It has been a while since I have dined here. But what I remember most is that this place turned me on to Vietnamese coffee - strong coffee poured into condensed milk - Yum mm.
We were eating here quite frequently at one time so I am sure the food is good also but I can not remember my favorites.
One Saturday night I had a craving for some water spinach cooked in garlic. Since I live pretty far away from any good Chinese places (usually have to drive to Garland, Richardson, or Plano), I decided to try Jade Garden. I asked if they had water spinach and they did so I ordered. I was so excited!
I got home and tried to eat the stuff. The stems chewy to the point of inedible, and the leaves were less than fresh-looking. I ate a little bit (more rice than the greens themselves) and put in the fridge to put out on trash day. Maybe it was out of season; I don't know. However, at all of my favorite Chinese places, they will tell me if the greens I order are out of season and point me in another direction. Jade Garden? Nope.
When trash day came, my boyfriend ended up putting the water spinach down the garbage disposal before I told him why I didn't eat it. OK, if my teeth can't chew it, neither can the disposal. Sunday night call to the plumber ensued. NOT. CHEAP. An $8 order of inedible water spinach cost me $260.

Long time customer. Hadn't been in a while went back and the food was better than ever the Chinese Water spinach was very very fresh and the cantonesee style wonton soup was awesome. Can't wait to go back
The Dry Beef Chow Fun is great. I asked for no MSG and very little oil and that's what I got. The Sa-Chia beef is really good. I still don't like the eggrolls and wantons, those are gross.

Pretty good Chinese food. Dallas doesn't have many good Chinese restaurants, so to find one that's… Read more »
Ok I have to say I used to love this restaurant. Yummy. But we ate there a few weeks ago and my sister-in-law found a roach in her food. We all just stood up and left. Obviously we won't be going back :(

Great food and good service. Excellent take out food for a quiet evening at home with a good movie. Reasonably priced as well. We recommend this restaurant.
For years, I considered this to be the best Chinese food in Dallas. The fried soft shell crab, salt and pepper squid, chinese broccoli with black mushrooms....just a few of my favorites!!!! Everything I've ever had there has been wonderful! BUT.......a co-worked went there the other day and told me that he got a ROACH in his broccoli beef!!! OH.MY.GOODNESS, NOOOOOOO!!!! Now I'm reading Melissa's review about another roach......HELL NO!!! As much as I loved their food, I'll never be able to get over this! Sorry, Jade Garden :(

My husband has been coming to this place for like 20yrs. We love it! The first time I went I was a bit concerned because of the decor but the food and service is awesome. We like the curry noodles with pork and shrimp, sizzling beef and scallops, softshell crab, orange beef, sizzling chicken, great steamed dumplings... its all good. If you try this place it will be come one of your favorites... We go here like once ever 2 weeks.
