A pretty good Asian Chicken Salad & ice cold beer.
Not sure if you realize it but Florida is FREAK'N HOT! The cold beer fixed my pain. Great use of toasted Sesame seeds on the rolls, a very nice accent.

A cool laid back place. I'd go back...

Jasmine is definitely not authentic Japanese, but nonetheless I'd say the food there is passable to tasty. (And yes, I have had sushi in Japan.)

The vibe, though, is another story. It's awesome! Like Coty S. mentioned in her review, "When you look out the front window, you almost feel like you are in a real city." Right on the nose. Reminds me of San Francisco a bit.

It's worth a visit.

This is my favorite sushi restaurant in Tallahassee. It's located right downtown which is great for people who miss feeling like they live in a city.   It has a casual but cute ambiance. It's a pretty small cafe suited more for an intimate & casual dining experience. The servers are usually friendly and competent.  The few times I've been there, they've played fun indie music.  Lunch is delicious an affordable.
The Seminole role is my favorite but everything I've here is delicious and presented well.

Super cute place in a cool part of town!  Hard to park sometimes.  When you look out the front window, you almost feel like you are in a real city.  Relaxed atmosphere and they have a private room to reserve for large parties in the back.
I remember that they used to have a sushi buffet on Sundays, but I do not know if that is still going on.  It was slammed, since the place is already small.
The sushi is of good quality and fresh tasting, all of the chefs are really nice.
Their ginger salad dressing is the best I have ever had, and they have a hot crab dip that is really great too.  I used to order containers of their salad dressing to take home, you can put it on anything and make it taste great.  They also have some really great desserts.
We stopped going here when I discovered Osaka.

When I visit, I always try to hit this place.  Coming from California, I am a bit spoiled when it comes to sushi.  This place is pretty good, especially since it isn't anywhere NEAR an open body of water.   Recommended.

Relaxed atmosphere.

Located downtown.  We happened to go for lunch during the week so most of the customers looked like they worked in offices, some were reading documents while they ate their lunch.

Friendly, quick service.  Even though the place was quite full, we didn't have to wait long and the service was good.

You can go to their website to see their menu.  There is an assortment of sushi but also things like pizza.  Their sushi (which is what I tried) is reasonably priced.  I like sushi and thought there was a good variety and it tastes very good.

There are some good sushi places in Tallahassee, but few can beat Jasmine's prices. The 2 rolls for $7.50 (lunch) or $10 (dinner) plus soup or salad (dinner special includes both) is a steal. My boyfriend isn't into sushi, so he has the Shrimp Pesto Pasta dish, which he loves. We also really like the crab cakes there. Service is usually pretty good, unless I'm alone. For some reason, the service isn't as great when it's just me. They also have sandwiches, salads, stir fry dishes, etc for those who are not inclined to eat sushi. I love the chicken and brie sandwich myself. The coffee is also good.

Decent sushi at Jasmine for a very decent price. Lunch special of 2 rolls plus soup or salad for $10 can't be beat. The sushi itself had gone down in quality around the new year but has improved in recent months. I think they owner had opened up a new place but has come back recently. The non sushi food always looks pretty good but I've never tried it. Good sake and beer selection.

My first sushi experience. Obviously it was good, because I've been enjoying sushi ever since.

My friends and I, all new to Tally, have been looking for a good place to get sushi here and noticed Jasmine Cafe.  We finally tried it the other day, and while the sushi was decent (and decently priced), I must say that we'll keep looking for a better place.  The roll selection was a bit conservative, and the rice was overly vinegary, not very sticky, and a little hard.  Service was good though our waitress seemed not to know where she was, and the atmosphere is totally intimate and chill. The two of my party who didn't get sushi enjoyed their pasta dishes, and there was an eclectic but thoughtful mix of other things on the menu I might like to try.  But I wouldn't go back here for sushi... unless I find this really is the best Tally has to offer.

Wow this place was great.  Great prices, good service and really good food.  This was the first time I'd ever had sushi but i am a pretty adventurous eater so I had the dragon (spicy tuna and eel) and it was great.  Also is very modestly priced from what the people I was eating with said.  This was a great first time experience and I highly suggest this place especially for a lunch.
