Jack's is my new favorite spot in Barnstable, hands down. There are two things right off the bat that you should know about Jack's: 1. heavy pour 2. honey pizza.
Twilight Zone style, the parking lot is always packed to the brim yet its pretty empty inside. Seat yourself, snag a menu and order. The pizza is awesome, with two different styles (regular vs the thinner sliver), but one thing is fo' sho- show me the honey. Sounds perverse, but its unreal. Cheese pizza, red sauce and all, with honey. Its this generations pb&j.
In its local dive bar glory they do have entertainment in the form of Golden Tee and Terminator 2 arcade games, but shockingly lack the ever so popular Keno. Alcohol selection is adequate, and you're better off ordering wine by color rather than type with all being a generous glass. Regarding food, the pizza shines but the fries and nachos are mehhhh okay. Stick with the pizza or specials.
Jack's is an awesome (pretty much) locals only joint that will change your pizza cravings for-e-ver. Not to be missed while in the midst of Hy-town. -

Excellent dive bar on old Cape Cod, no tourists around this a real bar for locals. Good pizza(for the Cape) and frosty fresh draught. Mostlu blue colar crowd but you'll see a few necktied gents in the joint on occaison.

Went there on a Saturday to watch college football and basically had the whole half of the restaurant opposite of the bar to ourselves. As has been mentioned, the pizza was delicious, but what made it a real joy to kill a few hours at Jack's were the people.
The owner came over a couple times to check on us to make sure we were enjoying ourselves, our waitress was a peach, and other waitresses checked on us as well. But the piece de resistance- they gave us the remote to the two TVs we were watching. Can't beat that! -

Best pizza on Cape. Period . Toppings are big chunks not little slices. Divey bar atmosphere. Linguica and the Veggie pizzas especially. They will even make one for you uncooked in a pan to take home with cooking instructions and ask only to bring their pan back when you're done!

Went here and asked for a cup of ice water when I was parched as could be. Yes, it was late, but the sign in the front was still on. The woman who was tending the bar first said when I walked in ,"No we're done." Then I asked for a glass of ice water because I couldn't breath I was so thirsty, and had been traveling all day and this place was the only one with the light on. When I asked for the ice water she responded, "No we don't have that." Don't have ice water, huh? Thanks alot Jack's....I suggest no one ever darken their door; I know I certainly won't. A little courtesy goes a long way.

My friend told me we were going to eat honey pizza. Initially, I was repulsed, and then my sense of adventure kicked in. (Granted, honey pizza wouldn't seem like a big deal now, but back in high school? It's possible that this excursion is what made me brave about unconventional foods.)
The atmosphere was a bit awkward, as most of the other customers were in their forties, but we persevered for the sake of a honey-drizzled pizza, which was preceded by a cheese-covered nacho plate. I've said this once, and I will probably say it a million times: I am glad I had a crazy metabolism in high school.
Anyway, even if you can't try honey pizza here, try it somehow. I think the pizza was baked with the honey on it, because it was almost crispy. It's kind of like pineapple pizza, except you don't even have to pretend your pizza has a potentially healthy component ('cause there's fruit, right? right?).
(I hope this is the right Jack's. Location seems right, but someone voted good for kids? Maybe I just went on a bad day.)Listed in: My Cape Cod Childhood

If you're into nice gluttonous cheese and toppings (without being greasy) then this is the place for you. I've been to many pizza places around the country and this is absolutely in my top 5 faves. They make pizzas the regular way, but after putting on cheese and toppings, they then put cheese OVER that. They don't even charge for extra cheese, as they say "we put it on anyway!" Ergo, pizza fantastico. Granted, the decor is not much to write home about. You don't dress up for this place. It's an old setting that obviously hasn't been redone since Carter was President, but that's half its charm. Play on an old pinball or Ms. Pac Man machine while waiting, or get a pitcher of beer or soda. Get typical toppings as well as linguica and even try their honey pizza (cheese pizza drizzled with honey, it is AWESOME). Prices are reasonable and you will not walk away hungry. If you're not up for pizza, they also offer appetizers, great kale soup, and some good Italian dishes. They don't always offer it, but if the baked spaghetti with meatballs and cheese is on the specials, GET it. It looks like a big cheesy football and is unbelievable, for $8 you'll have dinner for the next 3 nights!
Pros: Great food! Very affordable given the quality and portions.
Cons: Place is kind of run down, and sometimes the fountain soda isn't mixed right.
