DISCLAIMER: I just really love birds so I'm biased. :)

The owner's passion is birds. He also works in conjunction with parrot rescue of Austin taking in the unwanted birds. The specialty of this place is mostly in it's large birds, cockatoos, conures, macaws, lorikeets, African grays, ring-necked parakeets, quakers, exotic birds I'm unfamiliar with. If you want to buy a bird here you have to visit it a few times and develop a relationship before it goes home with you.. . so it doesn't return if you don't have the patience for it. The birds are hand-reared so they are people friendly.. expensive but worth it.
They have cages, toys and some bulk seed for sale.
The coolest part is their zoo like backyard full of interesting and unusual parrots and even some goats and emus, chickens, cats, and I think i saw a large tortoise .. so if you're looking for something else to entertain your kids after you go to the Austin Zoo.. it's right in the area
