Pizza here is very good!  Closest to NJ I can get.  Delivery is always fast and the drivers area always so nice, thanking for our business, have a nice day, etc etc...!  Have had delivery probably 15-20 times and only dined in once.  Never once had a bad experience.  The service was very good when we did go.  Ordered a large quantity of pizzas fo my sons b-day party.  The owner was in constant contact with me.  The only downfall is the price, but I will pay a little extra for the taste!

So not NJ but its the best option when in Texas. Pizza tastes great next day and I love the wings.

We used to have one in the Woodlands but it closed, much to my dismay & horror. But every time I would hang out with one of my best friends in high school that lived in Kingwood, we would eat here. Best thin crust pizza ever. The bacon & ground beef is hearty & fresh.

I really have enjoyed each visit. I haven't been living out here very long but the service her is really good. The young man that waits on is has been with the company for years and was able to deal with my 14 yr old daughter and her strange requests with ease.

When I lived in Kingwood we ordered at least once a week and every time I visit I have to go and get my favorite pizza! I even had my mom bring me some when she came up to Austin. Hands down the best pizza I have ever had and never had a complaint.

As I read the other reviews I can only imagine bad reviews from wait time. Since they are very popular and make from scratch you must have patience as sometimes there is a wait

Love this pizza and wish there was something even close to it in Austin!

I love J. Christopher's, it has a very wholesome feeling to the restaurant. The food is pretty good, it's not bad. Certain items you should order rather than other things. The stuffed tortelli is AMAZING as is the alfredo sauce that comes on top of it! If you order anything with their tasty, homemade alfredo sauce, I promise you're in for a delicious treat!

So many people had raved about J. Christopher's that I had to check it out. Unfortunately, I don't share their enthusiasm.

I went for lunch once and found it extremely disappointing. I ordered a personal pizza and it came out looking like a Totino's frozen pizza. The crust was too flaky and thin in my opinion, and it didn't seem to have enough cheese on it. My dining partner ordered a chicken Caesar and he found it pretty bland. He equated it to those salad kits you get from the grocery store.

I decided to give the place a second shot, this time dragging my husband and two-year old along for the ride. My husband ordered this meatball and sausage penne dish and I went with a good ol' chicken parmesan. Both of our meals came out lukewarm.  And even though my husband's dish was supposed to have meatballs and sausage, he counted one meatball. And unfortunately, it was the meatball he chose to share with me, so in reality, he had no meatballs.

My dish, aside from being lukewarm, was only ok.  The chicken was rather bland and the spaghetti was ok. It wasn't anything to write home about.

Honestly, I'd rather spend a few more dollars and eat at Carrabba's. At least the food's warm there.

This place is wonderful!  We moved to Kingwood in 1975, so we've been eating here probably since they opened.  Now I live in Dallas, but I love to eat here when I visit.

Their Italian food tastes like it was made from fresh groceries in your kitchen at home.  It is a little pricey, but that's because the ingredients they use are so good.  Their pizza is really delicious, too, but you will have to wait awhile for them to make it from scratch.  The ground beef for the pizza is like tiny chunks of real, fresh beef -- absolutely wonderful!

Don't go here if you're in a hurry, but if you can be patient expect some of the best Italian food you can find in a restaurant.

J Christophers is the best pizza and pasta joint around. I have been going to this place ever since I was a kid. We used to hit this place up at least once a week  we loved it so much!

The best part of J Christopers lies in the ownership. This place is mom and pop shop all the way and they really care about their customers. All of their hard work goes into making the service top notch and the food perfect.

I love pretty much everything on the menu but my favorites are the mostacholi and the pepperoni pizza. I am a simple girl, this is a simple restaurant so this is the perfect place for me.

Yup, this place was always full of people when I lived in Kingwood. They serve you fast and clean up well. The pizza and past was good, salads fresh and prices reasonable.

    I miss the place...and I hate Kingwood!

Very good food and always good service. I'd give it a 5* rating, but I think it is slightly overpriced. We still try to go there a few times a year, but if the price was a little more reasonable for the quality, we would probably go a couple times a month.

The only thing this place is missing: patio seating. The other reviewers are right in saying "JC is so good!" J.Christopher's blows the other two kingwood restaurants away. I feel like they are too hidden from the world... they definitely don't belong in a strip mall.

Their pizzas are good - fair priced, too. Their pastas and salad are fantastic. The only entree I ordered that I wasn't a huge fan of was their meatball po-boy... but that didn't keep me from eating it anyway!

They DO deliver. It doesn't strike you as a restaurant that would, but we used to place orders quite a bit when I worked around the corner. If you choose to dine in, and you should- the wait staff is unbeatable.

This place will remain a favorite when I'm up there visiting family. I don't even mind the 15-20 min wait at the entrance as this place is a local favorite.

    HORRIBLE service...

Slow waitstaff, RUDE [male] manager, cold food...etc. Hands down the WORST place in Kingwood, service wise. I've been twice...both occasions were just awful. I do NOT recommend this place!

It's not that the food isn't decent, it's that it is over priced.  You're paying for good, but you're getting "yeah, that's pretty okay."

    Mmmk, no.

This is a really great place. I really love the pizza and salads. Normally I enjoy the greasy hand tossed NY slices but this pizza is really special.  I have only dined inside once and the service was wonderful.

In the interest of full disclosure: I LOVE pizza. I grew up on Chicago-style deep dish, but have since self-corrected for mostly Italian-style hand tossed and wood oven-fired za. I checked out J Christopher's while traveling at the recommendation of family and this is some good eats! Not sloppy and fired Italian-style, but it so didn't matter. We had the thin crust veggie and devoured. We were there with four kids, two of them babies so needed slings. The staff was great about accommodating us. Interior looks like a typical mom n pop Italian restaurant, but who cares? You're there to eat thin crust za!

    J. Christopher's is hands down my favorite restaurant in Kingwood.  Delicious thin crust pizza and chicken parmesan sandwich.  I grew up a few blocks from J. Christopher's, and my first job was as a hostess there.  But I do not include nostalgia in my pizza ratings, and the pizza here is so, so good.

Had a thin crust pizza with canadian bacon, onions, green bell peppers, and green olives today.  I was very disappointed,  The canadian bacon was so very thin, I couldn't taste it.  It had a proper amount of bell peppers and olives, but it was loaded with onions.  It tasted like an onion pizza.  In pizzas I've had at other places, the meat has a dominant taste over the other ingredients.  Here, the onions did.  The meat was too thin to even have a taste.  The sauce tasted like tomato puree straight out of the can.  Thumbs down for me!  Leave this restaurant to the kids who were "raised up in the area" and haven't eaten pizza at better Italian restaurants away from home and, thus, don't know any better.

I enjoy J Christopher's but I only use them as a delivery option, when I don't feel like cooking or going out. Their menu is very diverse from a hot bacon dressing spinach salad and a thin crust pizza that rocks to hamburgers and the oh so delicious sausage bomber sandwich. Delivery is sometimes slow but overall I'm always satisfied.
