You can tell by talking with Jay or by visiting the website that this is not your average jewelry store. On their site, besides looking at all their awesome jewelry, you can see what influences their designs, and what music they have on their iPods. These guys are not stuffy, make you feel like maybe you aren't rich enough to be shopping in their store. They with snobby are hip, friendly, very knowledgeable and did not pressure us. A breath of fresh air after visiting all those jewelry stores with snooty suits behind mahogany-cases judging whether the time they spend with you will be worth the commission they get.
In addition to all the unique jewelry they carry in the store (modern, classic, and vintage styles) you can commission your own jewelry. Unlike most jewelry stores that offer this service, j.Albrecht designs in an AutoCad type program so you can see your jewelry in 3-D from any angle. Designs can be tweaked with relative ease and you don't have to keep coming back once a week to see what each new sketch looks like.
I found myself at Jay's after doing some homework on the web on men's tungsten wedding bands (REALLY awesome, check 'em out!). These rings are and were still relatively uncommon and few local jewelers had them and of those only Jay could answer our questions with genuine certainty.
As soon as I have some spare cash that isn't dog-eared for furniture I hope to treat myself to some beautiful sparklies from Jay.
(I know, I sound like a paid advertisement, but my experience here was just that awesome. Stop being so cynical.)
