Instead of hummus they give you white bean and olive oil with pita. The lamb pita was ok stuffed with red onions and sauce. The salad was ok. Cucumber peppers tomatoes lettuce and a stuffed grape leaf. Low or no music. Lots of employees to customer ratio and chatting among themselves. No greek employees. Service was good. Overall ok but

I was in the mood for Greek food so stopped at this location with my manager. When I arrived I parked on the street nearby. We walked in and were greeted and sat by our server William. I ordered the mixed seafood orzo lunch special and my manager ordered the tuna salad. When the food came out it looked great. I dug in and it was tasty but needed a little bit of salt. The mussels and fish were the best part. My manager enjoyed his meal. I enjoyed my time.

Very average greek food. Had the Greek salad which was fine and the chicken pita, the chicken was very dry. Overall it ok if you are looking for a quick lunch but considering how many Mediterranean place on the same street not sure it's worth going back.

I will never go to this place again. (Oh, and if you write a bad review be aware that the business owner will go aggro on you and tell you you don't know what you're talking about, FYI. I'm not a liar. I have 395 Yelp reviews, soooo.)

I used to go to IGTM when there was a location in Hoboken and always enjoyed it. Last night, I tried the Englewood location and did not like it at all. The taramasalata was OK, but the portion is ridiculous. If two people sharing ate all of that they would throw up. This could have easily served 6 to 8 people. Why serve an entire platter of dip?

My friend got the spanakopita. At first, it looked cute, like a little rectangular hand pie. But it was so dry she had trouble cutting it with her knife. I got the lamb pita, but I think it was a mystery meat. It was very gamy and also very tough. I was just going to eat it and keep my mouth shut/not send it back, so I asked for more tzatziki sauce, which was actually tasty. But I looked at one of the chunks I had just bitten and it tasted gross and didn't look flaky, like how beef or lamb looks. It looked more like....liver or some kind of offal. At this point I was grossed out and didn't eat the rest of any of the food.

Also, the pita is $13, but if you get the platter for $30 you also get Greek fries with it -- for $17 extra. And grilled peppers too, I guess. But a side of fries is only $7, so what's the extra $10 for? A fresh sweet pepper costs about 50 cents.

      Very disappointing.

One last thing: I slipped and almost fell bc the bathroom floor was wet. Nasty and dangerous too.

The criticisms about here are not the biggest, but we wanted to give it a shot and were not disappointed. I think they have had rotten servers in the past, but seems to have mitigated such a situation since then. The food was good and the staff appears to have improved considerably. We ate gyros and Greek fries. BYOB makes it a great go to when in the area too.

Reviews don't lie - I wanted a quick pick up lunch but went against my intuitions to pick up a gyro from here due to my favorite one across the road closing for Saturday...
I got this salty dried meat shavings stuffed in stale pita bread dubbed "gyro" with sprinkles of onions, hugely cut tomatoes, and ladle of unrefined tzatziki sauce.

It had absolutely no redeeming quality, not to mention it's pricey for what it is. Waitress on the phone curtly responded that fries are extra.

What happened to this place? Definitely something changed over the years because it used to be great. Don't waste your time- plenty of other similar Mediterranean options nearby.
If it has to be Greek, the fort lee location 10 minutes way has much better food, private parking lot, and better service.

The service was good and decor was nice. We ordered the taramosalada appetizer. It tasted very good, but the portion was ridiculously large and very wasteful. Two thirds of it was thrown out. That's where the good part of the meal ended. I ordered the spanakopita; it was so dry. Dry spinach filling, a hint of feta, and dry phyllo. It was very underwhelming. The grilled veggies were decent. Overall, not someplace I would choose to eat in again.

The business owner is angry about my review rather than apologizing for my bad experience. Threatening a customer to report them to Yelp does nothing to improve the quality of the spinach pie. My review is intended to give honest feedback about my dining experience. If the waiter had bothered to ask us how our meal was, we would have told him.

I have been coming to this restaurant for more than 20years. Their Englewood location is very convenient, close to my job. Their shrimp gyro is a new many item, and it is very tasty. Their coffee is a must to have.

The moral of this review is to never order a tuna steak at It's Greek To Me in Englewood, plus we had problems with 3 other lunch dishes we ordered for pickup yesterday.

When we lived in Englewood more than a decade ago, we were regulars at this restaurant. The quality of the food was high, portions were good and prices were reasonable.

But, judging from our takeout order of 4 lunch entrees and a large salad, as well as the other negative reviews that appear below, this place is in trouble.

"Did they change the chef?" my wife wanted to know after she ate her Sauteed Shrimp with fresh tomato, feta and spinach over orzo -- once her favorite dish on the menu.

My mother-in-law hoped for sliced lamb in the Kokinisto over orzo, but found that it had been chopped up.

My small Pan-Seared Tuna steak with spinach rice and garlic-lemon sauce was badly overcooked and dry, even though I asked for it medium rare (the young woman who took my order wrote "M.R." on the order slip, but the kitchen ignored that request).

The Grilled Calamari with rice is just a small portion of grilled squid.

The best item in our order was a large Horiatiki Salad, a tomato salad with cucumber, onion, pepper, creamy feta cheese and olives ($17.50).

The restaurant was generous with plenty of Greek pita bread, but I was disappointed to get more than a dozen plastic utensils that I had no intention of using (and threw in the recycling bin), because we ate at home, plated our food and used our own forks and knives.

When restaurants are only preparing food for takeout and delivery, they should ask if the customer wants plastic utensils, not just throw them into an order.

Lunch entree portions were small, but were priced at $14 to $16 each.

With a $5 gratuity, our total was $87.63, but our experience was disappointing, and I doubt we'll try this branch of It's Greek To Me again.

My son complained the grilled squid with his rice had no flavor."

Always consistent, in a positive way. Good food, varied menu. I love buying salad dressing to take home. Downside is that they don't often have it.
