just one.

I like that they're paying attention to the environment, the rest room has the lighting on a sensor, motion sensor faucets, and toilets with the option of flow for liquid or solid waste. They also keep them clean!

Favorite place that my girlfriend and I love going to.

She loves the meataballa sub and has gotten that every time we go there ( which is rare because she gets sick of the same foods all the time).

I've gotten the pasta, salad bar, sandwiches, subs, etc. Everything has been great. I've only had one incident when I got a take out order and ordered no onions and found onions once I got home.

Staff there is friendly and the food is delicious. PLUS you get freeeeeee ICE CREAM!!!!!!!!!

Also today they got x1000 cool points from me because they has the Bulls playoff game on their tv when I went in!

Jason's Deli is seriously, honestly and truly my lunchtime savior.  With no real fresh lunch options around me (ok, there's Subway, but....yeah.) Jason's is a godsend.  Here's why I love it so much:

+Jason's is a good 10 minute drive from my job, so thankfully they deliver.  However, their delivery fee is pretty hefty at $7!

+Luckily, if you work at a school or other non-for-profit, Jason's waives the delivery fee!  Just make sure to tell them ahead of time!

+Also tell 'em if you're tax exempt - they do not charge you tax!  Sweet!

+If you order for a large group, they package the orders up in individual bags AND label what's in 'em!  What a great idea!

+The food is GOOD.  Like, fresh ingredients, tasty combinations, LOTS to choose from.  My coworkers and I have looked through that menu many times and still wrestle with what to order.

+My favorite?  Either the Ranchero Wrap or Chicken Panini!  I always like getting fruit as my side, but the chips/chips and salsa are always good, too.

+Build-your-own sandwich option.  It's like Subway, but with frou-frou items.

+If you're not feelin' sandwiches, they also have soup, pasta, baked potatoes and salads!

+Be sure to order early if you want the food around lunchtime.  Like, 10am.  No, seriously.  They get busy!

+Always friendly service and, for the most part, accurate orders!

    Another South Loop win!

I stumbled across this place one evening after work looking for something different. When I stepped inside the word ORGANIC jumped out at me. A sandwich joint with organic veggies. WOW!  I ordered a muffletta-the veggaletta to be exact and it was simply scrumptious!

So you are probably wondering why only one star. Well, my friend and I were so impressed we ordered take out two days later. I had the exact same item the veggaletta muffletta (as featured on the "Food Network" is a slogan they have). I took one bite and immediately felt my throat close!

    OMG!!!

The only food allergy I have is peanuts. So I re-read the ingredients and have my friend call the manager Adam to find out what could have possibly happened. He essentially kept repeating, "Peanut-butter is stored separate from other items."  Well someone there must have cut a peanut butter sandwich with the same bloody knife as the veggaletta." After explaining that I am only allergic to peanut products.
Adam squeeks out a, "Sorry." But offers no refund, or nothing! I would not go back there, unless I have a death wish!

Had it been a child who has less of an immune system and had my allergy to peanuts, they may have not survived this unsuspected peanut planting in the food. Ugh,

So, if anyone has an allergy to peanuts.....BEWARE of Jason's Deli - especially in the South Loop!!!  They must not take special precaution in cross contamination of their peanut products--organic or otherwise! Not worth a trip to the Emergency room!

The only reason they get 4 stars is because I'm petty--the ice cream machine broke the last time I was there and I went home ice cream-lessly heartbroken.

Great sandwiches, their potatoes are the size of your head, and even their desserts are delicious. Free ice cream (when it isn't broken! :( ...yes I'm still whining about it) is a lovely bonus.

I like to go there with my roomie right before we go grocery shopping, which also cuts down on spending since we're not starving while we grocery shop. Sweet!

Alas, I have never been to Jason's deli but my office orders from here often and I must say, Jason's covers the following always:

    Tasty
    Healthy
    Easy to order
    On time
    No-nonsense

A good order-in option and the menu is HUGE.  A creature of habit, I always get some sort of soup (tomato is  my favorite) and the "lo-cal" turkey wrap.  Delicious-o! Can't wait to dine-in and I will do so soon (unless they bring that "free ice cream option" to their delivery menu.  That could be all kinds of awkward though). . . .

If you're ever in the South Loop area and in need of some lunch or dinner, PLEASE check it out!

I discovered the place over a year ago when I started working in the neighborhood. The place is always clean and everyone that works there chip in in every way. I've actually had managers bring my food if the other employees are in the middle of taking orders so you're not waiting forever for your food. Really great customer service all around.

All the food is fresh and made to order. Their sandwiches are always filled with the right amount of meat and condiments, never skimping on an item. The baked potatoes are NUCLEAR (it's pronounced NUCLEAR)! I always have a hard time finishing one and take the rest for a snack later in the day. The pasta dishes are always good and come four different ways. They give you a good amount but it's not enough to put you in a food coma. Aaaand they have a salad bar that's under $7! The cleanest one I've been to and they have hummus, pudding and cornbread on it! If you get it to go, they give you a very large container to put as much as you want in plus two smaller containers to use for dressing, apples, pudding, etc.

    P.S. - FREE SOFT-SERVE ICE CREAM!!!!

If that or the other items I've mentioned doesn't get you going, please stay away from the South Loop and give us JD's enthusiasts the extras.

I like Jason's deli and I do go there frequently but I don't exactly love the place. The food here is a healthier non preservative fast food option. My qualm is that sometimes a sandwich will taste fantastic and then the next time it will taste mediocre. The salad bar is great as well as the free ice cream. I definitely will keep coming but like I said I'm not in love.

Decent food but slowww - I have been there over a dozen times and I always seem to end up waiting 10 minutes or more to get a sandwich to go, the last time I was there it took over 15 minutes. I would eat here more often and have gone with four stars if not for all the waiting.

On the plus side the sandwiches are generally good and they have some decent healthy options. As of ambiance - It's a chain, so it feels, well, like a chain for the most part, but a more upscale chain than something like a Subway.

I have actually been to this Jason's Deli on several occasions, but finally got around to writing a review.

I am usually not a fan of delis because I figure that if I want a sandwich, I will make one at home.  There's no need for me to go out and pay a ton of money eating sandwiches all the time.  I prefer hot meals, especially dishes that I cannot cook myself,  if I am going to go to a restaurant.

Well, I was dragged here for lunch by one of my work buddies the first time I went.

I decided to try the California Club sandwich.  It is a crossaint with turkey, avocado, cheese, mayo, lettuce and tomato, and bacon.  I have to admit it was heavenly!!!  Even for a sandwich!!  The creaminess of the mayo and avocado made the sandwich.  Then, throw in some bacon and serve it on a buttery, flaky croissant? DELICIOUS!!!  I am glad she dragged me there.

Also, not only was I pleasantly surprised by how good the sandwich was, but if you do a survey (directions listed on your receipt), then you get a free cookie.  And the cookies are DELICIOUS as well.  What a way to end a meal........with a free cookie!!!

That was my meal of choice for a long time at Jason's, but yesterday I decided to finally try one of their salads.

I was going out for lunch, in search of a salad, and my boss asked me to pick one up for her too.  So, I headed to Jason's Deli.

I ordered the Chef salad, which came with ham, turkey, two kinds of cheeses, hard-boiled eggs, olives, and ranch dressing.  I pretty much inhaled it.  It was very good, and it was a very good sized portion too.  Usually salads don't fill me up as a meal, but since this one had so much yummy goodness a/k/a protein (and fat too) I was satisfied with a salad for a meal.

I got the new chicken club salad for my boss, which had chicken, avocado, tomato, cheese, and bacon, with ranch dressing.  She loved the salad so much she announced it on the speaker system in the office!!

One thing about Jason's Deli is that it gets extremely crowded during the lunch rush.  They keep the line moving pretty well though,  considering the amount of people they have coming through there.

Best corned beef sandwich outside of Manny's ... not only that, Jason's is kind of Panera-ish, but actually leaves you full, and not upset that you spent $10 on a half sandwich and soup.  Not only that, as mentioned, free ice cream ... like the Old Country Buffet (well, OCB's isn't free, but, it is endless ... just like Jason's!).

So I don't go into the city much but at this particular time I went  with some family to taste wedding cakes for my sisters wedding. After we decided to go here and eat for dinner. My sister lives in the city so she knows all the good places. I have to say I was a bit skeptical because I never been here before and I didn't know if I would like anything. It took me a couple of minutes to read over the menu, which they have handy paperback ones available to take. I read over one of those to see what each dish has in it and what I would potentially like.

I ended up getting a chicken wrap on whole wheat pita bread with sauted onions and a cup of broccoli and cheese soup. Once I started to eat OMGoodness! I was in heaven. The soup was the best broccoli and cheese soup I have ever had. It was creamy and had nice big pieces of broccoli in it. The wrap also VERY good. The chicken has a little kick to it which was good. The only down side to that dish is that I used a lot of napkins because of the onions. There was quite a bit of grease dripping in my hands.

Major upsides, they have a great salad bar, FREE ice cream, the food is healthy and fills you up, there is parking (it's in a strip mall, I like that), they deliver, when you order in the store you sit down with a number and they bring the food to you - talk about service!

I loved my experience so much that I googled the nearest Jason's Deli from me. It's not that far but I am out of their delivery range :(

This place has FREE SOFT SERVE LOW-FAT ICE CREAM. Need I say more?

Their sandwiches were good, they had a full salad bar (although I didn't get to try it), and their ice cream tasted like McDonald's soft serve (which is a good thing!). I got the turkey reuben on rye & decided I liked rye bread after eating this sandwich. :)

The only negative about this place was the rude manager (who glared at us when we asked for the lettuce & tomato they forgot to put in my bf's sandwich & then came back with ONE small slice of tomato). And maybe that it was slightly overpriced. But whatever, they had free ice cream.

...did I mention they have free ice cream? :P

I always eye this place when I'm going grocery shopping, but usually when I'm grocery shopping I don't need lunch.  Today, I had a hungry tummy and a hungry boyfriend in tow and we could not wait to eat.  It was a dire emergency.  Jason's Deli to the rescue.

The lack of menu board and the myriad of ordering/pickup stations could indeed be a serious clusterfuck, but the girl behind the counter asked us if we were eating in and if we needed menus, then told us how to navigate.

The chicken panini was delish, and the chicken was flavorful and moist.  The real winner for me was the vegetarian French onion soup, though.  It was amazing, and gives me hope that I can make a veggie French onion to tickle my companion's tastebuds.  He was less enthused about his wrap, but seemed intrigued by the salad bar.  I was eyeing and attempting to steal the gingerbread muffins... not that I would do that... ever...

    Free ice cream=yay.

The one downer is that there were tons of unbussed tables and it was not crowded at all.  Clean it up, guys, or have people bus their own tables.

Jason's Deli is over priced for what they give you, in my opinion. I felt the food was decent, and it was an easy lunch, but it didn't leave my tummy happy.

I had the " Chicken Pot pie," my husband had the " California Club" and it was okay, nothing special. We ate in, and the service took awhile to get our food to the table. We did have our kids with us and we had simple kid meals like mac and cheese and a hotdog. I felt my kids were okay with the meal not particularlly happy but satisfied

Free Ice Cream....and their sandwiches are pretty good too!  Lines are lunch can get pretty long at this location so watch out - especially in the summer - did I mention the FREE ICE CREAM?

The have a pretty nice salad bar, good vegetarian options, paninis, wraps and HUGE stuffed baked potatoes, among other types of yummy sandwiches.  I usually stick with the garden sandwich...which comes with choice of chips, chips or salsa, chips or guacamole or fruit cup.  I love this sandwich - so tasty.  not sure if it's the fresh veggies, the cheese, the guacamole on the sandwich - something about it keeps me coming back - and I have not cheated on this sandwich....and did I mention the FREE ICE CREAM??

Good choice for lunch if you are in the area and are tired of the same old chains.  Prices are probably on par with the Au Bon Pains and Paneras of the world....but they don't offer FREE ICE CREAM!!

Believe it or not, I am a bit of a health freak.

    And here's why I love Jason's Deli.

+ Nutrition information on their menu.
+ No high fructose corn syrup
    + No MSG
    + Whole wheat options
    + Tons of vegetarian options.
    + Parking

I had their Spinach wrap with some steamed vegetables, and it was very good. I will definitely be back!

I've frequented Dominicks' for years and have never thought to stop at Jason's Deli in the adjacent plaza. To me, the imagery that comes to mind is cold cut sandwiches. Bleh!

But au contraire, mon frere, I was pleasantly surprised. It was at the suggestion of another mom at my son's daycare that we take the boys to dinner. I shall add Jason and his Deli to my quick meal repertoire.

It's a pretty spacious, no frills kinda place that is kid-friendly and you all can eat good food for cheap.  Works for me. I had the portabello pasta w/grilled chicken and spinach. Would've sopped up every last bit in the big bowl had I had some bread.

They have a healthy kids menu with more choices than the usual chicken fingers, which was nice. It includes a side item and a drink at a low cost. Let's not forget that there's free icecream--always! I don't know if that was organic too, but it was good stuff!

I am certainly not a calorie counter nor do I use restraint when it comes to food, but I did notice that everything tasted fresh, a lot on the menu is organic and they give you the calorie/fat/sodium serving information.

OK, well Jason's has redeemed itself 2 ways:
    1) They have fixed most of my nit-pick list - except the screaming SALAD BAR SIDE OF CHICKEN.   I still think with all the computers here, they should be able to find a way to process this information without screaming it at me.  Overall though, a much improved experience - even on the off shift.
    2) Catering.  We had a large group of people meet for a catered breakfast the day after my wedding.  The catering staff was fantastic to work with and the food was great.  Jason's remembers all of the little details down to the serving tongs and the plates and the cups for the OJ.  Would definitely recommend!

My girlfriends and I went to Jason's Deli after watching a movie at ICON. Yes, it was girls' night out. Anyhow, I have heard about Jason's Deli, but this was my first experience dining at Jason's. I ordered the half sandwich special. The sandwich... Portabello Wrapini. The soup... Spicy Seafood Gumbo. The chips... potato, not baked (give me a break, I went healthy with my other food choices). The sandwich...Delicious. The soup...Spicy and good. The chips...tasty. The staff and service...superb.

My girlfriends and I laughed and joked, we didn't notice the time. There was one other group still eating also. But the deli was closed. The staff was cleaning and preparing box lunches for a catering order in the morning. They locked the doors, but allowed us to continue to enjoy each other's company. They never said a word. We didn't know they were closed until we started to leave and they unlocked the door for us. One of the employees stated we had work to do and your party was enjoying each other, so we allowed you to stay, no problem.

I have eaten at establishments where if its near closing time the employees have an attitude, they rush you, or lock the door early. It was refreshing to have this experience at Jason's Deli.

    I will definitely return.

Oh, the drink...Cream soda made with cane sugar. Yummmmmm!!!

As much as I dislike chains, I have to say, this is a nice surprise!  Located in my summer go-to area (hello Canal St shopping corridor) Jason's Deli is actually a easy choice with plentiful parking, a large dining room and really fast, efficient and helpful service!

The menu can be a little overwhelming because they essentially offer everything.  Sometimes its better to tell the order taker what you want and have them figure it out for you.  If only I had known about the huge salad bar with pretty much everything I love on it!  That's okay, there were more visits to cover that!

I am a Potato Soup freak and I must say that their version is Yumtastic.  I've tried a few others and was pleasantly surprised.  I like the sammies too and generally go with an oven roasted turkey.  Again, the number of choices is pretty overwhelming so have an idea in your head when you go in or it could be a daunting task.  Do not go to Jason's if you have trouble making decisions.  It will send you over the edge.

Their catering menu is HUGE and they do great boxed lunches and catering trays.  I would have to say its average in the price point but they seemed pretty flexible with customizing my order for a group picnic.

Again, there is no hardworking entrepreneur named Jason with his sleeves all rolled up working overtime and slicing your meat all by his lonesome but its really a decent place for a light lunch on the fly or a delivered luncheon for your work peeps.

No one was in the place but me and one other guy.  I told them my order, I waited and waited and waited.  Then they give half my order to the other guy, he leaves.  Now they can't figure out where my food went??  So I have to wait and wait some more.  All I asked for was a sandwich, and I picked out some sides from the machine!  I'm sorry but the food wasn't that good and I really waited over a half hour for my sandwich to be ready.

Sorry I will never go back.

I've heard really great things about this place. Really great things. I actually debated on writing this due to the fantastic reviews, but I was really disappointed in my experience.

I came here on the recommendation of coworkers that testified to the joy that is a sandwich from Jason's Deli. I gave in to the urge to try them and walked over for lunch last week.

I gave my order to go, paid, and they told me to have a seat and they would bring it to me when it was ready.
I then got on my phone and had a 25 minute conversation with a friend.
    The food never came.

I also failed to mention that there were four other people in the restaurant, three which seemed to be employees, and one lone woman diner.

I went to the front, told them I would now stay here and eat, and the counter girl went to check on my order. She came to my table a couple of minutes later and told me they had lost the ticket. She asked for my receipt, and said they would remake it.

almost ten minutes later she comes back with my order.
The sandwich did look really really good, but it was covered in bacon, which I cannot eat, and had requested be removed.

    Arggghhhhh!!!!!!

I told her I couldn't eat it, and just wanted my money back. She was apologetic and sweet, and even the manager that did my refund was nice, offering me a free trip to the salad bar to take with me. I needed to get back so I declined the offer.

My boss tells me I must be the only person on earth to have had a bad experience there.

I will go back and try them again...eventually. Right now I am holding a grudge.

I haven't been to a Jason's Deli in years before this visit. They have totally rehauled their appearance and it look very similar to a cozy Panera like feel.

There menu is extensive and seems to be full of flavor, toppings and various breads. I opted for the Sante Fe Chicken sandwich which was southwest seasoned chicken topped with bacon, cheese and guacamole. The giant picture helped sell me on the idea too! It was just as good as it looked.

I am interested to try many other things on the menu and had a hard time picking between them. Sandwiches range in price from $6.99-$8.29 and come with chips and a pickle spear.

All meals come with FREE ICE CREAM so make your way on over to the machine after your food and eat up dessert!

I love the concept behind this restaurant.  Jason's aims to provide healthier options for fast, convenient dining, at the same time being eco-friendly about it.

    What do they have?
-Sandwiches that are CHEAP (there's a $4.85 menu that includes a sandwich and chips (regular, baked, or chips w/ salsa) and DELICIOUS.  A bargain.
-Super friendly service.  Yeah, you don't even have to clean up after yourself.  Panera, are you listening??
-A variety of menu options.. sandwiches, soups, pasta, wraps, pastries, etc.  You will not go hungry here.
-Eco-friendly toilets.  Flush up for liquid waste, down for solid waste.  They don't mess.
    -Plenty of seating.
-FREE ICE CREAM.  Vanilla, chocolate... hey, even the SWIRL is free.

    What don't they have?
    -MSG
    -Trans Fat
    -High fructose corn syrup
