Food is edible, good for a quick stop lunch.

Ordered the conch fritters and when it came out it looked over-fried and dumped into a batch of old oil. Otherwise, I don't recommend you go out of your way to dine here. If you're in the area and are hungry, it may just be okay to satisfy your tummy.

What a wasted opportunity this place is.

Islamorada Fish Company is a complete disappointment, and it's going down hill. I first came here in 2003 and have been back maybe twice a year since. What happens is that I usually have an out of town friend in tow who needs to purchase camping gear and we find ourselves at Bass Pro Shops at 2pm, hungry.

The food is greasy and tasting of food-service supply company.

You'd think that a restaurant conceived in Islamorada and (in this case) attached to a huge fishing equipment store and located next to the Fishing Hall of Fame would have amazing seafood. You'd think wrong! This place is bad processed food served by uninspired service staff.

The place is not disgusting; the food won't get you sick, but you might feel slightly sad as you walk back to your car for having wasted time and money on a bad meal.

I had been shopping at Outdoor World/ Bass Pro, when I got hungrier than I have been in a while. Fellow yelper AW and I had seen negative comments about this place and decided to go in anyway.

The food selection is like any Flannigans/Sports Bar. We decided to order a couple of appetizers between the both of us; fried calamari, fried shrimp and coconut shrimp. We had requested to sit outside and I recall the lady who sat us saying "enjoy the show", as she walked away. I was left wondering what show she was referring to; it wasnt long before I noticed large iguanas showering in the water and taking walks around the sitting area. It made for an entertaining lunch, and we both left completely full; perhaps all the fried food.

We both left glad we had gone in, yet only saw ourselves going back if ever shopping at Outdoor World again.

Last Sunday we made the mistake to stop by after a day at the beach. The food was horrible and the waiter was worse. We were choking on our food before we could get some drinks we ordered at the table. Very bad experience, the waiter dissapeared on us which is a no no and prices were too high for what we got in return.
Will NOT come back!

Bar none, the worst restaurant in the entire world.
The food, the service, everything sucks at this place.
Dont bother.  You will feel very taken if you eat in this "JOINT"   The food tastes like its from the microwave and the servers are dumber than dumb.  Even their scary sugary bread is awful! (Bimini bread)

Its a tourist trap with really awful food.  Something should be done about this mess or they will go out of business very shortly and they surely deserve to !   This place doesnt have any redeeming qualities whatsoever.  The food is scary and the service even scarier.  They should be shut down immediately.
What are they thinking?????

We ate in the marlin bar. We started with the smoked Wahoo appetizer. I was way better than I expected, especially with a dash of Tabasco.

For dinner, I had the island sampler with alligator, conch fritters and a crab cake. The crab cake was just OK, not a whole lot of flavor and a bit over cooked. I enjoyed the conch fritters and the alligator. My wife had the Greek salad with blackened dolphin fish (mahi). The fish was excellent (flavor and seasoning), but only luke warm. The bread is very good. It's sweet, almost like a dessert. It's baked with some sugar n top

Bar area filled up and became very noisy. Service was good. The drinks here are excellent. I had a patron margarita and my wife had a Bloody Mary made with Absolute Peppar.

I would go back.

If you go have appetizers only.

This is the second time eating dinner at the Islamorada Fish Company - Dania Beach.  We eat at the restaurant in the keys regularly and have always been happy with our meals there.  I wish I could same the same for DAnia Beach.  I shop at Bass Pro quite often and am always at the Marlin Bar for drinks and appetizers and have never had a problem.  Its both times I've eaten at the restaurant that both experiences were horrible.  The second time will be the last however as my entree was inedible and my wifes sandwich was a joke to say the least.

My wife and I needed to do some shopping so I suggested lunch at IFC.  We had some beers, bimini bread, and old bay shrimp everything was great until the entrees.

I ordered the Grouper Portofino.  The grouper itself wasn't bad but the sauce was more of a paste and was absolutely disgusting how served.  I'm suprised the dish left the kitchen like that.  It was thick and pastey and tasted neither of lobster nor brandy but more like flour and butter. In addition the broccoli was rubber and the wild rice incredibly salty.

As for my wifes sandwich, we paid $11.99 for the islamorada grouper sandwich.  The tomato was larger than the fish.  The menu says it is served on a kaiser but looked more like a dinner roll.  I don't mind paying 12 bucks for a fish sandwich but this was a complete rip off.

If I were alone I would have brought it to the manager's attention but my wife gets embarassed and suggested we just learn our lesson and never come back which I think I may agree with her.  All in all we paid $70 for dinner and drinks on a meal that wasn't worth $20.

Went here last night for dinner. The restaurant was surprisingly just average. For this place to be known for its seafood, it certainly didn't meet my expectations.

I ordered broiled and Cajun shrimps, scallops (which were bland and without taste), and crab cakes (which were filled with too much bread crumbs).  Although the fish was fresh, it just lack flavor & taste.

The decor is decent. They have a pretty salt water aquarium in the center of the restaurant, and they also have seating outside on the patio.  But keep in mind that the restaurant is right off of I-95, so you might be disturbed by the noisy traffic if you sit outside.  The waiter was average...nothing to write about.

Definitely will not be returning.

Yum! This place has some of the freshest fish in town and most certainly the best conch fritters in Broward County. I love the decor in the place. There is a giant saltwater fish tank so you can look at the realtives of the fish you just ate :) There is also a lobster tank with Maine lobster if you want to pick your dinner yourself. This restaurant tries hard to look like you are in the Keys or the islands. It's even a little hot and muggy which isn't necessary because it's completly enclosed.

The menu is large and there is something for everyone. They even have a sushi bar. I love the conch fritters, they taste so fresh and homemade. The batter is great and there are big chuncks of conch in them. I also loved the Grouper Reuben. The filet of fish in the sandwich was thick and their Bimini Bread is so good. It's like eating a little piece of cake before dinner!! They have a great bar. They made my margarita just the way i like it (patron and citronge). I am a picky margarita drinker. They even made a couple shots that I had to tell the bartender how to make, but they came out perfectly (pineapple upside down shots). What a great meal! I love this place and any tourist flying into Ft.Lauderdale should eat here. It's really close to the airport. You can also do some shopping while you're there. The prices are great as well.

We wandered into this restaurant after having exhausted ourselves looking at big boys toys at the excellent Bass Pro shop that houses the restaurant.

Saturday night was busy and we had to wait about half an hour for our table. Fortunately they have a beeper gadget so you can wander around the shop to kill the time.

The restaurant has a rather decent decor catering mainly for the kids with a large aquarium as the center piece.

Ordered clam chowder, greek salad and grilled grouper and snapper. The fish was fresh and well cooked but all in all the meal was rather average. The place seems to suffer from common chain-food symptoms like boiled vegetables with no taste, lack of spicing etc.

Not a bad place by any means, especially if you've got kids. If you fancy Red Lobster you'll probably like this place as well.

Final note on the seating. They have outdoors seating which sounds like a great idea, but the noise from the adjacent I95 is a tad bit loud so I'd recommend indoor seating.

We went here on Sat. during the middle of the day. The place only had two other couples eating and the service SUCKED! Our waitress was so damn ditsy she kept forgetting what we ordered and would actually say out loud "oh i forgot that, oh i thought i brought that already, or oh hee i forgot to get you that." The food was ok not the best I have ever had the conch fritters were mostly bread and were over fried so that the inside wasn't very moist. The best part about the whole place was the huge iguana's they have outside that you can pet and take pictures of. Besides that I would say save your money the one in Islamorada Florida Keys is way better!

This restaurant is attached to a very large Bass Pro Shops, and is sort of out of the way relative to the main streets.   It is walking distance from the Courtyard by Marriott, and across from a Fishing Hall of Fame.  Unfortunately, I was too late to see if I had been inducted.  From I-95, take Griffin west a block, turn south on 21st, immediately turn east on Gulf Stream Way and follow it as it turns southward.

Shortly after opening the menu, I realized it would be relatively easy to gorge on dishes that I really enjoy while in Florida.  Resisting temptation, I skipped the oysters and conch fritters, and decided to go with just a main dish.  I chose the grilled grouper with home-made potato salad, and some stir-fried veggies.   I chose a 22 ounce draft to aid digestion.

After a reasonable wait, the dish arrived cooked to perfection.  The veggies were cooked but crisp, and the fish was excellent.  While I was digging in, the waiter brought me a basket of Bimini Bread, basically a hawaiian style bread with a liberal sprinkling of sugar.  Even though I am carb-conscious, I did down a least four delicious slices.

After I paid my check, I took a tour of the Bass Pro Shop - it is cavernous, a pretty comprehensive outdoor sporting venue.

this has to be the worst restaurant on the planet.
the food is horrendous.  its like eating hospital food but with dumber waitresses than nurses. the waitress disappeared for 20 minutes and forgot to put in our order!
if you want a real vegetable with your meal ...forget it.
everything tastes like its nuked. (they only offer frozen green beans)!
when you enter this place...it is quite deceiving. you think you're going to have a decent seafood dinner meal  (well with the nautical decor and all).
it's not at all what you could ever imagine.  its sooooooooooooooooo
bad its not to be believed.  this is chain food hell at its peak.
the food is greasy and low quality sysco garbage. the appetizers are disgusting. the entrees are even worse.  whatever you do do not order any sushi.  (thats poison altogether).
we all got deathly ill the next day.    stay away from islamorada fish co. and let the drinkers go here for their alcoholic needs.  (btw...they couldnt even make a decent drink).
this place is a big touristy rip-off.
if youre craving great seafood go to the west coast of florida. (fresh fish right from the gulf of mexico)   or just make some fresh fish at home.   save your hard earned cash.  this place is awful
