Where do I begin. No one speaks when you enter. Unless your skin tone is white. I went to look at jewelry and a lady who works there was peeping at me over the jewelry rack. The lady next to me who was putting socks away didn't speak. Just looking at every item that I touched. I can guarantee you I make more money than them in one day. So stealing is not an option for me.

Outside of that. The stuff is cheesy, very trendy. No originality. Seen it on a million ig pages

I was extremely disappointed when a dress didn't fit (despite the fact that based on my measurements and their size chart it should have fit perfectly), and that I could not get a refund when I went to the store to return it because I had ordered it online (because the store did not carry it given their limited selection).

I haven't posted before but I do understand that in this day and age online reviews are important and alot of people use them to gauge retail and restaurant experiences. This isn't a big box chain store and is locally owned and run. I usually stop in here once or twice a week. The inventory is always changing. The staff was always super helpful and accommodating. The manager of the store would even text and let me know when things I was looking for were in our special sales. I was in the store last week and witnessed what I originally thought was a delivery person speaking loudly and rudely to the staff, he brought what I assume is inventory and then started going around the store moving things. It soon became apparent this was someone above the regular employees. I have never heard someone speak to employees on an open floor like this, let alone in front of customers. Did he think we couldn't hear? This gentleman is an HR nightmare if this company even has an HR department.
I found out through fellow associates with my company that the previous manager no longer is there. I will no longer support this store and have relayed the message to my friends who also shop there. The previous manager was part of the reason this was a great experience to shop here. The store had a small boutique feel and she knew everyone that came in. If her not being there had anything to do with the small gentleman that was in last week, Ivy & Leo should be ashamed of itself.

I have mixed emotions about this place. I walk past it EVERY day on the way to work and I eyeball the items in the windows. If it's cute...I make a mental note....if I gasp...I'll walk in and usually will not purchase because they won't have my size. grr. I have to get a dress in a size large in everything so it won't look like a micro mini on my long legs. And Larges tend to fly off the shelves. Lets face it....I'm not 20 anymore and I shouldn't be in a micro anything. I'm all woman..hear me roar.

I think this location is a little bit "hipper" than the other location that is in the South Park area next to WS. That location has some of the same pieces but I've been in there and the items would def appeal to the older crowd (40's) and then made mid 20s. Today..... Uptown location made me proud.

I had my eye on a Chevron Black and White LONG maxi skirt that was at another boutique in dilworth. I called them and they sold out in about a week. *tears* of sadness. Oh WAIT...I thought to myself...I think Ivy & Leo had the same skirt....I'll check on Monday.

Walked in today with a coworker and I couldn't find it on the rack. *tears of sadness* I browse the sale rack as I morn in silence. My coworker said "is this it". A light from heaven shown down with all it's glory as she held up my beloved chevron black and white maxi skirt. "YES" and I snatched it. Thank the good Lord it was a large. I would have probably bought it anyway if it were a small and squeezed my thick'um thighs in it. (Don't judge...you know you've done that before).

Here's where I get irritated. I'm happy and I asked the sales girl to hold it for me as I need to go back and get my wallet. I could have sworn she rolled her eyes in her head and I politely said that I would be back...no need to worry. She just grabbed it and said "Name?" wow....someone's got the Monday blues.

So I went back and the OTHER nicer girl helped me.

Anyway..that's my story. Check it out. It's a trendy little place and dangerous for me as it's on my way to work....blah. I have a shopping problem.

Let me start of by saying I'm familiar with this store and all of their locations. I live in the building right next door to Overstreet mall and frequent window shop if I'm picking up food. I wandered in today to look at their clothing and nobody spoke to me. They had 3 employees on the floor working walking around me and absolutely nobody spoke to me. I even wandered around the store with product in my hand and nobody asked me any questions had to help myself into a dressing room, came out wandered the store more and still nobody spoke. A few more customers came in and I guess this lady (white) caught their attention enough to kindly ask her " how she was doing" and "if if she need any help finding anything". I waked up to the register with a skirt in hand and that is when they noticed me enough to check me out. Considering these sales associates work a customer service job I would think they can service any customer regardless if they look like they are going to spend money in the store or based on the color of their skin. Awful business practices.

Horrible customer service...or rather customer acknowledgement. On three separate occasions I have walked into this store and been completely ignored by the sales associate (older lady with blonde hair), while she runs to greet other customers that walk in after me. During the afternoon hours, other more helpful associates are working so her behavior is not as noticeable. The company should invest some resources into diversity training or will continue to lose business. I regret shopping here and won't return.

I am a current Bank of America employee. When purchasing gifts for my wife this is always my go to store, because I know it's one her favorite shops and Rachel knows just what the wife likes. I stopped by there earlier this week to seek Rachel's assistance, but ended up finding out that she no longer works there and has been let go. Very sad when good talent is unfairly treated.

This is one of the few times when I don't want to rate a place by using the star scale. Truthfully, I would rate this store something different every time I visit.

Here's the deal, it is no doubt a cute, fun, trendy shop and it is a great alternative to the mall and some of the other mainstream locations...BUT I think you have to be a certain size and able to wear a certain style to really shop here for the most part. That may be because I am 5'll so I always seem to have that issue but overall I think this boutique best fits a more "petite" woman!

I do love the dresses in their summer collection and I have a couple that I pretty much lived in this year but some of their items are a little on the tacky side. They are a sister to the store "Julies" and I don't know if any of you remember Julies but it used to be at Carolina Place Mall. It was somewhat cool at first but then it turned into more of a dress barn type store...tacky and frumpy. I see glimpses of Julies in Ivey and Leo from time to time. It is as if Julie is their ugly stepsister that they try to keep hidden but she surfaces every now and again.

I also think it is slightly hit or miss, although, most boutiques are. I was in there a couple times during Christmas break and there was a very limited selection...even with the jewelry. There are times when I walk in and try on 20 things and other times that I walk out in 5 minutes because I find everything to be brutal.

Even though I have gone back and forth about this place, I do like it here and I will always make it a part of my shopping routine. For the most part they have great accessories and at least one or two fun items to try on. Another plus is that they are pretty affordable and the quality is good for the price!

It is definitely worth stopping by...if you don't find anything you like, try back in a couple months because you may have a different experience! :)

Now I love to shop...and I especially love to shop for cute trendy clothes at relatively inexpensive prices. For that kind of experience, the Ivy & Leo store in Founder's Hall is perfect. They have trendy jewelry, purses, clothes, and shoes that are great for going out or casual jaunts around the city. If you work uptown, it's very convenient when you need a little retail therapy at lunch.

I've purchased five dresses, a clutch, and multiple jewelry items (for myself and as gifts) and received rave reviews. The staff is very helpful and attentive without being overbearing. Be sure to go back often as the inventory turns over quickly and they only have so many in each size of each item.

Two minor things to note - there are only two changing rooms to try on items, and if you don't work uptown, parking could get tricky. Suggestion is to go at an off-peak time (right when it opens or mid-afternoon), and if you don't want to worry about uptown parking, try out the Southpark location.

Great place for gifts or to treat yourself. I'm a huge fan of Ivy & Leo's!
