Dr. Gregory (actually I call him Jim) and his whole practice is awesome!!! I have been going to him since he first opened his practice (15 or so years ago?) I once switched dentists for a short while because I thought I should take advantage of the lame dental insurance my work offered. That was a nightmare! And I quickly switched back to Dr. Gregory, and will never leave again.
First of all, Jim is a gentle, friendly, professional, perfectionist, which is exactly what you want in a dentist. He really knows what he's doing, and I always feel completely confident that he will take care of my teeth as if they were his own. He will watch out for the future of your teeth, but would never recommend any work that isn't necessary. He's an artist in matching tooth color, and I am a big perfectionist when it comes to color - I am an artist and I teach a color class at community college.
Everyone that works there is awesome, and you can tell that they love where they work too - they all seem happy and like a big family. All of the hygienists are really gentle and friendly and like to chat with me about what's new. Russ, one of the office staff, has been with Jim for many years, and has that place in ship shape! He and all the office staff are super helpful and friendly.
And, as other people have mentioned, the place is gorgeous! Tastefully designed with, granite counter tops, and a cool fish tank in the waiting room and a beautiful views of the city from every dentist chair room. They play great music - a selection recommendations from all the staff I think, which makes it current and personal, not elevator music. It's all very relaxing, believe it or not.
Gorgeous views (both inside and outside the office windows :-), absolute professionalism and a generally upbeat youthful vibe define both Dr. Gregory's, his office and staff.
Unlike most doctor's waiting areas, where your only options are nasty old dog-eared copies of Good Housekeeping from 1997, Dr. Gregory keeps his shelves well-stocked with the lastest issues of Dwell, Modern Architecture and People, to name a few. And each exam/treatment room has its only flat screen TV so you can zone out to "Legally Blond" while you're getting your mouth poked and prodded.
I don't know too many people who look forward to going to the dentist, so this is about as good as it gets!

This review is not a regular review because I am not a standard dental patient customer. I'm a Dental Implant Treatment Coordinator and Practice Manager for an oral surgery practice here in San Francisco. This job requires me to work closely with dentists. At times, I provide training to dentists on the implant systems that we use. I also have work experience that includes being a dental office manager, and I have a Master's Degree in Business Management. In other words, I can say with confidence evaluating dental offices is something I'm better at than your average reviewer. This is an area of expertise for me. I work with approximately 40 dental offices here in San Francisco, and I find myself constantly comparing these offices to each other. Since the oral surgery practice I work for is quite successful, we have the luxury of picking which dental practices we want to work with as well as turning away referrals from dental offices who we don't want to work with. We make our decisions based upon both our own observations (seeing their actual dental work and observing the quality of their staff) as well as based upon the input from patients (and after many years I can definitely see trends with many dental offices).
Dr. Gregory does not know that I am writing this review. I am writing this review solely because there are very few offices that leave me in awe every time I leave. This office is one of them. I've been to this office several times recently to work with Dr.Gregory on some dental implant cases. I only came to observe and to take intra-oral photographs. In some offices I sit chair-side and assist, but Dr. Gregory recently made even a difficult case look easy. I wish I could video tape him so that I could have a training tool for other lesser experienced dentists to view. Dr. Gregory is not only a competent dentist but he is also a polite and friendly person. His office is beautiful, and the front and back office employees are very professional. When you walk into this office, it's not hard to realize you're in good hands.

I am one of those people who loves going to the dentist. I love the oh-so-clean feeling you get when you leave. This makes the time I spend at Dr. Gregory's even better than it already is.
You step into this unbelievably well decorated, modern office. All the records are electronic (now that Y2K has passed, let's move past the fear of electronic medical records, people), and is done with flat panel touch screens and wireless keyboards. For technophiles, there's nothing better.
Watch a DVD (Sex and the City, anyone?) with noise-cancelling headphones on your own flat panel TV while they work their magic. Walk out feeling like a million bucks...and refreshed.

Love this place! Makes going to the dentist not so horrible :). Friendly staff and very accommodating.
Love this office. The staff is sooooo nice, so young, and so attractive (both looks and personality. Hey...it doesn't hurt!).
Everyone from the hygenist, to the dentists, to the technicians, they're all so gentle, you forgot that you were there to have work done on you.
I highly recommend this dental office.
