791 Taft AvenueJamie's amazing!! I consider myself very fortunate to be one of her clients. This is not a diet - this is a lifestyle program! One that incorporates good food, healthy living and a balanced life. Not once have I been told to exclude anything from my diet. Amazingly, however, all the bad stuff just goes away and is replaced by nutritious and yummy (!!!!!) foods.
Jamie spends so much time getting to know her clients... She knows my lifestyle habits inside and out and is always looking for ways to help me. Our twice-monthly sessions are rejuvenating and keep me focused on my goals. While I'm not trying to lose weight, I find that I have so much more energy and a healthier body (I haven't had so much as a cold since becoming a client). I highly recommend speaking to Jamie. Before you know it, you and your family will be in the midst of living a healthy life!
I came to Jamie in December of 2007 after realizing that my eating and drinking habits during the year weren't working. We started a six-month trek in January and I couldn't be happier with the results.
Jamie doesn't shove any particular way of eating down your throat (hah! a pun! ahem). She guides you down the path towards healthfulness and constantly gives you new ideas for meals and ways to change your eating habits.
I think one of the best weapons in Jamie's arsenal is that if you ask her about anything food-related, either she has a well researched opinion on it or is happy to research the topic for you and get back to you with the results. Why is too much sodium bad for me? What's really the problem with coffee? Is all organic food really safe? She can drop some really interesting knowledge on an unsuspecting soul.
There are myriad things I've learned in my six-month stint with Jamie, and my eating habits have really benefitted. She has made me become aware of the food and drink I'm putting in my body, and I owe my changed lifestyle to her.
I heard about Jamie from a friend who told me she had great recipes for healthy food. I'm already pretty healthy, and knowledgeable about nutrition, but I have a 3-year old son and wanted to get some really great recipes, and to do more cooking at home.
As it turned out, Jamie is about so much more than just great recipes (though her recipes are good and very healthy).
One of the first things I loved about Jamie's approach is that she focuses on adding healthy foods to your diet, rather than restricting or eliminating. It's a subtle way of getting you to eat better.
I signed up for a 6-month series with her, and found that it isn't just about your food. I've had various things come up in our sessions (ask Jamie about primary food), and no matter what was going on for me, she was always supportive, compassionate, accepting of me, and often a voice of reason and balance.
Finally, after a few months, a miracle happened! I started cooking and eating most of my meals at home--and loving it! I actually prefer my own food over what I might get in a fancy deli or great takeout place. I've been someone who would buy great organic food, and then let it go to waste in my refrigerator because I didn't have time to make anything for myself. Now I love to make things, using all kinds of ingredients.
Working with Jamie has had a huge, positive impact on my life.
Jamie was gracious enough to come out to Pt. Reyes bright and early to give our Team in Training Cycle Team a clinic on nutrition. Her information was interesting, totally understandable, and thorough. She even gave us some great recipes for healthy, 'real food' eating for athletes! We especially appreciated how she not only covered what food you should eat while exercizing, but also how to fuel yourself throughout the week so you are healthy and prepared for your long weekend ride. She then took the time to carefully answer individual questions and address how to replace the manufactured energy food we usually eat on rides with homemade recipes.
I would highly recommend Jamie for any nutrition needs your team or company has. She will do her best to dial in your groups nutrition to maximize their efficiency and will do it with a totally perky smile!
Jaime is awesome and she counsels you how to live your life in a balanced, healthy way. She takes time with her clients to go over everything in their life, not just their diet. But finds out about work, exercise, home life, etc.... All round after working with Jaime for a couple of months you will feel so much better all around. It's amazing! Much much more energy. She teaches you how to use food to energize your body, and how to use food for prevention against illness and pain. She structures a health program that is individualized to you. I love her and really believe that my health is so much better because of her health and life style counseling. Check her out, you will be so happy you did!
