This was a horrible experience. We threw the food away. 2 tablespoons of tuna on stale bread was an $8 sandwich. My garden salad was complete with yellowing broccoli and ranch dressing that was like a paste.
Never again.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Claudia G.Tulare, CA841Apr 23, 2016
This place is so Awesome! Great service and great food! They have coffee, lattes, tea, smoothies, sandwiches, paninis, muffins, potato salad, fruits and veggies, and they have gluten free bread and brownies!!!! I love coming here after hiking Rocky Hill since its good and they're open earlier than anyone else!

It's very sad, the coffee is great and the gals are really sweet that work there. But it's actually more expensive than Starbucks. Also they need to change their price list because every time I go the price changes and they are always different then what the price board reads.
And their kids got chocolates are far too large and usually too hot. And of course expensive. . Won't be frequenting which is sad because I just moved to area and was excited to find a place that made a good latte. Or mocha.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jacob G.Cerritos, CA18171Aug 4, 2017
I'm a paying customer and asked for a water cup.
The old lady refused and stated that she was trying to run a business.
She then tried to sell me an overpriced water bottle.
Terrible experience, never again.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

I have never responded to one of our reviews, but I feel this one is different. This gentleman came into Jack's Café asking for free coffee. He actually asked if he bought one coffee could I give him two for free. When I responded with a polite sorry I can't do that. He started getting upset and said he and his friends were broke and can't I have a heart. Again I said I'm sorry, but no I am a small business and can't afford to be giving away free anything. He left and returned a few minutes later asking the young lady who works for me if he could have three waters. She brought him three bottles of water and told him it would be $3. He got mad and told her you can't even give free water. Again he left and went and sat on the patio. After a few more minutes he ran back in and yelled that he left a bad review on Yelp and hoped I could live with it. Then he went and sat on my patio again. I went out and asked them to leave, the "gentleman" proceeded to dance around while flipping me off and calling me derogatory names. I told them to leave or I would have the police remove them from the property. Finally after telling them twice I would call the police they left. So I write this because they were not paying customers and I didn't refuse them business, I just wasn't offering anything for free.

Oh, this cafe! Third review but that's because each experience is always very different. I called in an order around 5:15 am. I ordered my husband a chorizo burrito, and a chocolate muffin. For myself, I went with the omelet in a bowl, and a lemon/cranberry muffin. The lady who took my phone order was very friendly, and told me that I could pick up my order in 5 mins. I live close by, so I walked there after about 10 mins. Again, great friendly service when picking up as well. I paid using my debit card, and was informed that I would not get a receipt because the register acts up with the first transaction of the day. No biggie...then comes the not so great. I get home to find that my omelet in a bowl, that I was so looking forward to, was a sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich instead. I ate it anyway, and it was good despite the strange appearance of the eggs. My husband was not happy at all with his burrito. Said that it tasted weird, but he's kinda finicky. Luckily our muffins saved the day. Both were very moist, and flavorful.

We were both pretty hungry, so we decided to give the egg sandwich a try. Egg, cheese, sausage, and tomato all on an English muffin. Was pretty damn good this time. Much better than McDonald's. My hubby got the mango smoothie, and he loved it as well. While I'd still be reluctant to eat lunch here again, the drinks and breakfast sandwiches are pretty good... I can't give 5 stars because the lady taking our order didn't ask what kind of cheese we wanted, so we were stuck with american. When I asked about it she politely added pepper jack to mine. Also it's pretty expensive. Almost $5 a piece for tiny sandwich.
Dec 28, 2015Previous reviewSpent $9 on a sandwich, with salad, and cookie. Took one bite of the sandwich and threw it in the trash. I ordered the roast beef with everything. It was more like canned, potted meat. Like cat food consistently. The broccoli salad was severely over dressed in mayo, and inedible as well. The only thing that I was able to enjoy was the cookie. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because the service is decently friendly.

I really miss my Java Island girls, but I'm not at all disappointed with Jacks Cafe! All of the employees have been nice. I've only had one long wait and that was because they're was only one employee. My breve white mochas are always yummy and the price is about the same as any other coffee shop. They also have breakfast burritos and assorted pastries from Hometown Emporium. There are lunch specials for under five dollars too. I'll have to try a sandwich the next time I go!

My go to place Capella's was closed (5 pm)
so I went to Jack's. Ordered a single expresso
taking a few minutes to explain what it was. I ended up getting a coffee with two shots of espresso - the good news although not what I wanted it did taste great- similar to a latte.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dave C.Fresno, CA528430Jul 10, 2016
I gave this place a try as i was headed out of town but did not leave with any food. There were only 2 cars there but the girl working seemed super focused on the two cars and not the walk up counter. I waited for 10 min for her to even acknowledge that she was going to get to me but it didn't happen. As I waited I looked over the menu and was decided on a breakfast burrito. I watched the girl take pre-made burritos from the cold case and put them in the microwave for one of the 2 cars that was there. That was not what I had in mind. I can get that kind of crappy burrito at any gas station. The longer I waited the more I realized karma was doing me a favor because I didn't see anything being prepared here in a way that wasn't just re-warmed. I left hurriedly and stopped somewhere else.

Much cheaper and better than Starbucks. The lady at the window was much nicer than the Java Island workers in the past. I know where I'll get my coffee from now on:) They were awesome and customizing drinks.

Tasty coffee and excellent service! The ladies here are always in a great mood and make time to have a quick chat, which I really appreciate. 5-star customer service!
