These guys are great- always so very helpful, courteous and proficient (especially Anita!).... as well as that, their rates are excellent too! I have all my insurances with them and would recommend them to anyone.

I am a fan of Janet's office. I have all kind of insurance with State Farm and Janet & her team take care of my policies.
They are super friendly and honest people. If you are looking for insurance, I highly recommend this agency... you won't regret !
I have been a loyal customer of Janet Lin's office since 2001, when my mom passed away and as a poor college student, I opted to get some renter's insurance to protect our small amount of assets. Good thing we did, because we suffered a major flood that totally destroyed our apartment and every last possession. This office was wonderful, as was our representative who met us at the scene to survey the damage. He really worked with us (like giving us a check up front instead of a reimbursement when we explained how broke we were).
We were put up in a hotel until we found a new apartment, and they didn't balk when we explained that my designer husband needed to have internet access. All our belongings were replaced (of course, not everything could be and that was the sad part, but state farm made everything so much better it wasn't nearly as bad as it could have been).
Our agent forever has been Anita Scribner. She is awesome. She remembers me when I call and she's seen us from being 1st year college kids through master's degrees, moves, and a marriage! They'll give you a great deal on renter's insurance, something everyone should have!
For car insurance I was very happy with their services but it just got to be too expensive (they assured me the rates would go down once I was married, and they probably would have) but I found it cheaper to go with Geico for that time. They were very honest that at that point in time they would not compete with the rate, and they didn't show hard feelings when i went with someone else. I was bummed to have to leave state farm, i ended up selling my car and just going without.
I still kept my renter's and personal articles policy (insure things like laptops, pdas, engagement rings, etc) and I've always gotten stellar service from anita on everything i've done with state farm. Totally recommend them!
I have been with State Farm for over 15 years but am new to San Francisco. A friend recommended me to Janet's office and I made an appointment. Then I went out of town and missed it - oops. Alex called me to reschedule (which is great for someone like me who isn't the best at organization) (this kind of customer service is soso rare and wonderful) Sooo... This office is the best! Friendly, personable, good listeners, patient... you name it! They will do anything for you. Alex, my rep, even recommended traveler's insurance (which I had never thought of but I travel a lot); now everything I have is covered! Go there!

Janet Lin is really awesome! I know her through a good friend and when I told her I want to set up a retirement account she drove all the way to meet with me and patiently listened to my needs. She offers honest and helpful advice and takes care of all the details. I've been her customer for about 3 years now and I'm very happy with the service. I don't think I can find better service anywhere else. =)
Janet and her staff are GREAT! They took care of all my needs with grace and ease. No question too trivial. No task to huge for this bunch. I can't bestow enough compliments or congratulatory statements on this super group of people that would ever show my sincere feeling for them.

state farm (and particularly this office) has been great!
my partner and i signed up for renter's insurance for the first time, and moving here from chicago, wrestled with the idea of earthquake insurance also for the first time. alex from this office was amazing in our navigation through this experience: calling us, giving us very honest and genuine answers, and entertaining our many questions and concerns not only what both insurances would mean, but also their financial demands (which is often times, equally concerning!).
after alex spent a good hour or so with us (not only quelling our concerns but also showing us the yelp sites for all of his favorite restaurants in this new city) he showed us around the office, introduced us to the other staff that work there, and offered us our choice in gift cards for jamba juice and peet's coffee as a perk.
oh. and also they have chocolate mints in the front while you're (briefly) waiting, and a greasy chinese restaurant downstairs. yum!

I've been a loyal customer for years now! Janet helped me get started on my retirement savings and investing for my children's college education. She helped me finance my car and secure a home equity line of credit for my house. Oh, yeah, and they sell insurance too!
The people are always very friendly and very patient with my questions!
I've never had such friendly and helpful service from an insurance person before!

Every one at Janet's office is so friendly and helpful. You feel like you're getting good advice from an intelligent friend - not getting sold by a sales person. Plus they can take care of my needs over the phone or the internet - which is so helpful because I don't live in SF anymore. I prefer in person, but they give me confidence that my needs are still going to be taken care even though I'm not there! I think everyone should give Janet's office a call for a first or second opinion.
We have all our coverages (cars, scooters, house, general) with Janet Lin's office and couldn't be more pleased. They have guided us through a variety of questions and claims and we have always gotten excellent service from both Janet Lin's office and the State Farm claims adjuster people. Whether it is a stolen scooter or a backed up sewer, they are always on top of their game and ready to help and answer questions.
Plus, the rates are great and more coverages you have with them, the better the rates get! What else do you need?
A REVELATION! I have not had a car in 7 years and Alex was able to very clearly lay out my options. Coming into the whole car insurance situation I expected to have to fight to only get screwed over a little bit instead of a lot. Believe it or not I would have been satisfied with the accomplishment of only getting screwed over a little however, I walked out of the office feeling like I really was going to be taken care of and I had found the best service for my situation and that if in the future I wanted make any changes or additions it would be straightforward. Afterwords, Alex made sure I met the entire office of a small handful of people (seriously) so that I knew who would be taking care of me if I need any help. I was going to say that this office sets the standard but that would actually be a disservice to their high quality of service. and now I will end this rave before I start to really go wild and lose all credibility. An unexpected and pleasant (bizarre) experience. Thank you very much.
Janet and her staff are really great to work with - and the rates for insurance are also really good! I can't wait to get some of their financial products here soon and life and health as well as the car and home I have now!
Janet Lin's office is efficient, friendly, and very knowledgeable. We have four vehicles insured through State Farm, as well as our house - and through many changes and additions we've never had even the slightest problem.
Even better, they take the time to get to know you there - when we call the staffers are friendly and remember our policies &c off the top of their head - a far cry from anything I'd experienced with an insurance agent before hand.
So, hurray for Janet Lin and State Farm!
This office is great. Plenty of parking nearby, and the staff are friendly. I've begun to notice that each of the staff members have their own client fanbase.
They are very thorough in explaining coverages, so even if you call in for a quick over the phone quote, you'll hang up knowing why you bought what you bought.
Customer service is top notch, as calls are promptly returned within the same day.
I'd definitely give them all my insurance needs.
