izabel is absolutely amazing! i adore her and her work.
i've had the pleasure of working with her and having her work her magic on my tresses.
while in her chair i am completely at ease. i find her to be very attentive and professional.
and on top of all the goodness that is izabel, her hours are flexible! i have crazy hours and if you do too, she's your girl.

After keeping my hair long for the last several years, I decided that it was time for a change!!! After my not-so-great experience with Nanel's Beauty School, I decided to invest my money into a stylist who knows what they're doing and I found Isabel. After the very positive reviews from other Yelpers, I decided to give her try and I am so glad that I did. She's been doing hair since 2000 and graduated from SJ City College which has one of the best cosmetology programs.
The length of my hair was at least past my shoulders and I opted for a bob. She thinned out my hair since I was blessed with my dad's genes of thick hair and fixed my bangs. Now I have this cute, short hairstyle, easy to manage and fix in the morning!
Her shop is located in a tiny plaza in the middle of a residential area. There's no sign but it's next to a pizza parlor. I found her to be incredibly nice, attentive, and friendly. Plus she gave me some sample shampoos, conditioners, and frizz control gels to try and so far, they have been fab on my hair!!!
If you're in need of a haircut, check her out as she's got flexible hours and reasonable prices. She also does extensions!

There have been times that I stopped caring about the way my hair looked, as I have been fervently battling allopecia areata for the past year and a half.
Despite my "leopard spots", as I like to call them, Izabel finds a way to help me deal with my problem and I leave Izabel'z every week feeling great about the way my hair looks.
Any stylist can cut my hair, but only at Izabelz do I feel at home. Only a great stylist can offer their clients a great experience on top of a great product. Izabel does both with passion.
Thank you Izabel, for taking your time to discover my individual needs, and for washing my stress away.

Isabel has been doing my hair for years now. I trust her completely and she has always been wonderful at giving me the cut and style that I envision and explain. Her wash and condition always feels heavenly and she uses top of the line (and delicious smelling) products on your hair. I highly recommend giving her a try. You won't be disappointed!
I just went to see Isabel today after reading all of the Yelp reviews and I was super happy with the results. I have long hair and haven't gotten a haircut in 2 years since every hairstylist seems to think it's ok to cut off 4-6 inches of my hair when I ask for a trim. I get a lot of split ends but am trying to keep my hair long. I told Isabel that I had that problem and asked her for a trim and not only did she cut off exactly as much as I asked for but she also taught me some great ways to get my hair healthy again. I am starting a regimen with her and I FINALLY have a great stylist to go to! I have already passed her card around work and really recommend you go see her too.

I'm an older gentlemen (ok, just a guy, but I think of myself as a gentleman ;-) and I feel ackward going into most "salons". But I'm also tired of the standard "chop shops." I also get coloring to hold the gray at bay.
I feel very comfortable going to Izabel, and she consistantly does a great job with both the coloring and the cut. She has flexible hours that suit me fine. Her place is small, but I LIKE that. It's really nice to have unhurried personal attention. It seems that Izabel really takes the time to get it right and is never in a rush. I have been to Izabel'z many times and I have always been pleased with the results. I think you will too.
I love my new hair style! I've had good hair cuts before, but this was a hair STYLE. Isabel listened to what I asked for and gave me the best look I've had in years. I'd trust her to take liberties on my hair after just one cut. I'll definitely be going back.
I live in the neighborhood and found Isabel while walking my dog and cursing about my broken water heater:-) I love the way she cuts my hair, her flexibility as well as skills. My haircut looks great after few weeks too and is easy to maintain. Thank you, Isabel!!!

My partner and I have been going to Isabel for almost two years and we wouldn't go anywhere else. She got be through the awkward phase of super short hair to long hair-- something that isn't easy!
We've been following Isabel from Beliza Salon to this salon-- her very own! We recommend her to all of our friends. Don't get your hair cut by anyone but Isabel!

I found Isabel at Baliza by chance and I have been with her ever since...several years! I have NEVER found a stylist that does what I want until Isabel. I ALWAYS leave feeling great about my hair and I trust her completely...she is a true artist when it comes to hair! The other thing I like is that she will be honest with you. I have had some crazy ideas but if she knows it wouldn't look good she will not hesitate to save me from myself. Also...I have three teenage boys who have been getting their haircuts with Isabel for several years, they now refuse to let anyone else cut their hair...how many teenage boys would care? That's how good she is...they are now very spoiled! I tell everyone about her and now I'm telling you all here...awesome girl...awesome stylist :)

This is a salon just opened by Isabel, formerly from Baliza. It's in a tiny little suite in a shopping center in the middle of a neighborhood where you might miss it if you weren't sure where it was.
But let me tell you: it is worth finding!
I am new to the area and I hunted down Isabel after reading the rave reviews about her here on Yelp. She came highly recommended and even though I was a bit wary to just pick someone randomly, it was totally worth it!
Isabel is amazing! For $38 I got an unbelievable hair "sculpting." For many, many years I've had the unfortunate experience of having terrible stylists and only found one 1 month before I left Indiana for CA that I thought was good.
But Isabel is even better and I didn't think it was possible. I have long, naturally wavy hair and she transformed it into a beautiful flattering cut that framed my face and makes me look like a model, a rockstar, a hot trendy girl, and also a professional all in one. Don't ask me how she does it, but it's possible. If I style my hair in a hurried and not-so-pretty fashion it still looks FANTASTIC! I look like a wealthy, pampered, snobby girl who paid hundreds for the most trendy perfect hair cut. I tell you I have never seen my hair look so good before in all my life. She took great care to cut it just to my specifications even though I didn't know what they were and she did even more than I thought was possible! I will never trust anyone with my hair as much as Isabel and I am definitely going back.
Oh yeah, and an additional plus, since this is a new salon, there isn't much if any wait time if you make an appointment... don't know how long that will last.

Isabel is a wonderful and inspiring lady who has such a sensibility with hair. She is great and If your wondering what to do about your hair then she is definitely the way to go! Don't be modest, I know sometimes were timid when it comes to our own hair but she definitely wants to make you happy. She will go out of her way to understand your needs and that is what I look for in a stylist. I'm just letting you all know now, she's worth every penny!

I've had amazing and horrible experiences with hairstylists, and my experience with Isabel wasn't either. I really liked my haircut...all but my bangs.
I asked for bangs that could be worn straight down or swept to the side, and the result didn't make me want to wear them either way. I took in a picture of what I wanted as well, just so everything was clear. Maybe my bangs came out this way because my hair is thick? But I've had wispy bangs before... Right now, they are too short =/ straight down makes me look like a disheveled anime and to the side doesn't work at all. The next couple of weeks will involve a lot of hairspray, bobby pins, and hats.
But like I said, the rest of the cut was good. She gave me the layers that I wanted and the thinning out that I needed. Her salon is very clean and Isabel herself is a very nice and courteous stylist. I really liked how when I pointed something out, she graciously fixed it rather than acting hassled as many stylists often do.
