The single cabins are right out of Alice in Wonderland, BEFORE she had the potion that said "drink me."  They are tiny!  The bed takes up most of the floor space, and navigating the room takes a coordinated dance.

That said, the cabin was CLEAN and the bed COMFORTABLE, and that's what we cared most about.

Another reviewer spoke about the "continental breakfast."  I'd just add that it was absolutely NOT appropriate for someone on a gluten-free diet.

We stayed at Isleview as it was the cheapest place we could find. While I wouldn't necessarily not stay here again, I'd be inclined not to as our room smelled very mildewy. We left the windows open and turned the heat on, and the smell went down a lot, but it was pretty intolerable.

Other than that, it was a decent motel and cabin company.

The breakfast was meh, and there wasn't anything beyond a television for entertainment, but if you're on a budget it may be fine for you!

Isleview is a very good budget motel for people who are not picky and don't plan to spend much time there.

    - The rates were very good. We got 3 people in a suite for $85 during foliage season. It had 3 beds and one was in a separate room allowing for some couples/parental privacy. The fridge and microwave worked and were very clean. In fact, everything in the room was very clean and well cared for.

    - We made reservations online only a week in advance and had no trouble. We arrived late, so called ahead and they left the keys in a mailbox for is. Checkout simply consisted of returning the keys.

    - Walls are VERY thin. So it can make for some awkward evenings, if you know what I mean. And in the morning the neighbors can be loud - especially if they have children.

    - We had little interaction with staff, so can't comment on that.

    - The television made us all laugh. The web site advertised "flat screen TVs". Yes, it's flat but it is also smaller than my computer screen. We didn't mind as we don't watch TV, but I can't see how anyone could enjoy it - especially since it is across the room from the beds and chairs.

    - The continental breakfast was also funny. It consisted of generic brand bread, powdered donuts and honey muffins bought at the grocery store and just laid out on a table still in their packages. There is no milk or juice or tea or hot chocolate - just coffee and a gallon of Sunny D juice-like substance. So if you have kids you're out of luck. They did have a toaster you could use with a tub of fake butter substitute and some jelliy. No muffins, cereal, fruit or anything else you'd expect with a continental breakfast. Again, we didn't expect any breakfast at all so didn't mind. But you should be aware since they advertise a continental breakfast on this Yelp entry.

    - And what's the deal with the name? There is no view of any "isle". In fact, on their web site it says "NO VIEW OF THE WATER", which makes me think they got in trouble in the past for the misleading name of the motel. It's a sad way to trick Internet reservations.

    - A friend stayed in one of the $50 rooms and it was fine. It was indeed very small (just a bed and shower), but it was advertised as such so no problem.

Overall, we would stay there again. If all you need is a place to crash and shower then this is a great bargain. If you want more of the vacation experience or some privacy, then we don't recommend Isleview.
