Nice owners, very involved with YPR (Young Professionals of Racine). However, the place always smells with smoke, so we don't go there, even for YPR events. Will try again when the smoking ban is effective July 5. They do have good food for catering.
Whenever I have been in here, it's been kind of dead. The history of the building is listed on their menu, and it really feels like a place trapped in time. The food is great - fresh and inventive. The cheese curds are a must!
This place brings in a decent crowd. but really needs to upgrade, because its hard to move around. I know its an eatery too, but I haven't been there for that, just cocktails. It can be hard to get a drink because of the amount of people that sit around the bar.
So the potential is there but it hasn't been realized, I found that the pool table really has become cumbersome at Ivanhoe's
Great food, great drinks and a killer atmosphere
Ivanhoe's food is GREAT. Love the black and blue burger, the rosemary potato salad, the sweet potato fries. Their catering service is great, too. The salads are delicious. Generally well done. I tend to go for lunch so I can miss the bar crowd at night.
