Would not recommend doing business with JP. He uses aggressive and demeaning language towards potential clients when he does not get his way. We have never met an agent like this. We hope his disrespectful ways are recognized by other agents and they do not show any of his properties. He is a total disgrace to the real estate profession.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!
We are so happy that we found JP! We had a vacant house to sell in Bloomington, yet we lived in Colorado. JP took care of everything, stayed on top of workers and all work that needed to be done, so we did not have to worry. We knew our house was in good hands. JP is a great negotiator, he got us a great price for our house and he is charming to boot!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Steph K.Dallas, TX254190Mar 26, 2016
JP is professional and hardworking! HIGHLY recommended. He shows up when he says he will, he has an excellent team and does a great job for his clients. I love how he keeps in touch with me regularly and is friendly and conscientious. A true professional!

I have used JP Finley on two different occasions and was highly pleased. He did everything asked of him, helped me find two homes on two different occasions to buy, helped me sell one house (in 3 days!). He did great negotiating with a difficult seller on our second house and got us everything we wanted. I highly recommend him!

Had j.p. Finley list my home and ended up with the worst experience of my life . Their office ended up losing a sale for us because they failed to inform us of important info from buyers.didnt find out buyers backed out until over a month later and then his office never told me- I had to go there and make him call to find out. Ended up losing over 20000 because of his incompetence. Would recommend everyone stay away from that office or you will be truly sorry.Would be less than one star if possible - should be negative -worst experience ever!!

As a service professional, it saddens me to hear this feedback. It is always a difficult situation when the consumer feels their needs were not met. It's truly disappointing that problems arose in this challenging transaction. Much of the information shared above is exaggerated and not factual and fails to mention added distress due to dryvit inspection issues, tax liens, and much more. While most transactions progress to the closing table without any problems, this transaction had issues that went beyond the norm. In the end, there were few avenues left to meet a mutual resolution that left all parties feeling satisfied. The original sale did fall through. The home expired, but my team and I persevered to bring them a buyer even after our contract ended. Ultimately, the seller did sell to our new buyer and it did close. Unlike regular businesses, the real estate industry can't offer a coupon or a free service after the fact to make up for the perceived problem. We can offer consumers the chance to see that J.P. Finley & Company stands behind its reputation with hundreds of customers who have been beyond satisfied with our services and our communication in simple and in complex transactions. We provide the utmost in personal service, taking the time to understand client needs, while sharing our exceptional insight to real estate in the Bloomington/Normal area. While everyone's experience will be different, most experiences have proven J.P. Finley & Company to be an exemplary team to work with, continually exceeding expectations to make real estate easy for everyone. We welcome your inquiries to show you how our services and advice are truly outstanding.

I found a listing on a house I was interested in that JP Finley had. I called to set up an appointment to view the house. A woman named Courtney answered and we set up a day and time to meet. At first she was very friendly and flexible and we were able to agree on a day and time. My parents, fiance, and I went out to the house to view it with Courtney and she wasn't there. We waited 15 minutes and she still never showed. I tried calling her and it went to her voicemail. My fiance called her back a minute later and she answered his call right away. She must have realized that she never showed up and didn't want to talk or deal with me, but when a new number (new client) called she answered right away. Little did she know it was my fiance. She claimed that she had sent another agent over since she lived out of town and he never showed up. I thought that was weird because in all of our previous phone called she would say, "I can do this" or "This time works best for me," so I was under the impression she would be the one to meet me at the house. Even if she did send another agent, she should have called me and said someone else was coming. During the phone call with my fiance she kept saying "This is not how I do my business..." but it apparently is. I believe that she either forgot or simply chose not to show up and didn't tell me and continued to avoid me throughout the whole process. The next day my fiance had a missed call from her (he was at work and couldn't answer). Why wouldn't she have just called me, the one who was interested and set everything up in the first place?? We never got to look at the house, but because of her and this agency I am no longer interested in purchasing anything from them and never intend to do business with them ever again. I will NOT recommend JP Finley to anyone, ever. If I could give a rating less than 1 star, I would.

I have reached out to Tess regarding her request to RENT-TO-OWN and have receive no response. Here was my email to her.
Tess, Thank you for your feedback! I am incredibly sorry for the issues that you experienced in this situation and I am committed to being available for ALL of my clients. While I was not the one that you personally dealt with, I expect my partners to handle everyone the same way I would if it were me. I have spoken with Courtney about this situation and she is incredibly apologetic and wanted to assure me that this was nothing more than a serious miscommunication and misunderstanding on her part. While I have addressed this on my end. I still want to understand more about the situation and would like to buy you a coffee or lunch to discuss it further. My business is based on my reputation and having such a horrible review is not something that I take lightly. I have sold hundreds of homes in our community over the past 10 years and have hundreds of happy clients. Your feedback is so important to me. Please call me directly to set up a time we can meet up. Thank you again. Sincerely, JP
