If you've ever doubted anything about yourself, your style, you fashion sense....if you've ever needed help getting ready for an event, help packing for a trip...if you've ever felt like you just need to completely update, redo, revitalize your look/you...call Jalyn (pronounced Jay-leen). She is a miracle worker when it comes to image consulting in every aspect of anyone's life. She will come to your house and go thru your closet with you and tell you what needs to go, what can stay, and what needs to be added. She will meet with you and talk about your needs and your hopes and aspirations and she'll do the dirty work for you...she does research, and pre-shops based on what you want and who you are. So that when you go out to shop with her, you're not walking into stores blindly. She has things set aside for you that she has picked out specifically for you. If you don't have time to go shopping, she has relationships with stores and can bring the clothes to you. She's also very good at working with any budget...regardless of how big or how small. Men, women, aspiring professionals...whatver your needs. She's an amazing person to work with and to know. And will make your life so much easier. You never have to be intimidated by a fancy store again. Never have to dred packing for that 10 day vacation in the Bahamas...the wedding coming up...the shower you have to attend...the business conference...whatever it is. She is knowledgable and professional and an amazing resource. She will never judge you or make you feel uncomfortable. I can't imagine not falling in love with her.
Oh...and she's my mom : )

OK, I agree with everything that Meghan said and she is not my mom. But, Jalyn helped my in all the ways that were important to me at the time.I just had a baby (this was three years ago) and needed all new clothes. I was just dumpy and frumpy and the clothes I was wearing were making it worse.I told Jalyn that I only had a certain budget to work with. We still went to higher end stores (per my request) I tried on more clothes in three hours with her, then I could have tried on and picked out myself in say 6 hours.It was kinda intense. I also am a size smaller then I was dressing for. It was about the right cut,and trying on things I would not have picked myself. I got an amazing amount of clothes that day, all within two dollars under budget. Our next adventures will be the perfect dress.HA,if she can do that.....

Well, Alex, Jalyn CAN find the perfect dress--she did for me last month!!
Trying to emerge from the new mom cocoon, I took a serious look in the mirror last fall and realized that the stained t-shirt/baggy jeans look had to go. A friend recommended Jalyn and our at our first appointment, she came over and had me try on literally EVERYTHING in my closet. With humor and grace, she helped me to learn what type of body I had, what looked good on me, why so many of my clothes just didn't work (she said I was dressing like a woman twice my age!) and how to stylishly wear those that did. Then, she took me shopping. It was like a Cinderella fantasy--she'd preselected fabulous clothes for me and they were waiting for me in my own dressing room. We've met up for three shopping trips since. Now, when I walk, I have a new spring in my step! People are constantly asking me if I've lost weight (I haven't, but I dress like I have!), and where did I get that adorable bag/skirt/blouse/shoes...so, I just smile and say, "Oh, it's Jalyn!" She's opened my eyes to the world of fashion and I couldn't recommend her more highly. Oh, and that perfect dress, was just what I've always wanted! -

I am (was, before Jalyn) one of those people with a closet filled with expensive stuff yet who never had anything to wear! I had always fantasized about finding a personal shopper/stylist but it felt like too much of an extravagance. Then I found myself on the verge of starting a new higher-profile job with 20 extra lbs from a new baby and truly absolutely nothing to wear. After doing a lot of research on Yelp and the Golden Gate Mother's Group, I decided to contact Jalyn. Honestly, I was pretty nervous that I would either end up wasting a lot of money that I would have preferred to spend on the clothes instead of "help", or end up looking nothing like myself. Neither of those things happened with Jalyn. Instead, she turned out to be an incredible combination of grace, intelligence, style, humor, kindness and professionalism. Not only did I enjoy every second I spent with her, she helped me build a beautiful, completely functional (yet streamlined) wardrobe that 3 months later (and even as I have lost most of that baby-weight) is still working hard for me. In a nutshell: Jalyn knows her stuff, she's realistic and can work within any budget (she was equally good with bargain and investment pieces), she shops FAST and she truly cares about you. I wish Jalyn was MY mother! (Lucky Meghan). Call her - you won't regret it!

My passion for fashion has been the constant through my various careers as teacher, modern dancer, environmental attorney, and mother of two daughters, now grown. Sewing and shopping for friends and family led to a career as a personal style consultant. My skills from my previous careers, my 40 plus years as an accomplished seamstress and tailor, my artistic eye, and my abiding love of fashion help me analyze and solve image and fashion challenges with creativity and understanding. Through personal shopping, wardrobe and closet consultations, I guide clients in defining and expressing their own unique sense of style.
