I'd seen some reviews of this place on a website that was less trustworthy than Yelp and I suppose they must have been written by someone with a vested interest in the business? I can't think of any other explanation except that, since I can't believe anyone would think of this place as a "good deal". You're better off making the drive to somewhere else. The non-sushi fare was mediocre, at best. I think I had bbq eel (or my wife did), which is one of the most awesome foods on the planet. It was fine (it's eel w/ eel sauce, so of course it's good) but came with no veggies, nothing but eel and a HUGE portion of rice. The other meal we ordered was so forgettable that I forgot what it was. Prices were also way too high for the quality.
Actual Rating: 0.5 - My house is down the street from this restaurant and when I'm absolutely desperate for Sushi (and too lazy to drive), I'll go here to dine. Each time I'm there it reinforces how much going to this place is a mistake. The only thing reasonable is the friendly service. The food is mediocre yet pricey for what it's worth, and you're better off driving 15-25 minutes for better food.
Also, I ordered some salmon from this restaurant once and I got food poisoning. I developed a staph infection within a few hours, and it lasted a month. It was the only food I ate all day, so I'm sure it was the salmon that was contaminated. Take Caution!
Yikes! How did I end up spending over $40 on 2 people at a strip-mall Sushi place? The meal began with veggie tempura. Eh...it was ok. The huge brocolli piece still had raw tempura batter in the middle of it. The sushi rolls were yummy - hard to go wrong with that. However, stay away from the Hurricame Roll. Something....it's just.....trust me on that. Eel, spicy tuna, Philly rolls were all delicious. My friend had the seaweed salad and said it was yummy. Service is sub-par as we had to wait over 15 minutes for our bill. BUT...having said that...the places for sushi in this area are slim pickins so I have no doubt I'll be back.
