I've been a client of this salon for a couple years now. Although I don't visit salons very often, every time I need something done with my hair, I'll always stop by Jagged Edge to make sure I get things done.
The salon is located in a plaza downtown, which means you'll have to park on the street or at a meter. BUT, they will pay for your parking...meaning they will walk to your car with quarters to pay for your meter. The salon's decor and atmosphere is different from other places but it makes you feel exotic. Most of the stylists who work there have a very modern and edgy style, which is great if you're looking for a funky hair color or trendy haircut. I've brought my boyfriend (who recommends Jacob) and little sister here and they were in love with their new hairstyle. I've also gotten hair extensions from a stylist named Danni, who did a great job helping me pamper up for my birthday. They offer other services as well such as hair waxing, eyelash extensions, etc.
The only complains I would have about this salon is it's a little pricey, which is why I didn't give the salon five stars. Some of the stylists will work with you though, depending on what kind of service you want. But since they're very confident and professional at what they do, I can see why they would charge more than other salons. But be careful of which stylist you choose though, I've seen some customers get butchered by their stylist in that salon, most likely because they're stylists fresh out of beauty school . Lucky for me, I've chosen great stylists so far.
Just visiting Salt Lake City for the weekend. I needed a haircut badly, so I googled "hair salon" and found H2O and Jagged Edge. I booked an appointment at H2O for a haircut but when I found not-so-good reviews off google on H2O, I decided to check Jagged Edge. I walked in to Jagged Edge and immediately greeted by the receptionist. She was very friendly and helpful. A stylist named Amanda cut my hair and I can tell you how glad I was that I ended up going to Jagged Edge. Great hair salon and great service. I'm very picky with my hair cut. I live in Los Angeles and I usually pay $40+ for my hair cut at a really nice men salon (Dean Anthony). I'm actually a lot happier with my haircut here than all the other salons I've been to.
Very funky, vibrant salon. Great price. and excellent service. It may not have Xbox, PS3, flatscreen tvs like what Dean Anthony salon has. But I would fly back to SLC again to get my hair cut at Jagged Edge.
