I hired Jina to do my bridesmaids' hair, my mom's make-up, and my hair and make-up for my wedding day. Each step of the way, from the initial inquiry, to the trial, to a second trial, to the very day itself, Jina was really sweet, expert, and professional. She was really fun to work with all along the way.
Jina was great taking my relatively inarticulate desires and turning them into beautiful ideas and executing them wonderfully. I loved how she did my bridesmaids' hair and my hair.
Plus, Jina really knows what's good for make-up when it comes to professional photography, and that's a major asset!

Jina was my wedding day hero! It sprinkled on my outdoor photo session & misted on my outdoor wedding, but after all of that (plus hugs, kisses, crying, etc.) my hair and makeup still looked PERFECT at the end of the night. Not only that, but Jina was such a calming presence on that crazy day. She arrived exactly on time and did exactly what she said she would. I can't recommend her highly enough!!

I hired Carol to do wedding day hair for me and my bridesmaids, and the results were fabulous! She was timely, quick, and efficient and we all loved the results. I thought my girls looked beautiful on my big day. Carol is very professional and will work with you to get the exact look that you want for your wedding day. I went clubbing after my wedding with all my out of town friends and my updo still lasted through the night!

This review is LONG over due...almost a year!
That's how long I've been married...almost a year...pretty crazy. Even before I got engaged, I wanted to be a wedding planner...yes, like Jennifer Lopez. But once I got engaged, my mind was going in every direction. I didn't even know where to start. I remember posting something on wedding bee (or one of those wedding sites) and Jina (*waving*...HI JINA!) emailed me and asked if I was looking for a makeup/hair person for the big day. Thank you for saving my life and contacting me! Her emails were so detailed and she was always very professional. The best part of all her emails and conversations were that she made them so personal...she made me feel like we were friends FOREVA! (BFF, haha).
I went to Carol's place for a trial for hair and makeup on the day I was going for my first wedding dress shopping experience. Carol understood how I wanted my hair done and the trial came out fantastic! Jina asked me what colors I wanted and how I wanted the makeup and I told her...I HAVE NO IDEA! She tried a few shades on me and whatever she did, came out FABULOUSTIC! While trying on dresses at the wedding boutique, I found that I wasn't worried about smearing the makeup or having it rub on the dress. That same day, my now husband and I decided to celebrate Valentine's Day a week early so I wouldn't "waste" the hair and makeup...silly, I know. The makeup and hair (in my eyes) were flawless until the minute I got home from dinner. I really didn't want to wipe any of the makeup off or go in the shower.
Throughout the time of the trial and the day of my wedding, Jina was soooo incredibly sweet and encouraging throughout. There wasn't a cloud in the sky on the day of my wedding and Jina and Carol were extremely professional, sweet, funny and UH-MAZIN' to me, my mom and bridesmaids.
You really can't go wrong with either Jina or Carol. They have exceptional talent (they make it look so easy!) and will make you feel as beautiful as you've ever wanted to feel/look.
Jina: the sweetest NYer you'll ever find here with the sweetest voice and warmest hugs. Even though I am somewhat borderline need to be hospitalized (I kid) for my OCD, I couldn't find any flaw in her work. All her brushes are sterilized clean, and she always has your best interest (look) at heart. She also gives useless tips while you're chit chatting with her about skin, hair or makeup. *internet hugging you now* :)
Carol: the most laid back, won't let anything stress her type of attitude gal originally from Cali. Thank you for bringing a "ray of sunshine" on the day of my wedding and making all my girls so beautiful. *blowing sweet kisses* :) -

Carol is great at what she does! I got my hair done only and she was right on point during the trial and the day of my wedding was even better!! I actually found her on yelp!
The only thing I didn't like what that she let me know a week before my wedding that she couldn't do my MOH's hair (who is African American) b/c she didn't have experience with African American hair. That's fine, I appreciate the honesty however, 2 weeks prior, she met my MOH when she went with me to the hair trial! At this point we had made it clear that we were getting our hair done by her. Luckily, we found someone else to do her hair, so crisis averted! phewww!
Besides this, I can't complain. Carol is super personable and sweet. My wedding was on 3/4 and it was super windy but my hair was perfect till the end!! -

Ladies, if you're looking for absolute, on-point, gorgeous professional work with incredible responsiveness and timeliness - look no further. I cannot express how amazing I looked on my wedding day. It truly took my breath away and put my guests in awe. Carol knew exactly how to accentuate the flat features of my very Asian face. She was beyond talented, attentive and supportive. And my hair was amazing as well - it looked very professionally done. Could not be happier.

I searched long and hard for a makeup artist that knew how to apply makeup to an asian face, especially the eyes. I came across JAC Beauty and wrote them a quick email. Jina called me and we started talking. My first impression over the phone was she seem to totally understand my concerns and I felt very comfortable with her.
Before my trial, Jina dolled me up for a few events I had and I absolutely loved what she did. She offered a few ideas and she hit the nail on the head. I got tons of compliments...
For my big day, Jina already knew what I was looking for and wasted no time in transforming me into a princess. Carol worked on my bridesmaids and she was fast and amazing. Everyone looked so good. My husband told me that the moment he saw me I took his breath away and he couldn't stop telling me how beautiful I looked.
I highly recommend Jina and Carol. Both of them are truly amazing and wonderful at what they do. I don't think you can find anyone better!!!! Thank you Jina and Carol for making my big day so memorable!!! -

I recently had a trial run with JAC Beauty for my wedding day hair and makeup. I had shopped around and they offered reasonable rates, and worked with me on coordinating services for my entire bridal party on location as well.
Both Carol and Jina were friendly, down-to-earth, and listened to what I was looking for. For my trial, they helped me narrow down what I really wanted by showing me a few different looks, and were even able to observe how the final look was working for me and how to tweak it for the wedding day (i.e. how the curls were holding and how my hair is heavier than most, therefore needing to adjust bun placement, etc.) They were focused on making sure I liked what I saw, but did give their opinions for my consideration. I never felt pressured by them or discouraged about telling them how I felt about the style. I went to a gathering with friends after the trial, and everyone loved the improved me!
After the trial, they kept up excellent communication. And to my amazement, they have even gone above and beyond! They gave me beauty tips that they used during my trial so that I could do it on my own in the future - which will help me immensely, as I normally don't know much about hair and makeup and plan to do my own for the engagement photos. I was so impressed by this, as any other vendor would have taken this as a chance to charge me for a lesson. But they volunteered it, and I've even begun to follow their blog which has taught me even more! They have even helped me with other aspects of the wedding, like helping me with florist contacts, which I know most other vendors wouldn't have bothered to assist me with!
Obviously, I highly recommend JAC Beauty! They are friendly and professional through and through. I'm so glad I booked their services and I can't wait to work with them on the day of the wedding!!
