This company sucks. The district manager sucks, the policies suck, and the prices suck. I experienced the worst customer service of my life here. I was told by two different employees that I could buy and try and that I could return if I didn't like the product. This is apparently not the case. I bought a $120 bottle of lotion ( who buys a lotion that expensive?), tried it once and did not like it. The next time I went in they refused to return it and said that the two employees that had told me this were misinformed. An hour of debate with the district manager produced zero results as well in the sense that I have no need for a credit when I am leaving the country for a year in a month. Anyways, the story is much too convoluted but the point is DON'T TAKE YOUR BUSINESS HERE! When I was speaking with the district manager all she could complain about was how high her energy bill was.

My little secret...it's a great place to take a nap!! Then, I always seem to wake up a little darker...strange! Anyhow, this place is clean, the staff is friendly and they have great package deals. Since, I have to wear skirts and shorts year long...my tan is mandatory. It's sad that I can't just be tan because I live in San Diego. Somehow, my friends in LA think that's how it works~

One of the best salons I've been to.
-they're clean
-they have a good variety of plans, lotions, and beds
-their packages are good (you get the most flexibility with points in bulk)
-they have really good hours of operation (open till 9!)
and they now provide towels and goggles! When I first started going fall of '07, I had to buy my own goggles, which I thought was weird. Now they have them ready for you in the bed... like every other normal tanning place.
Overall, I think iTan is a good value. A classic case of "you get what you pay for."
This place is great if you like to spend a lot of money on tanning and never actually get tan.

I am originally from LA, but was spending a few months in San Diego. I have been going tanning for about 4yrs now to tanning salons all over the place.. Unfortunately I-tan was the worst experience thus far. My roommates suggested the place because it was close to our place and they were also members. Before I-tan I never paid a membership fee at a tanning salon. My roommates told me its no big deal and that there are plenty of coupons that came to our place for free membership. So one day I went to check out I-tan. After asking a few questions I told the lady at the besk I would be back with the coupon my roommates had mentioned. She stopped me and said "o we don't have that coupon anymore". Disappointed but still interested, I decided to sign up. After paying the fee, buying a lotion and a package I went home to find a coupon in the mailbox from I-tan that read "free membership for new customers" extremely disappointed I never went back. I left the manager a few messages but have yet to hear from her, its been a few months now.
Inside the Von's shopping center, iTan is great to pop into when you're running errands. I never had to wait more than 5 minutes there for a bed, and 95% of the time, didn't have to wait at all. They have good packages, where you pay for points that don't expire and can be applied to any bed type. This is ideal if, like me, you don't tan regularly, and switch bed levels.
Always clean, and they have a full selection of lotions and flip flops. They didn't have goggles with a strap available when I asked, though (for the stand up), and never offered me a towel. Star off for that.
