My husband and I chose Jade Studio because they were superb photographers, professional, and reliable. On your wedding day, you don't have much room for flaky vendors. Philippe and Soojin were our photographers and they were very professional: they arrived on-time, they maximized the use of our day until the very last minute of our contract (resulting in over 2,000 photos), and they took all of our requests for specific guest photos.
My only complaint is that Soojin did not get any formal group photos with me and my bridesmaids until the very end of the day (after my dress became wine-stained, I had tossed my lovely bouquet, and the bridesmaids had misplaced their bouquets). Philippe took quite a large number of formal photos of my husband and his groomsmen very early on, all of which we absolutely loved. The wedding day is always hectic and busy, but I just wished Jade Studio spent some time on formal photos with the girls and less on boudoir photos (which was fun, but not very useful for us.) Despite this disappointment, we would still highly recommend Jade Studio to others.
Jade Studio has a lot of experience with fashion photography and that's what distinguishes them from other wedding photographers. While most of their portfolio features good-looking people who are better looking than most models, our wedding photos were not as glamorous, but that was not their fault by any means. Simply, my husband and I were just not hot enough.

You and your team are absolutely amazing! Danny and I had the pleasure of working with you, Albert & Amy. From the first time we met you, we knew we were in the company of best talents. We absolutely loved your work, your style but most importantly your personality. Although Danny and I ran into few challenges during the wedding planning process, we would have to say we have been so fortunate to have you because the bottom line is...we knew we're in good hands.
The pictures are so amazing and your end product was more than I expected. So many beautiful pictures and every picture told a story from beginning to end. Most importantly, Danny and I had so much fun on our wedding day, particularly acting/posing out of our comfort zone.

Philippe, with Jade Production Studios, has a way of communicating to you ,the customer, that from the start you are in good hands. The best part is when you see his work and find they weren't just good hands but great ones.
I've been shot by a few commercial photographers in the past and they were all very good, artistic and hard working.
But once you've experienced good and then go to great you get this feeling of satisfaction and relief.
Like the mechanic you trust with your exotic car, the mentor you find that chalenges you or the even the kids pediatricion that lets you clown around in his office, (in my case).
It went like this,
I needed some updated photgraphs for my acting portflio and resume. I made an apointment with Philippe with Jade Production Studios in San Francisco. He set me up with a fantastic make up artist, Amy Chan, a half hour before our apointment.
Philippe and I had a very strait forward meet and greet and then a great couple of hours together working. I stayed relaxed and easy going, we even clowned around a bit.
I knew when we finished that I just had a fantastc photo session.
When I got home My wife Chris and I downloaded the material, and right away she said, "Oh, you had a fun". Then, half way through the material she said,"Oh wow, these are you, really you." We sat there just shaking our heads.
Finaly I have found the photographer I can feel comfortable going back to when ever I have a need and know I'm getting what I deserve.

My wife and I did our research when looking for a photographer for our wedding. We screened a number of websites and came upon the jade studio website. Not sure what to expect we quickly browsed through a couple of the albums and loved the emotions captured in the photos; the angles were amazing.
Philippe and his crew were a pleasure to work with on our wedding day. They were professional and reliable. Being our first time with a wedding photographer we did not know what to expect. We just wanted to capture our memorable day with a little style. Well, needless to say we got more than what we asked for. Not only did we enjoy working with Philippe, our family and friends liked him as well. Philippe did not waste anytime; he knew exactly how and where we were to be positioned, it was a lot of fun. We did not have to worry about a thing, we felt we were in good hands.
The photos speak for themselves. Just take a look at is huge portfolio. Afterward visit his studio; you will be blown away, you'll see. He also binds his own albums, which is a plus because the last thing you want is a beautiful photo album that will fall apart at the binding in a couple of years.
Of all the decisions we made about our wedding, choosing the right photographer was really important to both me and my husband. We had a tremendous guest list, multiple venues and a 2-day Indian wedding that required a lot of work and partnership from all our vendors. Philippe and his team did a fantastic job capturing all the elements of our BIG-FAT INDIAN wedding! From our engagement session to the actual ceremony, his team covered the intricacies, traditions and important moments beautifully.
As we come up on our 2-year anniversary, we still love looking at our album and video....they totally bring us back to the celebration. The photography and videography were amazing....everyone who sees our album comments on how great the pictures turned out.

Of all the thousands of decisions we made about our destination wedding in the Riviera Maya (Mexico), hiring Jade Studio was the best one by far. Having Jade as our photography team was much more than having an amazing group of talented artists - it really was like having two good friends capturing all the best moments of our special day.
I was blown away the very first time I walked into Jade Studio - their website is a great place start, but once I met everyone in person and saw samples of their work, there was no doubt in my mind that these were the most talented wedding photographers we would encounter. We had our first engagement session in San Francisco and had a fabulous time! Who knew you could have so much fun getting your pictures taken as people gawk?!? They make you feel so comfortable in front of their cameras, and the pictures of course came out better than we could have expected.
Then, we had Jade with us in Mexico for our special day. Every bit of the day was made more special having our two good buddies with us everywhere we went. They were able to capture all the emotions of the day as well as all the "little things" that made our day so special. In addition, they were extremely flexible in working around a difficult wedding venue - strong winds during the ceremony and very dim lighting in the reception site (it was a cave, after all). And the pictures still came out in the perfect artsy-emotional-beautiful blend! I have to say Jade exceeded all my expectations.
A couple days later we had another "engagement" session. The Jade team went above and beyond to capture images of us at our destination resort (a very difficult place to work with - trust me) and to find the perfect deserted white sand beach to take our final set of photos. This alone was a major feat - EVERY beach in the Mayan Riviera is usually cluttered with bikini-clad tourists and beach umbrellas! The photos came out beautifully of course, but what was really amazing was their ability to capture the chemistry between us, while at the same time, making us feel perfectly natural and comfortable.
I feel like I can't even say enough positive things about Jade Studio - every step of the way they have been accommodating, sensitive to our needs, and an absolute pleasure to work with. And their work...no words can do them justice...you just have to see it yourself - I promise you'll be moved by their images. I wish all wedding vendors put as much energy and caring into their work as Jade!

Believe me when I say that I'm not being biased with my opinions about this talented group of artists that capture life in all of its beauty. Of course it was my wedding, an unforgettable day of my life, however in all of the works that I've gotten from Jade they all have a consistent profoundness that uncovers and portrays every moment with depth and emotion. I couldn't ask for anything more to remember the most unreal yet realist time in our lives. Extraordinary.
Planning Stage: First stop was their website. If you really want to feel, not see, what they can bring to your most precious memories, check out their site. It exudes professionalism & a true understanding of what everyone involved in the wedding process wants and delivers above and beyond what you anticipate.
Event Day: Organized artists at their best. I loved it. You feel like you know everyone so well and trust that they will be doing everything possible to make everything be perfect. Their presence highly professional and flawless; Phillipe, Soojin and Frederic's leaders of each team was immaculate in capturing the energy, the mood and the memories with passion but with great ease.
Post Event: All I can say is that every time I pick up the final products, I am in awe of their raw talent and phenomenal skills. As i've been involved in several weddings as MOH, bridesmaids, brothers, sisters... years of seeing all that we have here and there is no group that can perfect artistry, professionalism, and encapsulate every emotion in 20 pages or 30 minutes of film. They are remarkable.

I got married in late October and my husband and I both agree that the best decision we made was to hire Jade Studio Productions. They have an incredible eye to see the angles and lighting that turn ordinary photography into a work of art. Jade captured every special moment and detail of our wedding, and was amazing to look at the proofs and remember those moments. I spend a year and a half planning the little details of my wedding and Jade captured all of them.
During my wedding day, there were times that the chaos and stress of the day caught up with me and I was upset. Philippe was amazing, he made me feel so calm, and comfortable he kept saying that I looked so beautiful and truly made me feel like a superstar. I received countless complements from guests about Jade. I had one guest call Philippe, the secrete agent, acrobat, photographer because everywhere there was a picturesque moment Jade was there. My niece has become engaged within the last few weeks and has not even picked the date yet. After seeing our wedding photography, the one decision she has made was to use Jade for their photographer. I was given the advice to make a list of the shots that you want your photographer to take, but I did not even have to do this. Philippe knew exactly what photos to take.
I know that in ten years I will not remember all of those little details that I worked so hard on. However, I can always look back on the amazing photographs that Jade took and remember those special details. I would recommend everyone use Jade as there photographer!

My husband and I were married in Napa in August 2007. Since we are from Michigan, we were skeptical of hiring venders we didn't know. As soon as I saw the work of Jade Studio, I was utterly surprised and had no idea wedding photos could be so beautiful, and so unique, and utterly timeless. There truly aren't words to describe their work, what Jade Studio does is pure Art. All I can say is nothing they do is "Generic". I knew once I met with Phillipe, that there was no need to look any further.
I am very pleased with the outcome and now all my friends are jealous of how wonderful and beautiful my photos came out. I have over 1300 photos that captivated literally every moment, something I will get to relive my entire life. Thanks Jade Studio for making my wedding day more memorable than I could have ever imagined.

My sister chose this place for her wedding in September. The whole Jade Studios team was great. My sister and I worked with Frederick for hours for her love story video. My sister wanted a music video done with asian cinematography for her love story video. Instead of the typical talking in front of the camera about how the couple met, what they were like before etc, their love story was portrayed more through acting, pictures and light dialogue. I knew how to capture the essence of asian music videos and Frederick knew all the technical stuff. So we gave him a script, showed him some examples and got the ball rolling. One day was just shooting scenes. Frederick was easy to work with and knew what we wanted. After a few weeks of editing, we came back to the studio to look at the video and did some finally editing. Frederick was very open to what we had to say. That was one of the funniest days before the wedding. My sister, me and Frederick were racking our brains on where to cut, where to add, where to polish but we were having fun and laughing.... a lot. In the end, the video was perfect. Everyone at the reception enjoyed it. Plus Frederick contacted the tech people at the hotel to make sure that they knew what they were doing so there would not be any mistakes. Philippe and Soojin were so nice and fun to work with. Im not really one to be in front of the camera but since I was the maid of honor I had no choice. They made me feel comfortable during the numerous picture shoots.
For all the nervous brides, weddings happen once in a lifetime ( or at least they should). If you want to spend your wedding budget wisely go to Jade Studio Productions. When you get your proofs you have tons to look at. Your video is captured like a movie. Jade Studios will surely take the jitters out of finding a reliable photographer/videographer.

He had great idea's and the techniques he used turned out AHHHmazing!
I want him to do personal photos and baby photos and renewal of my vows photos! I wish he can just follow me around making me feel like a SUPERSTAR *as said in my Mary Kathryn Gallagher motion*.
He made this 1000 image proof book that you keep and pick your main shots to be. You can also see on his website if you want Color, Cepia or B & W.

Philippe & his staff were very Nice, personable, professional, and well, they took some pretty amazing shots (i.e. he told the girls to drop our coats and the whole entourage had to run along the beach - hopefuly he captured our screaming that it was freaking cold into Bay Watch shots of bliss excitement & happiness for the B&G). Can't wait to see the finished productions!

Jade has many talented photographers and designers who know their field extremely well. We have seen nothing but amazing work from this company. Their personalities are very welcoming and warm. At no time did we feel pressured to purchase anything we didn't want, they did not rush us and worked well around our schedule. Philippe is very accommodating and shows a great passion and confidence in his work. It is reassuring to know that your money is going to someone who is a professional in every way. The end product has been breathtaking and we anticipate working with Philippe and Jade Studios again.
His eye for beauty and magnificence has been unmatched by the other companies we have seen. My wife and I did a lot of research before choosing Jade because we wanted the best; we found that in Jade. We decided to purchase just about everything they offer because we knew it was worth every penny.
None of the vendors had any problems with Jade. In fact, Philippe, when given a little unwarranted attitude from another vendor, was very professional in addressing the situation calmly and in a matter of one minute while he worked. I was impressed.
Philippe is connected within the wedding industry as far as how to capture a wedding's emotion; helping make it the most wonderful day of the bride and groom's life. We think he deserves far more publicity as being one of the best around, if not the best! He knows exactly what to do when he is working a wedding. He has magnificent ideas and really thinks of so many things that make the day so much more memorable and special!
Jade Studio Productions was and has been on top of everything since our first correspondence. They simply could not have been better. They are all very polite and professional with the customer's best interest always in mind. Their clear, prompt communication was always greatly appreciated and something we could rely on.
The turnaround on our memorabilia was very timely. I believe by the time we came back from our two week honeymoon the pictures had already been waiting for us to view!

His videographer, Frederic, filmed our engagement session. I had talked with him and Philippe about a skit that I had made for the video. It was a Charlie Chaplin style film. I wanted to be picking a flower in the beginning of the film like "she loves me, she loves me not". I had run out of time to buy flowers before we met that day and rushed into a grocery store to buy some poor looking roses. I was pretty upset that they were all I could get at the moment. I kept thinking that this was going to be forever in this movie that we are spending good money on and they are going to bother me every time I see the film. When we arrived a little late, Philippe, Soojin, and Frederic were waiting for us and were graciously forgiving of our tardiness. Frederic presented us with these beautiful flowers that had perfect petals to pick. One bright red flower and one brilliant yellow one. It was so touching that he did that for us. All I could think of was him waking up earlier to buy them and thinking of how amazing they were going to look in the film. I will never forget how perfect that entire day with them was. Thank you so much!!!

Soojin and her assistant David were our photographers. Their shots came out amazing, capturing fantastic angles and special candid moments. They have a great eye for what comes out vividly in photographs. They were also extremely professional. By dressing in all black, they are able to slip in and out of the crowd without being intrusive and we hardly noticed their presence during the wedding. Jade Studio also has an excellent graphic design team that creates the wedding albums and our album really captures the modern, clean feel of our art gallery wedding. To get all of this, be prepared for higher-end pricing, but it was totally worth it.
Ultimately, I do believe that you should be comfortable with the photographers who will shoot one of the most important days of your lives, so do book an appointment to meet Philippe & Soojin at the stylish SOMA studio. They also have an excellent website where you can see samples of their work.

Jade Studio Productions is phenomenal! Philippe & Soojin were our wedding photographers. They had two assistants and Frederick was our videographer and he had an assistant. Everyone was GREAT!
We were married at Bernardus in Carmel Valley... it was incredible. My aunt and uncle both do camera editing and production for Gannet Broadcasting and the NBA - THEY were incredibly impressed with Jade, their equipment and their shot choices. I LOVED them. Jade's professionalism, attention to detail, discretion (have you ever seen photographers take over a wedding? NOT Jade, they COMPLIMENT it!)
I can't tell you how much I LOVED every photo (over 1000!). Each detail of our wedding was captured to perfection. Most of the wedding books recommended that you have to give the photographer 'what shots you want' - not JADE... I had photos of friends and family candidly enjoying our dances together, my walk down the aisle, photos of all my special details - include photos of the artist painting a painting of the wedding scene, and of course, the gorgeous (and VERY creative) photos of my husband, me and our bridesmaids and groomsmen.
Everything I wanted and more - Every photo is almost its own work of art. Philippe took photos of our reflections in a gilded mirror that was onsite. Photos of me looking through a window out in anticipation. My bridesmaids said they felt like they were in an Estee Lauder wedding magzine ad. And... trust me, they make you feel comfortable, calm and well... gorgeous. I truly felt like a supermodel.
It was a wonderful day - they spent all day with us and came all the way down from San Francisco to Carmel Valley completely professional and ready to go, and continues to be wonderful working with Jade Studio Productions.
We got our video back - it is SPECTACULAR and will be a lifetime treasure.

I got married last year and people are still telling me how impressed they were with my photographer. Philippe and his crew at Jade Photography were awesome! Just picture three photographers, all dressed in black, snapping pictures from every angle imaginable. I felt like a celebrity!

My husband Matt & I found Jade Studio through the Kohl Mansion. After looking through a stack of albums that the Kohl provided for photograher vendors, the only one album stood out was from Jade Studio. We decided to call and meet in person. We were very impressed to see the album display. The design is unique, customizable, artsy, and top quality. Each album is unique and customized to the couple's taste & style. We never seen any wedding album or photography studio like Jade's.
Having Jade studio as part of our wedding was the best decision we made. Philippe's team captured all the moments and details of our wedding. We absolutely love all 2500+ pictures. The engagement pictures are crazy sexy, creative, and fun. The candid pictures of our wedding captured wonderful moments that still bring joy and tears
whenever I look at them. We received so many compliments from family & friends how professional Philippe's team was on our wedding day and that our wedding pictures are the best they have seen. From the wedding party to family and friends, they all want Jade's contact.
Worth every dollar
When my wife and I first visited the studio, we discovered that the pricing of the package we wanted was little above our original budget for wedding photography. However, after viewing their works, we really liked their professionalism and decided to revise our budget and hired them.
It turned out to be one of our best decisions of our wedding. Three photographers including Phillipe and Soojin successfully captured beautiful moments that otherwise we could have missed. The photographers had a great sense of lighting and colors. We were very satisfied with the high quality of our wedding photography.
The artists at Jade Studio are the ultimate professionals. There are a lot of great and talented photographers out there. But if you want talent AND professionalism, then hire Jade Studio Productions.
You will notice that their downtown studio is the perfect mix of creativity and professionalism. It has that sleek sense of SOMA style. And their display of sample photo albums speak for themselves.
One thing that attracted me to their work was the fact that they not only take great photos, but that they combine the great photos with phenomenal post-production design. We just received our finished wedding video last week. And for the cover of the video case and DVD label they picked a few photos. They actually picked some of the photos that were not my first choices (from the over 5,000 images that they shot on the wedding day) - but what they did with those photos (the cropping, coloring, etc.) made them look amazing! They were great photos to begin with, but they were even better after the post-production work. I can't wait to see what they do with my most favorite images once I get around to picking our final images for the album!
Philippe is a true professional. He and his crew are the kind of neutral presence that you want to have around on your wedding day. They dress professionally (all black), know how to direct a photo schedule on a tight time line without stressing out the participants, and they bring extra people to ensure that everything is covered. If you are the type of person that would worry about the reliability of your service providers, then Jade Studio will make you feel extremely at ease. I had also interviewed another recommended photographer in our vendor-searching process. Her talent and photos were truly amazing. But she was also a very distracting presence (a very tall and busty woman, who dressed in a way that would make men want to look, which I thought would be a distracting thing to have floating around on my wedding day), and she worked alone, she didn't have a studio, a team or any other kind of support. I kept wondering what would happen if she came down with the flu the day before our wedding. The fact that Jade Studio is a team of professionals who also dressed professionally (!) really put me at ease on my wedding day. I think my husband found it a little distracting that there were so many of them (we had both photo and video done by them on the wedding day so it was a large crew.) But I liked the fact that they had everything covered and from so many angles!
After our first meeting with them I remember thinking that their photography was the kind of work that you would frame and hang over your fireplace. It was not just a record of the event, it was artwork unto itself.
We hired them for both photos and video. If you can afford to do this, I highly recommend it. I think we got a much better video than if we had hired a less expensive team. Thomas Hughes Video Productions seemed to be the default choice for most, and also was recommended by many of our other vendors. After viewing the Thomas Hughes samples, however, it became apparent that they use the same "formula" for every couples video. It is not very personalized, in terms of the story of the wedding day. Jade Studio made a very personalized video that really told OUR story, not just some stock formula story. Thomas Hughes is like that Kmart or Costco of wedding videographers. Hiring Jade Studio for your wedding video is like shopping at Saks Fifth Avenue or Neiman Marcus. The price is a little more, but the quality is worth it! And given that it is your wedding day... the splurge is definitely justified.
I cannot say enough good things about Jade Studio Productions. They have it all covered from every angle: creativity, excellent post-production, and a very professional demeanor. I teach graphic art, design, animation, and other applied arts at a local art college, so I have a very critical eye when it comes to photos and videography. Their work meets all of my expectations as both a consumer and an artistic professional.

I got married two years ago and Soojin from Jade Studios was my photographer and she was the best!! :) The pictures were gorgeous and I really loved their fashion wedding photography style! :) We had the best time with them and I would highly recommend them to everyone! :)
Our album came out great too! We trusted them so much, we let them pick the pictures! haha! Actually... I was just too lazy to go through all the pictures and pick them for the album! :-P

it all started out in the morning when they came over to our place to photograph my friend when she was changing into her wedding gown and preparing before taking off to the chapel...
soojin and albert took pictures of her dress and the accessories before she actually put them on and then snapped photos of her actually getting ready etc...
they even took pictures of our puppy, maki... wonder if i'll ever be able to see those :)
once my friend was ready they went to the chapel and took pictures before the ceremony, during, and after, and then went to the reception location and took even more photos...
my friend must have gotten so many photos taken that day...
i know i will definately contact jade studios if i ever need some professional photos taken. they're professional, super talented and creative, and well worth your money in archiving you special memories in a visually artistic way...
Philippe and Soojin run an amazing studio. They are trained fashion photographers with modern digital equipment.
If you want the best wedding photography and videography, I recommend talking with them. Take a tour of their studio and you'll see. They also produce amazing wedding albums.
We were married this past week and I can't imagine how I would be feeling if we had NOT chosen to work with Philippe and Jade Studio! Although, after we met at the studio and looked at the work they have done - our decision was made! They are head and shoulders over any other studio - there is nothing comprable to their style and quality.
My husband (!) haven't said that word too often yet - had concerns; he worried that the photographers might be intrusive and we were having a very non-traditional teeny tiny wedding with just our immediate family.
However, our experience was so tremendous and Philippe and his staff were warm, making everybody feel comfortable and we did not have to wait long for our pictures - which are so amazing I don't know how we will narrow them down.
This very special day deserves the very best and I am so happy we had Jade Studio preserve these memories for us!
