Ok, you might think to your self oooh! Good idea to get chicken wings just after consuming a magnum (1.5 liters) of red wine from the Yelp Elite party.
Then again, you might think WTF was I thinking? Eat? Now? Chicken wings?

Yes, this was a disaster waiting to happen. But! I ate them any way and they were oh so good. Now I must preempt this review by stating that I barley remember being in the joint to pick up my order, but I certainly remember scarfing the entire box of mini chicken legs of goodness down when I got home.
I agree with all of the other reviewers on how good these things are, so I really don't have much more to add to this joint except that yes, you should try this place if you are looking for a really good chicken wing.

The flip side of that............is that after attempting to lay down and pass out from all the booze and grub, my little tum tum wasn't having it. Not with all that garbage in me that is! Can you guess what happens next?

BINGO!!!
Mom's home, Party's over! Time to go home. No, no, no! Not through the back door, through the door you came in! (insert disgustingly real vomiting sound effect)

Oh yeah, it all came back up. The strange thing is that I was surprisingly close to the toilet when all this happened so a messy disaster was averted. But then I started wondering why I was so close to the turlet and that's when Laura told me. Ummm yeah, you passed out on the floor between the bathroom and the hall way. Smooth move exlax!

and yeah, I woke up on the floor AGAIN this morning. My head hurts and I need greasy food. Just not chicken wings.
Oh! I'll go back to J.R. Crickets. Just not for a while though.

Look no further if you are in the mood for some real NY style buffalo wings.  This place rocks.  The wings are perfect.  Small, not tons of meat on the bone, crispy and full of flavor.  That's right....buffalo wings are not supposed to be big, fat and chewy.  These guys know buffalo wings like no other...move over Taco Mac and 3 Dollar, you don't compare!

Wings anyone?  JR Crickets has all of the comfort foods we love; chicken fingers, cheese sticks, Buffalo wings, cheese nachos, fries, fries, shrimp, burgers, ribs, onion rings, meatball subs, chicken Philly subs etc.  There are also salads, fruit cups, fries and tons of desserts. Wings are available in a ton of flavors and quantities and ideal for just one or platters for groups.

This place is almost as famous as The Varsity.  The only difference is the food is actually good.  JR Crickets has been around almost as long as I have.  They've expanded to nine restaurants with the main location on Spring Street in town. Menus, pricing, and restaurant information is available at www.jrcrickets.com.

Fried food never tasted so good served in a plastic basket. I like how this place just feels old school. It goes beyond the set up of the place, even down to how you place your order and the menu that seems to have countless varieties of the same fried food options.

The prices are right too. You can get a full meal without breaking more than a ten dollar bill. I've had wings, fried shrimp and chicken fingers and they have all lived up to my expectations.

I only had the chance to try the restaurant because it was within walking distance of where I was working at the time. Since there is no parking and I am not working in that same part of town anymore, I don't know when I'll be back. I refuse to be one of those cars I see blocking traffic on Spring Street with hazard lights blazing, while someone runs inside to get a carry out order.
