Review from Marcy N.
I have a love/hate relationship with Jabu's. I can tell you that I brought my parents who were visiting from Pennsylvania, here for karaoke after a Storm game. They sure knew how to show them a great time. I've never bonded with my Dad and karaoke the way I did that night. Thanks, Jabu's!
The bartenders are nice and super quick.
The place can get very crowded which is just not my preference and thus the hate part of the relationship. I also dislike the bathroom.
I've always enjoyed myself here and always find the other patrons to be super cool.
I come in here all the time after Storm games. -

Lets just get it out of the way, it's a dive bar. Came here for happy hour, burger, fries, beer, $13 nice. I was actually quote surprised at their burger it was a seasoned and flamed broiled delicious patty with fresh tomatoes, lettuce, and onions. I eat my french fries with mayonnaise, and they charged me for that. The bartender/waitress was super nice and attentive to us even though we were in pretentious clothing (we were going to the opera after)
We played a game of pool, it cost $0.75 a game. There is only one cue and now long stick. AND when we had a solid and the 8 ball left on the table the cue ball went down the shoot with the other ones. We had to get going anyways, but that was a tad lameListed in: Burgers, Nom Nom

Neighborhood dive bar. It was empty on my first visit there last week. Friendly service but given that the 2 of us made up 50% of the clientele that Friday night, it should have been good friendly service.
I could see how this place could be fun on a crowded evening, its got a lot of character. I hear they have a great deal on happy hour beer. -

Can't go wrong with Jabu's if you're looking for a low key atmosphere. My friend and I were looking to play some pool, but we stumbled into karaoke night--okay fine. The host of the karaoke was a damn good singer who could definitely rock the mic. The other people, well not too good but entertaining to say the least.
I have been here a handful of times and have always had a decent experience. I've never eaten here though. Stuck with beer last night, but friend had a couple whiskey and cokes and from what I remember they make some good drinks. Place is small but totally worth checking out if you're in the area. -

I rarely give places a 1 star... but unfortunately here we go. It was hot, we headed into Jabu.... seemed like it might be okay, but no. Waited for 15 mins never got any service. The place was filthy and the vibe was just all wrong. So we used their facilities and moved on, ha, restrooms for customers only, take that Jabu!

Disclaimer: I'm a firm believer in boycotts. Not that I try to enlist others in my boycotts, nor do I think these personally mandated economic sanctions do anything to hurt the recipients, but I feel it is one's right as a consumer. A right that needs to be exercised from time to time.
All that said, let me break down my Jabu's Pub experience. I've been there once but I don't remember it. It was after a Sonics game in 2004. I think. It may have been 2005. I don't remember very much from that period. In fact I forgot I'd seen a Sonics game until I heard the story about Jabu's Pub.
Between that time and now I moved far, far away and came back a couple years ago.
My friends and I were driving by it recently and I said I wanted to try it. They looked at me shocked asking me why I wanted to go back after they threw me out. Apparently after the game, at which I vaguely recollect heckling an opposing team's player (Rasheed Wallace perhaps...), we stumbled our way to Jabu's and they refused to serve me due to my expired driver's license. I retrospect they were playing by the book but come on... According to the witnesses (who I trust to be accurate in their recollections) I then began to badmouth the establishment loudly, at which point I was asked to leave, at which point I stomped out, probably spitting on the front door if other similar situations (which I can recall) are of any indication.
I'm not proud of my actions. Whiskey is a hell of a drug. Personal sense of shame not-withstanding, I stand by my boycott.
P.S. I have no idea what the interior of the place looks like, nor it's ambience, nor what kind of drinks they serve at what prices. -

Dig Jabu's.
Too bad I was being such a snatch the first night I went there. Major failure on my part.
This place is definitely my type of place. Laid back, quirky, tons of character and the folks working th bar were friendly and attentive. There are 2 seperate areas-the night we went, they had some beer pong tables set up...the other area was dark and mysterious...like some cool basement club. They had buck hunter which was a plus and a good variety of drinks. This place isn't pretenious and you avoid all the d-bags that typically crawl all over QA.
I'll definitely be back, hopefully in a better mood. -
Review from Sonya L.
Went here with some friends last Saturday night for karaoke! We tried to go to Ozzie's first, but that place is NO GOOD, so we migrated down to Jabu's in hopes of a good time. We definitely found it here!
Jabu's is kind of divided into two areas. There's a small bar area downstairs, with bar stools and a few booths. The lighting is darker in here and it has more of a laid-back feel. Upstairs, was another bar in a large room with lots of tables and chairs, booths, and bar stools.
We ordered our drinks downstairs, but migrated upstairs where the karaoke was happening. It's a great room for karaoke. Plenty of space up front for singing and lots of places to sit.
This is likely the best place I've ever been for karaoke. The crowd was AWESOME! Everyone sang a wide variety of songs from all sorts of genres, and by the end of the night, everyone was loudly singing along to every song that came up. I didn't catch the name of the lady running the karaoke, but she was fantastic. Super friendly and nice and she made sure everyone got to sing in a reasonable amount of time. There was no bias here for regulars, which we appreciated.
I will note that one of my friends was double charged for his drinks. He's in the process of working it out with the bar and is hoping to get it resolved soon.
Anyway, we will definitely be back for karaoke here! It was a ton of fun and I'm looking forward to our next visit.Listed in: Queen Anne businesses!

I stopped in here before the Bon Jovi concert on Saturday night, simply looking for a place with a friendly bartender and a cheap, good beer. Everywhere else was standing room only, and louder than my ears wanted. Jabu's was right on the money. I had an Irish Death, a sweet, chocolaty stout from Ellensberg, and the bartender was as friendly as I could have wished, though he, wisely, didn't chat too much. It was a good experience, though a bit grimey, as dive bars are won't to be, and with this odd keno-like gaming machine staring at me down the bar.
It isn't my favorite place in the LQA area, but it served my purposes nicely, with a smile, and for the right price. -

Jabu's Pub.
I was afraid of this place. I thought it was pronounced, "Jab-You's." I kind of have a difficult time going to places where they stick me with sharp things, including finger nails. I was surprised when fellow Yelpers suggested we head there. Mostly at the pronounciation. Oh. Jab-OO's. Maybe it won't hurt so much after all.
I walked in there with my gal-pal, wearing a green st. patty's day wig and a green st. patty's day hat and my green shoes and her green stockings. Wait. She was wearing the stockings. I was wearing the shoes. Wait. We were also fully clothed otherwise. I've been ordered by the Seattle PD to not walk around naked in my green shoes anymore. I've found it's ok to walk around naked without my green shoes. They also want me to renew my tabs.
We walked in and I felt like I was in a Mannfred Mann's video. "BLINDED BY THE LIGHT! REVVED UP LIKE A DOUCHE..." seriously is that what they say? "ANOTHER RUNNER IN THE NIGHT." Let's go back a second. They seriously say revved up like a douche? Well there was a reason. The lights in this place were at an uncomfortable setting: ON. Like... all of them. I immediately assumed that Jab-You's must have a problem with people sleeping on the job (of getting sloshed) and decided to Jab-YOU in the eye with blinding light. There was a boisterous crowd doing some game on the ping pong table where they were bouncing balls and waiting for someone to land a ball in a cup so they could all drink. LAME. I say you drink WHEN YOU MISS. You get drunk a lot faster that way.
I like getting drunk fast, so I ordered a Bushmill's and drank it regardless of who was dropping their balls in my cup.
Um... yeah I'll just leave that last alone.
There was a really interesting little area through a door and down some steps. Being previously toasted on green beer and ham, Sam I Am walked down the steps and didn't fall. Take that stair gremlins!
And then proceeded to fend of drunken regular from putting his hands on my gal-pal, or any of my other female friends, by taking one for the team and talking with drunken regular about... well... I will respect the poor guy and guard his secrets. But he sucked and I felt sorry for him for his sad bard's tale. I was BLINDED BY THE LIGHT. He was REVVED UP LIKE A DOUCHE. I seriously wish I wasn't such a nice, peace loving guy. I really wanted to bury my elbow in this guy's ear, give him a purple nurple and drag him out by an awesome Will-Wedgie.
In my attempt to ward this guy off from following my gal-pal into the women's bathroom, I wound up not looking and running into another regular and helping her boyfriend get to do a body-shot off her chest. Sorry babe, you're welcome dude! I bought them a drink, but I talked to her later and she was still pissed. Apparently he was too pansy to really get all the whiskey off. Pansy.
Anyway, thanks to my fellow Yelpers for providing what entertainment I could draw out of them while I tried guard my eyes from being BLINDED BY THE LIGHT and fend off REVVED UP DOUCHE. And if anyone could explain what I was doing with the ketchup bottle for half the night, I'd appreciate it. -
Review from Jessie R.
I was confused by Jabu's. Here is why:
1. I couldn't figure out which freaking door to enter. I felt like I was on one of those game shows where you get to pick one of three doors to reveal your prize. "Door 1, you say? Sorry! So sad! This one is locked! Try again..."
2. Once we found the correct entry, as another reviewer mentioned, I was met with a somewhat chaotic environment. Bright lighting and drunk frat boys and their lady friends (can I call them ladies??? That might be a stretch) playing drunken beer pong left me feeling disoriented.
3. After finding a stairwell, we entered a whole new world of cozy pubness that I enjoy. Finally! But the disparity between the dark, warm, cozy lower section and the bright, garish, scary area left me puzzled.
Once I settled in downstairs, I had a nice evening. I'd like to visit here again on a non-drinking holiday and see if the vibe in the larger, brighter room is calmed down at all.
Oh, and I had the chicken wrap thing. It was decent. -

My friend and I were looking for a quick place to grab some food before a movie, and we saw Jabu! The only reason we went in, really, was because the sign out front said "Great food!" Well, we wanted to make sure they weren't false advertising.
Turns out they were absolutely right. Seriously, it was delicious food. It took a while for it to come out, but it was well worth the wait.
Oh, and the bartender! Even with his bandaged hands, he was the most polite and helpful guy in the world.
I don't know. I got major good vibes from this place. -

Went in here a couple of weeks ago. This place is not the same. It saddened me, Jabu's used to be so comfortable and have the best service.
The new food menu is overpriced for what you get. I had the buffalo chicken wrap and it was two smallish chicken tenders with an excessive amount of lettuce. Boring, gross and dry. Next time I'm in the neighborhood I'll go somewhere else.1 Previous Review: Show all »

Stopped in here last Saturday because after a failed attempt at going to Ozzie's (long story) we still wanted to do karaoke and it happened to be karaoke night here. What I was not expecting was the absolutely epic night that followed!
This is a relatively small place with an upper bar where the karaoke was and a smaller, more intimate bar downstairs. I spotted some board games and video games in here too. They do karaoke on Saturdays here and have different things going on the other nights of the week.
The crowd here was great for karaoke. Unpretentious, laid back, and just here to have fun. There was a great variety of picks that spanned every genre, which is quite optimal for me. Well, after a little bit of liquid enthusiasm, my friends and I were good to go! This place wasn't packed at all so all of our songs were selected in a relatively short amount of time. It was awesome when the whole bar got into singing some of the songs!
The staff and bartenders here were very friendly and my friends enjoyed their drinks. Planning on coming back again soon!Listed in: Sing Your Heart Out

Review from Han O.
The new owners treat regulars like crap. For example, we treated the owners to some extra tickets we had and in return they made us feel incredibly awkward when we tried to cash in their promise of free drinks. We actually stopped in for drinks and dinner at least three times before having to straight up ASK for reciprocation on that promise. They were polite enough to thank us for the tickets the first time we stopped in but there was a big ellipses afterward. Were they hoping we would eventually forget because they never brought it up again. On our fourth visit, when the promise was hopefully still fresh, they made us feel like such greedy cunts when we asked them to comp our two measly beers.
Instead of "Oh yeah! Thanks for reminding me. Your piddling $6 tab is on the house. We had a great time, thanks again for the tickets!" we got an awkward "Oh...um. I'm not on bar duty right now. So, er...let me get someone." *whisper whisper whisper* "They want free drinks" *whisper whisper*. And with a grumble, grimace and some gruff version of "it's taken care of" we were waved away. They are masters of making people feel uncomfortable and petty.
They seem to be all business and make no effort to create a friendly or even interesting environment (unless you count abrasively loud music) during the slow weekdays, even if they know you're a regular. Customer service is lacking in a big way and they don't act like they're striving for repeat business, which is why we stopped going.
We visited again one last time with guests and was sorely disappointed. Just because they are packed on the weekend doesn't mean they can be assholes. One of our guests got a long island iced tea that was dark with coke and filled mostly with ice. When we convinced her to go return it, all the bartenders (and an owner) copped attitudes and were jackasses about it after initially ignoring us. I should have "dropped" the drink on their fucking toes.
So what if it the drink was half (more like a third) empty when we brought it back? Since when are drinks served filled to the brim? One of the complaints was that it mostly ice and if you know anything about science, one sip could easily empty out half the liquid if it's mostly ice (Archimedes...look it up fuckers). The owner even knows me and she was such a cunt by treating me like I was trying to pull one over. Seriously, do they not have ANY integrity or customer service skills? We had brought three new people to the place that night. They were displeased with their drink and that was my attempt to make Jabu's NOT seem like a festering black hole of awfulness and give them a chance to show some goddamn pride in their establishment. We *wanted* a reason to continue our patronage but they even fucked that up.
That final visit cemented our hate for this place. Their service is awful (except for Erin, if she still works there), their food is awful and pricey, their drinks are weak, their atmosphere is awkward, and they are straight up awful people with no sense of taking care of their customers even on a basic level. They only have love for money and sucked out every last bit of personality from this place. It's not a place for regulars to hang out and have fun anymore. They just want you to shut up (since they don't really talk to you) and spend money. Having fun just takes away from their profit margin.Listed in: Me no likey

Review from Kiki M.
Sunday night and besides my friend and I there was the bartender and three other people. Empty is just the way I like my bars. There is lighting which is unusual in a Seattle bar. It was refreshing to see everyone's face without shadows and glow.
Jabu looks like a converted basement. Not divey so much as it doesn't really give a damn. It is not here to impress you with fancy drinks and doesn't strive to attract your Ed Hardy wearing bitchasses which gives it many cool points. There is an outside smoking area. One pool table and two video games. One wall is metal and has those big colored alphabet letters and pictures.
When I walked in the bartender was outside getting his smoke on then came in to ask "What sounds good?" I liked his greeting.
Halfway into our second drink and third pool game the lights went out. Almost all of Queen Anne was in the dark but the bartender took it in stride asking if everyone was okay, finding candles to set around, and still serving drinks. What a champ.
I liked Jabu despite the black out mishap. This is the kind of bar I can see myself coming to again. What more can I ask for than little to no costumers and beer? -

I realized that I go here ALL THE TIME (basically once a week for the past year and a half) and it is time to give Jabu's credit where credit is due. Erin's pub quiz night is super-fun, and good for beginners and experts alike (Mondays at 8:30! Come!)
Food is... you know, whatever. Good fried things. PBR is still $7 a pitcher (woo!), the bartenders are all gems (maybe slightly scruffy gems), and sometimes people bring their dogs! Dogs in sweaters! YES! -
Review from Kat F.
Didn't love it, didn't hate it.
Pros: Metal wall with alphabet magnets, lots of space to sit and talk or stand around and make fun of other patrons with your friends. Nice dog hanging out in the back room.
Cons: Poor beer selection, gross bathrooms. (You may remember that I have next to no standards when it comes to bathrooms. If I think it's gross it's got to be pretty disgusting.)
If I were in the neighborhood and my friends wanted to stop here I wouldn't object but I probably wouldn't pick it out on my own. -
Review from Nerick M.
I was able to check out Jabu's Pub in Queen Anne this past Friday night. I guess I didn't really know what to expect since I've never heard about it; just driven by it many times. This place is actually in a great location, not too far from the Seattle Center and along Roy. It gets quite a lot of outside traffic since it's on a main road that happens to be loaded with other late-night restaurants and bars/pubs.
I liked that the place was very laid-back and had some unique things about it. The jukebox was one of those iPad type of touch-screen devices nailed to the wall where you can choose from many tracks, both recent and old. The main room was like a big living room with a couple of booths, a couple of tables, a main bar, and a few big screens hanging from the walls. I guess it's a great place to watch some sports. What I did like about it was the metal wall where the patrons have the freedom to play around with the magnetic words and spell out whatever comes to mind. I also saw a couple of photos up of some of the customers (I'm assuming). A couple members of my party and I decided to hit up the Big Buck Hunter video game, which was actually very entertaining.
After a certain time, the lone pool table was shoved out the way (along with some neighboring tables and chairs) to make room for the DJ table to bust out with some jams. The clientele didn't seem too positively responsive/receptive to the music, but we all went with it.
The service is extremely friendly. There weren't too many servers there but they handled their business well for the limited staff (it wasn't that packed). The food was the regular bar food. I was able to try out their cheddar bites, which are deep fried potato and cheddar cheese balls. They kind of reminded me of cheesy hush puppies with a little zing (they were served with some chipotle mayo).
It was the right amount of noise, crowd and chill-ness. -
Review from Ezra N.

Jabu's was my home turf. The bartenders are really friendly and always quick. The food has it's ups and downs, although now that the kitchen has been open for a while it's usually ups. The jukebox has a couple good discs in it, but you'll hear Sweet Caroline about 10 times a night when it's crowded. Crowds are few and far between though so most weekends you can grab a table or a booth. Fortunately the Seattle Center crowd typically steers clear of this place, so they don't mess up my night too often.
They gots an always occupied pool table and an old tabletop Pac-Man machine. Come by, give it a try and meet the regulars.
------------------------------------------------
So I'm changing my tune a little. This place changed hands since my original review. They turned the lights up, ripped out a bunch of the booths to replace them with high top tables, and they now play effing beer pong on the pool table now. Don't get me wrong beer pong can be fun, but save it for house parties. The whole place just has a cheap frat house feel to it now.
The lower half is still much as it was before: dark, cozy, quiet(er) and friendly.Listed in: The Places I Go Out

At one point in history, this place was a great, comfortable neighborhood hangout. Now, when there is service, it's slow. The drinks aren't as strong as they used to be. And there seem to be more trashed people falling over my table, spilling our drinks and then crashing onto the floor than there used to be.
Decent food though. I like the burgers a lot. -

I went here with some friend for my birthday. I wanted to go do karaoke so we first decided on Ozzie's. that was a mistake, but that's another story! So after wondering what to do, I remembered we passed a place on Roy with a sign that said Karaoke on it. so we went there. The atmosphere was much better than at Ozzie's. And i felt a little more welcomed there. The drinks were good. I don't know exactly how much they were because my friend was buying them for me, but I would assume they were average priced based on how many he bought me.
I am totally going back to this place for some rocking karaoke fun. -

I went to Jabu's on Friday and had a good time. It is very much a neighborhood bar. It's not a two-bit sleazy dive, just a decent place to have a beer and visit with friends. I met several fun people there, and they were all from the neighborhood, so there you go.
Previous reviews are also correct. Emily the bartender has everything on lockdown and does a hell of a job running the place. The big-screen TV has to go, as it just dominates the room it is in. I didn't have any food, but my new-found friends said it wasn't the best, but I saw someone else get a burger, and it looked pretty decent.
I'd go back there, no problem -

I have now visited Jabu's twice and both of my visits were within one week. I am in love with their Blues Burger...crumbled blue cheese on a slab of juicy cow with bacon, lettuce, tomato, and onion. If I could marry a burger, I would marry this burger. It is so yummy, that everyone who likes blue cheese must run to Jabu's to try it. I recommended it to a friend and he fell in love as well.
The bar is dog friendly and I had the pleasure of meeting a dog named Maki on my first visit to Jabu's. She jumped up next to me to sit with my friend and I in our booth (only after being invited) and hung out with us while we sipped our drinks. She is super sweet and smells like Aveda shampoo for dogs. A dog friendly bar with super sweet dogs...how awesome is that? Way to go Jabu's! -

This is bar far my favorite bar in Seattle. I regulary went to Jabus in 2005 before moving to Chicago in the beginning of 2006. While it has lost some of it's charm due to the big screen tv, loss of the dirty couch, and weird graffiti now adorning the bathroom walls, I would still be parking it at one of the comfy booths on Thursdays if I was still in town.
Over the Christmas Holiday I want to Jabus a few times, and the service was still EXCELLENT mainly due to their FABULOUS waitress EMILY. She basically runs the whole place, filling all orders at the bar and even bringing pitchers and drinks to your table once you order them at the bar. Her service doesn't stop there, though. She even pours the beers (never spilling, which for me is an amazing feat) and often stops to chat when it's not busy.
Jabus may be becoming more popular, but it maintains it;s small tavern charm, cheap prices, and great service -- three qualities that will keep me coming back for years.
Oh and I forgot to mention the jukebox -- it has an amazing selection. Anybar with such a large selection of Neil Diamond gets 5 stars from me. -

Went last Thursday night for my friend's birthday and I must say that I love this place. The place was quite slow on this night which made for a good vibe for her birthday party. The drinks were quite stiff and very reasonably priced. I ordered 4 jagerbombs, 1 crown/coke, 3 vodka/tonics and the total came to $43 dollars. There is one video game machine and a pool table in the bar.
The bartender was a little quiet but then again, he was always there when we needed more drinks. Didn't order any foods on this occasion so a friend and I ended up walking to Dicks down the block on Mercer to get a deluxe, fries and shake. It was a good night and I'll be back! -

Being a transplant from the South, this place has earned a special place in my heart... it reminds me of one of my favorite hang outs in Dallas (Lee Harvey's), and they sell Shiner.
Yes, Shiner.
The staff is wonderful, the clientele eclectic, and you never know what you'll hear on the jukebox... perfection.
Oh, and again - especially for you transplants out there - the food is awesome! Basing off of Seattle pricing, it's really not a bad deal for food that's above average "bar fare"... I definitely recommend the onion rings! -

They used to have a "liter mug club" where after drinking a butt load of pints you got to have liter upgrades for the cost of a pint. They stopped this after I was about to put them out of business. They said it was because it was a pain in the ass to manage and people cheated but I know what the real reason was.
Anyway this is a great little pub. Not too much of a dive to run away but not too nice to worry about wearing the right stuff and acting the right way. I guess you can call it comfortable. I loved the caulk board in the bathroom. Don't trust him he lies. -

only complaint is the price of the food. it's probably $2 too expensive for the quality - but i dont really go here for the food. i moved to lower queen anne about three years ago and make it in to jabu's at least one or two times a month now because its so comfortable.
so the real reason i joined yelp today was because i was reading the reviews for Jabu's for fun...and....
i actually think i was there when this Han O. chick was complaining. i remember asking the bartender what was wrong and he said "a drunk girl just wanted me to pour another drink because she said there wasn't enough alcohol." i remember thinking not only was her confrentation the complete opposite of the word "classy" but how old are you if you want your money back or a new drink for a $5 cocktail? that's like demanding to speak to a manager of Taco bell because the ground beef in your taco supreme is overcooked. -

Ducked in out of the rain a few days back, greeted by a lovely sign inviting me to "power hour", draught beers all $1 for an hour. Bueno :)
Small place, complete with cement floors, stained pool table with only one cue that still has a tip, and magnetic walls with alphabet magnets and fridge poetry... love me a good dive bar. I didn't eat any of the food but the beer selection was decent and the other patrons far less obnoxious then in most cases. The owner is nice, the service is good, I had nothing bad to say really - also I can't comment on the quality of mixed drinks as I didn't go that route this time. Only.... turn your football stadium lights down maybe? -

We chose Jabu's because it's close to McCaw hall and we were having dinner before theatre.
The ambience was very run-down and stark for a Pub - concrete floor, little decor, basic seating and tables. It really felt like someone had half completed a renovation and run out of money. I'm not a stickler for fancy decor, but this was really the low end of my tolerance range.
The menu selection was quite good. Lots of choice of appetizers, plus a decent selection of sandwiches, burgers, salads and pasta. Service was prompt and helpful. Prices reasonable.
There were five of us and we had ordered 4 sandwiches, a pasta and a appetizer, and asked for them all to come as soon as they were ready. There was a /very/ long delay for this relatively simple order, taking about 40 minutes to arrive all at once. Even though the place was not very busy and most others seemed not to be having food. The speed of the order was really the major problem we had.
The actuall food was pretty good for pub food; tasty, not greasy and well made. The fries were fresh-cut rather than frozen which is nice. My club sandwich was tasty and not synthetic.
The food was good enough that I would go back, if only to work out if the speed of service was a one-off issue or not. I hope it was, because I liked the food and the selection of restaurants in Lower Queen Anne is less varied than I would like. -

Jabu's is a great place if you just want to relax with friends around a pitcher of beer. Super low-key with great service, pitchers of PBR are as cheap as you can find them, and the jukebox selection is golden. You'll never feel hurried, and if you're into karaoke, Saturday nights are the time to stop by. Not the best place to have a meal, although the snacks are fine-- good hummus plates and tacos. Jabu's is comfort city.

Jabu's wins every star in my book because it hosts Seinfeld Sundays. Drink specials could be better, but the servers are nice enough and they leave you alone.
It's more fun to sit in the front by the windows and people watch. The back looks more like a small town pool hall, but there's definitely enough room and Jabu's is very pet-friendly.
Jabu's also has a great menu. We ordered beers and a hummus plate, which was excellent with two kinds of sauce, fresh veggies and plentiful little triangles of pita. They have a fair amount of vegetarian fare, and lots of healthier items mixed in with their traditional bar food.
It's easy to eat bar food while quaffing a moderately priced drink because they play a healthy mix of our favorite nineties tunes. -

Love me some Jabu's - great for after (or before) Storm games, great drink specials - fun small bar with great personality - also love their karaoke selection!
