I ****LOVE**** HER!!! I was still very new to bikini waxing (my very first experience was awful and scared me from going again for a while) but decided to get myself a Groupon because I really, really wanted a bikini wax still.
Jane is so wonderful. I could talk to her for hours about the Game of Thrones and other things but I only get to spend like 20 minutes with her, haha. Those minutes go by so quickly, too. She makes the experience quick, painless and fun. She also made that Groupon go a long way; it almost felt like I was getting a free treatment. I am completely and utterly in love with her and I have no plans to see anyone else for my waxing needs.
I especially recommend her for anyone who's getting their first bikini wax. -

No one takes care of your skin quite like Jane. I leave my appointments with her feeling truly refreshed and cared for -- body and spirit. I started seeing her before my wedding a few years ago and I look forward to seeing her still. It's always a special treat and my skin positively glows.

Jane Cowan is definitely the very very best ! Going to see her is so fun and I always laugh my ass off the whole time-so i dont even notice my hair getting ripped out. I always leave with a smile on my face -She makes you feel really good about yourself no matter how you felt going in.
Forget diamonds-Jane is a girls best friend! -

Love love love Jane. She is was wonderful; I never felt uncomfortable, she wasted no time and got right through the worst part with no problems. She uses a hard wax, so no muslin, which is actually much better on the skin and the ol' nerve endings. She clearly loves working with people, and is a complete sweetheart!
The best part - nary an ingrown hair. I mean not one. That's never happened before!
Oh, and you can book online, which is quick and easy. Go! Now! Go see Jane! -

I have been seeing Jane for over a year. She takes care of your "business" ...down there..like no other! Yes, ladies we all know waxing is NO fun, but somehow Jane makes this visit, quick, funny, and not embarrassing... well at least there was that one time, I actually barked during the process, by no fault of Jane... It just came out!!!.... If you want efficient landscaping or all over removal she is the best!

I see Jane every 4 weeks for a facial. I have been going to spas and medispas for years, and have never had such a delightful experience. I leave every appointment with Jane looking young and vibrant. The proof is how I get carded so often...despite being 41 years old! I credit Jane. She is totally caring, detailed and a very talented esthetician.

Best waxer in PDX., hands down. I have been a client of Jane's for well over a year and can say without reservation that her waxing skills are superb. Her personality is delightful. Her treatment room is relaxing and she does the best damn brows in town.
If you pay attention to her instructions for aftercare and rebook according to schedule, you will find yourself one smooth operator in just a couple of months. After some bad experiences with other waxers, it took me a while to realize I could trust Jane. She really does put her clients first, unlike some salons who are merely working their mark-up and profit margins. She's the BEST. -

My bikini line and I have seen our share of waxers and we both think that Jane Cowan is the best! She is the kind of person you want to take out for a drink after your brazilian.
She is a bit of a perfectionist, and that is the best quality in an esthetician. She gives her undivided attention and makes sure every stray hair is gone. Her love of what she does shines through during every visit.

I have been going to Jane for years. She is wonderful and I love her. She gives great wax and her facials are incredible. I go every 4 weeks to get my parts attended to and some microderm . You really should check her out.

I stumbled in here thanks to the Groupon, but also because I'd scoped out the many good reviews already posted on yelp. Never had anything waxed before in my life, but I'm sold now. Virtually painless (brows, stache and armpits!!) super fast, and to top it off, she was somehow able to make having hair ripped off your body, dare I say it, fun.

Jane is da bomb when it comes to removing those pesky little hairs, from head to toe. Having been stuffed into a teensy room at Dosha and paying waaaay too much for a lousy wax job, I decided to try a local girl. I was not disappointed. Jane's studio is relaxing and she is a perfectionist - a good trait in your waxer! She can coax out the most recalcitrant hair, and so fast you'll never know what happened.
I haven't ever had a facial, but judging from her own youthful countenance, she's good at those, too. Great location on N. Mississippi close to Laughing Planet so you can get a post wax burrito or a beer over at Amnesia. -

Jane is my esthetician. I am an esthetician myself and think she is the Bee's knees! Her prices are reasonable and she is very skilled and attentive at what she does. Jane is also a total sweetie-pie and has a big heart. I love that she does a parrafin hand dip along with her facials and really talks to you about what's going on with your skin. Her space is also very comfortable and completley adorable!

Jane is my favorite waxer ever--those hairs don't stand a chance! Extremely thorough, and her warm personality makes such a personal service really comforting. Really, though, she gets *every* hair.
For a real treat, her facials will transport you. Love her products. That space is a relaxing little spa haven that I clearly wish I could get away to more often... -

jane is a dream!
not only does she eradicate the forest on my neither regions with skill and speed, but she also provides witty banter the whole while. jane is also super great with all body sizes, if she needs your help with holding something extra she'll ask for it and you won't feel uncomfortable because she's just not a jerk like that.
jane is totally professional and also totally knows how to play her audience. for instance she knows that i am a down ass bitch and so while she's a rippin' we are dishing about things y'all don't even want to hear about.
i love love love jane and you will too. summer's here and that bush won't hack itself, baby. for a good time call jane cowen. -

jane is amazing. i'll never go to anyone else.
first of all, let me just begin by telling you what i don't like about jane, NOTHING.
she's organized and efficient. i set up my appointment by email and she confirmed by email the day before. her studio is beautiful, immaculate and smells great. she's a friendly, sensible and down to earth person.
and now for the waxing report:
she gets out the heavy waxing artillery to make sure every tiny hair is gone, Gone, GONE. she goes the extra mile to make sure you have the shape you like and.....all that other stuff.
i think you should go to her. -

There is not a lot say, I simply love this woman. She is just really down to earth, smart, funny, thoughtful, the real deal. Its a bit uncomfortable getting established with a new waxer, but I was immediately at ease with her. For some reason her waxing was far less painful than I had in the past, I mean I took two advil and had a glass of wine before coming, but that is routine for me and I was REALLY surprised how easy it went. Love her.

my right eyebrow has a scar in it from some stitches i needed as a kid. got my brows done by jane about 2 years ago, and though i pointed this out to her, she proceeded to wax the top of the brow off (the hair growing above the scar), leaving my right brow lower than the left one.
IT NEVER GREW BACK. I STILL HAVE UNEVEN BROWS. and it really will never grow back, so unless i color it (which i don't), if you were a doctor you might suspect i'd had a stroke at one point because the right side of my face looks lower than the left. or else that i was giving you the stink-eye. i mean, i might be, i don't know how i feel about you. but i might also just have crooked eyebrows. if you are jane, i am definitely giving you the stink-eye.
aside from the uneven placement of my brows now, when jane waxed them, when she was finished, one brow was a curvy swoop. when i pointed out to her that she forgot to put the arch in on one of them, she said, oh yeah, look at that, let me fix it. she waxed a little arch in, so, i guess that's good that she's concerned with customer satisfaction, but...um...clearly, symmetry is not her main concern. which is too bad. because it's the FACE.
i will say that it was good wax, and relatively painless, which is why she gets 2 stars instead of the 1 i'd give otherwise. because of, you know, the...disfigurement.
i can't see any reason not to go to her for other waxes, but i would run away from her brow services. -

As the sort of person who loathes going to the dentist or hair salon because I know I'm going to have some sort of foofy conversation about this and that when I'd really rather just be reading the latest Entertainment Weekly, I am amazed that I actually look forward to going to see Jane Cowan and having hair yanked out of my face. Although I've only visited twice: once for a much needed brow shaping, and once for a panicked chin wax when Small Child asked me why I didn't just use a razor on my whiskers like Daddo, Jane made the impression of being professional, quick, and a lovely lady who you actually WANT to have a foofy conversation with. Also: Jane has a small waiting area for well-behaved children (most likely children with gaming devices) so it's a relief to not to have to seek out childcare when Momma just needs a little hair yanked out of her face.

I have been going to this lady for 5 years now and I plan on going to her for the next 5 and longer. What I love about Jane is that she makes you feel so comfortable when you are doing somethings that may not be naturally comfortable to do. Her facials are very relaxing and I love that she has her own Microdermabrasion machine! Plus she always finds a way to work me into her schedule even if I wait to last minute.

I just had microdermabrasion and a facial with Jane and it was wonderful. Jane is very thorough and uses upscale organic products. Her studio off of Mississippi is adorable. Very private and clean. I would recommend Jane to anyone. My skin looks amazing after only one visit.

Jane is such a kindred spirit. Wonderful experience (for as far as bikini waxing goes). She makes you feel comfortable, uses hard wax (which makes such a difference down there) and is quick yet thorough. Her prices were extremely reasonable too! AND as if thing couldn't get better, you can make your appointment online. Nothing but good things to say about this establishment and wonderful woman!
