Although the atmosphere is nice, don't expect great food or service here. We had a coupon from the Entertainment book. The waitress was giving us a hard time about the coupon for no apparent reason. We had to speak to the manager to redeem the coupon. The food and service here are mediocre. Prices here are more than what I expected (good thing we had the coupon). To sum up Jack Willie's, this place is better known for their atmosphere and drinks, not their food.
Great atmosphere the outdoor dining area right on the water is cool, came here for lunch while traveling on business. I had a light lunch which was seared Ahi tuna with a cole slaw type salad. It was tasty and not to filling, it hit the spot. the people at the giant tiki bar seemed to be enjoying themselves, looks like a great local hang out spot. The service was good even though she had just started. The wildlife was nice to watch with the fish and the birds and the signs said manatee's. Next time I roll into this part of town I will stop here for sure.

This is a fun local bar on old Tampa Bay in Oldsmar. We have our company Christmas party here each year. They have a real tiki bar outside! Out back, I have even seen live alligators sitting on the sea wall! The food here is not to miss. They have a the best crab cake i have eaten. Their blackened shrimp appetizer is very good. The hot wings are also very good. The bar-b-que flank steak is awesome!
The staff is always friendly and quick. Oh yeah, they have good drinks too! Lots of locals with big $$ cars hang out here! Fun to watch that!
For lousy service and even worse food ~ check out Jack Willies Tiki Bar in Oldsmar, FL ~ and if you choose the right food, you might even go home with food poisoning (which I did). This place will definately go down on my list as one of the worst places to dine, even if the atmosphere (near the water) may seem appealing. As a FL resident for many years, I tend to stick to my regular eateries, but on occasion will try different places. I was with a small group on a early Sunday afternoon; we waited 20mins for our drinks and almost an hour for our food. We sat patiently as people that arrived after us were getting their food. The outside bar had a decent crowd, but not many folks there to eat so there was no reason why the food would have taken so long ~ the upscale restaurants even have food out in half the time. To top it off, I was the only one to eat oysters thus the only one to get sick after their meal. The waitress was less than attentive (maybe because she knew she'd be getting an automatic 15% tip..she is those $ are a given with 6+ people).
For the record, I take the time to write reviews for great food and believe its important to give the lousy places equal time.
Tampa Bay has some great places to eat/drink and party...Jack Willies is not one of them. The food, service and overall atmosphere (including its patronage) simply lack class.
Jack Willies has a fun atmosphere, they have the largest Tiki Bar in Tampa Bay. As soon as you get there you will see a lot of people outside enjoying the live music and lots and lots of drinks!!. For those of you who want to sit inside, there are tvs showing sporting events. The food is pretty good, they have a mix of the usual burgers and sandwiches, but also mix it up with some fancier stuff like parmesean encrusted salmon or crab cakes. So there is something for everyone, and definently a good place to go with you buddies.
