Muy bien! I've been there twice so far and the food and service have been excellent! Even when they are slammed the servers keep their cool and your order is taken in a timely manner. I love the pico de gallo they serve with the salsa and chips. This place does not skimp! Other restaurants will charge extra for sour cream and guacamole, Jalisco's will serve it complimentary with most dishes. Another plus! Once you dine here, Azteca and other chains will be a distant memory!
I guess if you were looking for good pure mexican food with margaritas this would be the place to come to. But if you were just looking for pure mexican food, I'll go ahead and send you over to Tacos Trucks all over seattle.(The one on Greenwood, and 145th is AMAZING).
Anyways back on topic. Like people said everything is soooo...hmppphh...how can I say this without sounding so stupid. Everything is sooo MEXICAN. You would think from that its some Americanized commercialized small Azteca, but this restaurant is full of GOODNESS. This restaurant never fails me. Drinks are amazing and service is good. On top of that...Compared to other dine-in mexican restaurants, this place is CHEAP! This is definately one of those restaurants that you would want to take your family to on a friday night.
Coming from California it was imperative that I find a good Mexican
food restaurant. I thought this might be a daunting task for 2
reasons:1 THIS IS SEATTLE 2.THIS IS SEATTLE, and 5 months into
my move not so good luck.
Until that first day at Jaliscos and that awesome tortilla soup and Cadillac margarita.....SO TASTY......
But the best part about this place is that is directly next door. YES GOOD CHOICE ON A CONDO!!!!!!!

First impression: standard, run-of-the-mill Americanized Mexican.
After dinner: IMPRESSED.
I really like their meat. The way they cook it, the spices and the flavor melding. It's right near our house and I was so excited that we found a good Mexican restaurant within 5 minutes.
The waiter made us feel right at home. I will definitely be trying their bar. I will be back for sure.

Good Tex-Mex and very generous with their cocktails.
For the money not only will you get good food, but you will also receive a healthy potion. Everyone is very friendly and courteous.
Its great for families and parties. It also sweet that its walking distance for me.

Good Margaritas, plenty of food and a nice atmosphere. If you want to get stuffed and/or drunk this is the place to go in Lake City.

I enjoy going to Jalisco for several reasons:
1) It's within walking distance of my apartment.
2) Decent prices for very large portions.
3) Awesome margaritas.
4) The owner always recognizes me and my boyfriend and greets us like family.
It's a great place to go for better-than-okay Mexican food. The atmosphere can get a little distracting and loud when they're busy, but it's usually fine.

Decent food and stiff drinks. This is a good place to go if you're in the area, craving meat in a tortilla, and/or need to take the edge off with a margarita (or two).
Bonus points: my friend was wearing a shirt that said "Buristas go home" and the waitress stopped to inform us that "burista" means cheerleader in Spanish. We then chatted about annoying cheerleaders, tourists (the shirt *used* to say "Turistas go home" - the waitress thought that was even more funny, thank god), and illegal immigration (the waitress was very vocal about these "lazy Mexicans," hence her amusement at the t-shirt).
The food gets three stars, the drinks make it three-and-a-half, and "Turistas go home" makes it four. Good luck with those t-shirts, Jalisco waitress!

The first time I went here I ended up vomiting. In hopes it was just a bad night I tried again with the same results.

For Mexican food, Jalisco's is a pretty run of the mill place. They have the usual fare for a sit down Mexican Restaurant such as enchiladas, fajitas, burritos and the like. The quality of the food is good, the price is reasonable, the service is generally prompt and they are quick about refilling your free chip bucket and salsas. Overall, I doubt that anyone would say that Jalisco's is their absolute favorite place for Mexican food, but it's reliably decent.

the food's okay. certainly not going to be the most authentic or amazing experience, but it's alright. nothing bad per se, just alright.
it is, however, a fine establishment in which to get rather drunk, which is the highlight of every Jalisco's i've ever been to anyways.
also beware that most people seem not to know this place exists (though there's always plenty of people there!), so make sure you give address-specific directions if meeting people there who are coming from outside the LC.

I've been to this restaurant several times and it's honestly nothing special. It is decent Mexican food and I would certainly eat it again, but don't go in expecting something amazing because you won't find it.
The service is somewhat lacking. The last time I went, my friend and I were seated in a booth around a corner where no other groups were sitting, which made it difficult to flag our waitress down when we needed her. Our waitress seemed very nice, but didn't speak English well at all. While I've studied Spanish for 9 years, I'm still pretty petrified of using my language skills and being tagged as a gringa with an awful accent. So I played dumb and ordered my meal in English. However, this made it a little difficult since I had a question for her about my tostada....and she didn't understand what I was saying at all. I eventually gave up (mostly because she moved on to taking my friends order) and figured it'd be fine. Also, once you receive your food, they often don't check in to see if you need anything else, which is frustrating. Maybe it was because we were in an "out of sight, out of mind" booth around a corner.
Also, the food is rather pricey in my opinion for what you get. Most of the meals topped $10, which I felt was a lot higher than most Mexican places with similar portions and food. That makes the place a bit of a turnoff.
I will most likely go here again, but simply because my friend and I like to meet and have Mexican together. And because there are almost no decent restaurants in Lake City at all...and really, not that many restaurants period.
