LOVE love love the food! Atmosphere nice, decor a smidge cheesy, but who cares when the food is alway HOT, FRESH and yummy. Servers are great! Everyone is friendly and some nights you might even catch a serenade. Lovely, small town joint right off the highway. Italian done right!

My entire family loves this restaurant. We have been going here since September 2004 and we have never been disappointed. They have outstanding salads, pasta dishes and pizza; and the service is friendly and fantastic. My personal favorite entree is the chicken arrabbiata. With the jalapenos in it, I would have to classify it as a Italian/Texas fusion, but it is delicious and I love it. My favorite dessert is a hot cup of cappuccino and big slice of toasted almond creme cake.
The exterior and interior are both recently renovated and look very nice. They have live music on Friday nights and it can get a bit crowded so make a reservation if you are going that night. At $10-$12, entrees are very reasonably priced and are a wonderful value for the size of the portions. It is BYOB so bring along your favorite bottle(s) of wine. My only lament is that they don't have spumoni ice cream, but I guess I can't have everything. -

My family loves coming here for dinner. Great pasta, pizza and appetizers. Service is great. We had them cater a dinner and everyone raved about the food. Anytime we have a big party, we will be ordering from them.

My friends and I meet here about once a month or so to enjoy great food and a relaxing atmosphere. We've tried just about everything on the menu and never had a bad item. Love the house dressing for the salads! The menu has a lot of the classics and some creative flares as well. I'm hooked on the chicken genovese (in a creamy cognac sauce). Also a big fan of the stuffed tilapia. And the tiramisu!!
And if you're having a really good time at your table, don't be surprised if the owner comes by to chat and laugh with you; he's wonderful, does some magic tricks, and will make you something special if you're not in the mood for anything on the menu.
They also deliver AND have a branch location in the gas station at the corner of I-35W and Westport parkway (they also deliver). The stromboli at the gas station location is hard to beat. -

Who knew an old Dairy Queen in Roanoke could turn into a quaint little Italian restaurant? I used to go there at least once a month when I worked in that area and wow, is it good!
The dishes are cheap and are large portions. The staff is extremely friendly and all family. After my first return trip, they treated me as if I was their best friend. Loved it! Each dish I ever had was always wonderful. The house dressing is great, although maybe they put a little too much on the salad. The cheese is top quality (I'm a cheese snob) and the rolls are oh so yummy.
If you are ever in the Roanoke area, go there, you will not be disappointed! -

This restaurant has a cute interior. Nice selection of dishes and affordable prices. This is a good value. Note that it is BYOB and does not serve alcohol. Most dishes $10-13.

All the food that I've had here has been SO good & its so cheap. I love their bread & salad w/ the house dressing. The Spaghetti Special was really good. It's bring your own wine, which will save you even more money cause they aren't marking it up 200%. Although we didn't bring our own wine, so I don't know if you have to pay a corking fee or pay for glasses. Next time I will. We had great service. We will go back for sure.

The lobster ravioli is very tasty and the perfect portion size. I never have leftovers when I order it. They are very reasonably priced, even the lobster ravioli is only $10. Usually, you pay a lot more for a seafood dish at other places, at Italian Bistro their highest priced seafood dish is still under $14. This is a great family restaurant, but would also make a lovely date night spot. The rolls are very tasty! One of our favorite features is that they are BYOB.
They also deliver with a minimum order of $15! -

Food is good but service is horrible. Had my rigatoni dinner partially served in my lap with no apology. Told who I thought wad the manager and got an, "oh" and then he walked off. Ended up paying for the meal but i'll never go back there again. Oh, and don't expect your water glass to get refilled. Ever.

I go to this restaurant as least once a month. It is super affordable...the food is super duper, the service is great and I always have food to take home so the portions are generous. I know that this "family" owned restaurant has other relatives in the area that own Italian restaurants also, so it is definitely in the blood. I am addicted to the Toasted Almond Cream cake...it is a little bit pricey compared to the price for everything else, but worth it. My favorite entree (not always on the menu) is the Chicken rolatini...chicken breast with crab meat stuffing in Vodka pink sauce...my fav. Admittedly I dip the bread in the sauce and eat it and find I often do not have the apetite to eat all my dinner. (and leave room for dessert) I love the bring your own wine...it makes the meal super affordable for those who like to go out on a budget...

Don't let the exterior fool you. This place has some good Italian food and a good value. My favorite is the spaghetti special (meatballs and mushrooms) A big plus is that it is BYOB and no corkage fee. It can be noisy at times as the tables are very close together.

Roanoke, TX
I must say, I was disappointed with my first experience at Italian Bistro. I was very excited to go, having moved out to Roanoke in the summer and driving past the packed parking lot every night, I couldn't wait to try it when the weather turned cooler.
My boyfriend and I arrived with a bottle of wine and were seated at a very good table, which definitely scored points because as we look and are rather young, we almost always get the worst table in any place. The salad was only ok, it had an interesting tomatoey dressing that I liked but my boyfriend did not. The problem came with the entree. I had ordered eggplant parm with a side of pasta and a side of alfredo. I like to mix the alfredo with the pasta and make my own pink sauce instead of having the rich house made sauce. When I ordered, I explained it to the waitress and she repeated it back, so I figured we were a-ok. She did not bring the food out, and when it did come the alfredo sauce was on the pasta. I explained to the man (I think the owner?) that I wanted regular spaghetti with marinara and alfredo on the side. He asked why and explained to me that he could put pink sauce on it, and I politely declined. The pasta came out promptly and all was well.
My 2-star rating does not come from this, I know when I do special orders, I run the risk of it not coming out right. The problem came when the waitress came back with the same bowl of Alfredo-drenched pasta and said with a snotty attitude, "This isn't what you wanted?" The issue had been taken care of 10 minutes ago, which she very well knew, and she obviously had some sort of personal issue with it. I was very embarrassed and appalled that she would even think it was appropriate to come out with that SAME bowl of wrong pasta and try to show that she was correct. I have worked in the industry and can never image putting a customer in such a position. Needless to say, it ruined the whole meal and we have not been back. I hate that this restaurant is so close and just one interaction ruined our entire experience enough for us not to visit again. Maybe sometime, when I think that she's maybe has moved one, we'll try it again. The food was alright I think. I honestly do not remember much about it, being so put off by the waitress's actions. I hope that her confrontation wasn't supported by management. But, seeing as it was the manager who had fixed the misstep in the first place, I am not confident in that hope at all. -

An excellent restaurant that is a definite value. The place had two cars in front when we pulled up on a Saturday evening, so we almost drove off. I am glad we didn't. The food was spectacular for the price. I had the calzone, which had 6 different ingredients and was enough for 2 or 3 meals. It was delicious. I can't remember the name of the chicken dish that my guest ordered, but it was tasty and an incredible deal for under $10. It was two chicken breasts and shrimp seasoned with a sauce, mashed potatoes, a vegetable mix, a side of spaghetti, and a side salad! Go check it out!

My wife and I have been enjoying the Italian Bistro for the last four years and it is excellent. The restaurant is set in a beautiful elegant atmosphere and they provide excellent customer service, outstanding quality of food ordered and served and great value for the money that you spend. They have a truly diversified menu with outstanding choices to satisy even the most discriminating customer. We always take our family and best friends to dinner there for a truly outstanding dining experience.
