**3.5 stars** This place is a charming establishment with friendly clientele.  Our server was probably one of the nicest people I've ever met in my life! A friend and I went to dinner there a few nights ago...their menu was a typical Greek menu - gyros, moussaka, pasticio, even things like burgers!  I have to say this gets reduced a bit because their pasticio...I've had better.  It's supposed to be firm, this one was squishy and not al dente. Also - tomato sauce? On the bechemel?  Isn't that sacrilegious?  All meals come with a side Greek salad and some kind of potato.  That's what I'm talkin bout! Starch with a side of starch.  Anyway, it's not enough of a deterrent to keep me from coming back.  Although it will only be when I go to visit my friend who lives out there! But I'll have to try something else.  Oh btw, they had a phenomenal dessert - a custard phyllo tart with honey and my friend and her mother ordered coffee - I have to take their word for it, but they said it was very good.

Best Gyro I ever had (and I was engaged to a Greek for a while)!  What a charming, clean, friendly place.  The iced Greek coffee frappe' is delicious too!  This definitely has become a regular spot for lunch when I'm at work. I highly recommend It's Greek To Me if you're in the mood for some great Mediterranean food!

I used to come this place till the day I heard the cook outside yelling at an elderly man, told him if he wanted to eat there he could not use the bathroom. I am totally shocked! The lady and the daughter that work there are very friendly and nice but the cook ? if he yells at customers then I dont want his food. PS they used to have yummy desserts The greek salad was good too

I agree- great food, nice place to have dinner or great just to call in your order for pick up on the way home!  The gyro's give you the perfect tsatziki to agita ratio - I just love to eat the gyro for 6-8 hours!!  Yum - the mark of an excellent gyro!.
All the other foods there are yummy as well.

I really like this place. That family that runs it is super nice. The Chicken Gyro rocks this planet big time. They have some really creative dishes like Shrimp with tomato and spinach. We do a lot of takeout from here. The place is average decor, nice but nothing fancy. Their fish is always really fresh and I love there spinach pie.

Looking for some local taste while in town on business, I headed over, based on these Yelps. Gotta say, I'm not sure what the fuss was about. It's a nice take out place, with some definitely great appetizers. But the service was pretty nonexistent: more diner than small family neighborhood place. Atmosphere was cute, homey, but the separate dining room from the tables up front makes for what seems to be a take out joint trying to give some waiting area.

The chicken souvlaki, while a big portion, was a little on the bland side. The "meat triangles" (their description, not mine)wrapped in phyllo, were actually much more authentic and flavorful. Costs were fine.

Look, it's great Greek for a nice dinner with the family after a soccer practice, but don't make a special trip just for this. As an out of towner, I could have hit up Cool Fish or ESG just as easily, but hey: not a lot of good Greek in San Francisco, so any Greek was welcome to me.

Prices too high, service is OK. Food is great. What a dilemma. Best and Only Greek place in Syosset

Family owned & operated.. dad in kitchen... wife /daughter host...  It's good.... salad is fresh...

This place is better for the chicken souvlaki than it is the gyro..
don't get the falafel.. but I say that anywhere on Long Island.. go to NYC for that.. a stand... or downtown on a backstreet catering to middle easterners..

Here.. chicken souvlaki.. greek salad.. ok gyros.

the food is pretty good but it's really expensive. I don't understand why though! It's not a formal sit down place, it's pretty casual and simple but just over priced...

I can not believe no one has written a review about this place yet!!!!!!! In the heart of syosset "it's greek to me" sits in a small shopping center very close to my ALL TIME FAVORITE bakery!!! They have been in business in syosset for over 15 years....and in that location for over 5 which says something special!!!! I stopped in today for a quick bite and had a lunch salad with lamb! It was truly a wonderful lunch! I went alone, but the owner was so friendly and chatted with me about family, food, passion! What a sweet lady! I cant wait to go back for dinner to see what its like....she makes all of the pastry fresh right there! She was cooking up a storm mid day - for the night time! I hope the dinner is as fresh, light, and tasty as the lunch and I can wait to bring my SO, fam and friends to try it out!

This is a nice little Greek place.  Not fancy and not pretentious, but good basic reasonably priced Greek food.  I was in the area for a high school reunion and I wish this place was enough for me to go back and try some more.

I only get  take out from here. Eating in is just not worth it. Folks are very nice but with only Dad in the kitchen food is slooow (if ordering take out give em at least 30mins before you leave home).  Personally it's bland too.  Price is a bit much for what you get, but hey it's the North Shore.  I have friends that LOVE it and get "special dishes" made just for them.  Me, I just want the occational Gyro.  If getting the Platter it comes with small Greek salad with choice of carb.  I choose the Greek Fries (think thick potato chips with a squeeze of lemon) over the fries or rice any day.
