Italy Express: For Italians on the go? It's not THAT fast. It's a pizza place.
Not greasy, not floppy, not overly crisp, not topped with three inches of cheese and no sauce. It's one of my favorite pizza places in the South Bay.
Another pizza place I've found where I like the crust enough to actually eat it. I don't even know how to describe it. Light, fluffy, thin, slightly sweet dough? Yummy. Yum. Yummy-licious. Delicious. Delish. Orgasmic. Organic? I dunno, but good-tasting, nonetheless.
Margherita and a Margarita. It makes me smile.

This is one of those hole in the wall places most people don't try but locals all love it. What brought me to this place was their Philly. It isn't the best in SD but it is the best in Chula Vista. I have since tried their meatball sandwich and it is great! The pizza is good too while my parents and sister like the Greek Salad.
The place is made for take out but there are a few tables inside.
A pretty cool place that is one of my "What am I going to eat on a lazy Sunday?" places.

Hubby and I always choose this over regular chain pizza places. The staff always remember us and the service is always great. I've only had their pizza, which is awesome. We always eat inside. It may be small, but the serivce is good and everything is super clean.

Gets my vote for best pizza in Eastlake. Their other appetizers are o.k. and the prices are fair for the product you're buying.
I'd order the food "to go"... the tiny dine-in area is not especially pleasant, but suitable for waiting for your pizza. Hey, while you're waiting you can also pick up cheap beers next door at Rite Aid.

Tired of Pizza Hut? Dominos not to your liking? Did Papa John's make you sick the last time? Well, have no fear! Italy Express to the rescue!
(That was lame, huh?) Anyway, around my house here, those were the only options. All of them are good, but sometimes you just don't want the "chain" taste. You want something original. And that's when I used to order Italy Express. The selection is the same as any pizza restaurant, but they did have some pluses on their side. The most notable? Their "Works" pizza! It was around $20 for a large, but well worth it. Also, they have different specials all the time, so make sure you call to see what they are. Not to mention that they usually send out an ad in the mail every week for even more bargains.
This is a small place that was meant for take out, but they do have tables there if you want to eat in. They also have a small selection of salads, pasta, sandwiches, and desserts. The prices might be a little more than the "chains," but well worth it for something different.
