I've eaten here a number of times over the past 10 years. I love the baked ziti. The Pizza is good as well. If you're hungy for some meat forget about other pizza places 'all the meats pizza' and try this place's Stuffed meat pizza. Its incredible!
Good service, small family atmosphere. -

After our most recent delivery from J & S Pizza this week, I feel like I have to take away a star :(. Although, it came quickly and the driver was really nice as always, it still wasn't well done even though I requested that way and they said no problem! It was almost soggy on the bottom and not even close to well done. Luckily, it still had it's usual great flavor, but I was disappointed that they couldn't accomodate that simple request. It wasn't like I was ordering at closing time, it was about 6:30. I'm just going to stick to Namoli's from now on, it's definitely better pizza on a consistent basis, and they have great sweet heat wings!

I got take out here for lunch. I ordered one medium cheese pizza with pepperoni, mushrooms, and banana peppers. The pizza was good.. I would say a couple of notches above pizza hut/papa johns. I just moved to the area and this will probably be my new pizza spot. Oh I also tried the Garlic Knots, which you can order one at a time for .75 cents a pop. They were decent as well. They came in a container with what. Looked like olive oil in the bottom and lots and lots of garlic and parmesan cheese. I have seen some bad reviews of the staff's attitudes but I did not have any problems. This was, however, my first time going so that may change in the future. As for now I recommend trying it.

Nice little New York style pizza place. Not much to look out from the outside or inside either really, but it's authentic. Suggestion: ask for "well done" pizza. We ordered a pizza last night and with the toppings, which are piled on like I like it, need just a touch longer in the oven. Will definitely go again.

Just took my wife and daughter. Very good NY style pizza. The large salad was big enough for all three and the sauce and crust were the best part.
I'd go back again. -

WOW. Why are there so many great reviews about this pizza? They must all be friends and relatives of the owners or something.
The crust is so tough and chewy it makes your jaw sore to chew through it. The crust also has a funny wheat or honey flavor to it. YUCK!
Sure, the cheese was melted and it had okay sauce on it I guess, but it is barely edible with that thick crust. I love pizza, and I ended up throwing away most of this pizza because it was not fit to eat. I never throw away left over pizza.
I hope everyone else keeps enjoying it because I will not order from thisplace again. -

OK Yelpers, I took your Q on this one. All 5 stars. I have never had a NY pizza, I have had Cheesecake from Vito's. I called and ordered pizza, I get there and had a chance to talk with the Grand Lady herself. What a great Italian accent and a story. She told me how she came to NY and moved to NC , not knowing anyone only her and her husband. What a great story about hard work and a great family recipe.
The Pizza is excellent. Hey, my wife said it was delicious what more do you want. LOL.
This Pizza is a treat. Love the crust ! I am kinda of a crusty guy. -

This is some great pizza, and its authentic New York Pizza. Try the white pizza, it is incredible!
They also have a full service restaurant in Fuquay-Varina, that is exceptional as well. -

I just recently moved to the area and was craving pizza. After a careful study of reviews on Yelp I ordered from this place thinking it would be the best pizza in the area. I'm sad to say that either I got the pizza maker on the wrong day or everyone in the area has no clue what good pizza is. The crust was chewy, the sauce bland and the service slow.

This is the best pizza I have ever had outside of New York City. If you live in Raleigh or Cary it is well worth the drive to go out and get a pizza. To add to the true New York spirit you can even hear the owner/family arguing in Italian behind the counter and in the back.
I can not remember if they only serve the whole pie or if they also serve by the slice, but this is one time where ordering the whole pie isn't a bad thing.
Definitely worth the trip out to the middle of no where. Only down side is if you are not careful you are likely to pass the place by. The first time I went, I probably passed it 3 times before finding the little pizza shop. -

This is the closest you will come to having a true Brooklyn pie here in NC. That's because the owners are from NYC and because they are real Italians who know their craft. It's worth any reasonable drive to go to either their Apex or Fuquay stores .
Service is fast and friendly, the restaurant comfortable and the prices are more than reasonable. -

I have to say I love everything about J&S. It's a family run business with authentic NY style pizza. If you are eating in, be prepared, it's an old school pizza joint and the ambiance may not be for you but the food will more than make up for it!

J&S Pizza has the best pizza in Apex! We consider ourselves regular customers and are seldom disappointed. The staff treats us like gold and even remembers our usual order.

This place is the best! Whenever I come here I feel like I'm actually in New York because the pizza is as authentic as you can get, and the shop itself has that mom & pop feel to it. Back in the day we used to get an extra large meat lover's pie, which I believe is 18" and piled so high with toppings you could not see any cheese! My nickname for it was "heart attack pizza," because I'm sure a single slice would probably be both your fat and calorie intake for the day, if not more, but it's just SO delicious and can feed two people for a couple of days. It's sad that I don't live in the area anymore, because they just don't do it as well here in VA and when we do go down to NC we're not there long enough to order a whole pie and eat it over the course of a few days. My heart is probably thanking me for it :)
