There are plenty of reasons to go to the mall for basic salon services, but the most important one is convenience. Where else are you going to get a wax, and mani/pedi (manicure and pedicure) at the last minute? Or after 7pm? Isis is located just inside the mall entrance across from the main floor Johnny Rockets.
After my first experience at Isis with an eyebrow wax, I decided to come back to get all beautified for the Yelp Elite event at El Gaucho (missed it finalizing my outfit and generally overbooking the day), and after party at Vertigo (made it, was fun, you shoulda been there!). I didn't have time to do my nails myself, so I figured this would be a decent substitute.
Most places I've been, I have to explain to them how to shape my brows. Both times at Isis, no hand gestures, drawing, or pointing was at all necessary. Also, pretty painless! They are gifted with the hot wax and after treatment so your eye area isnt red or puffy.
Both the manicure and pedicure seemed GREAT while I was enjoying the heated chair and lovely hand massage, but the manicurist used too much topcoat and my hands didn't dry properly. Also, I immediately noticed weird specks of dust settled in the polish after drying. They might want to clean the fan. It also wasn't until much later that I realized my toe polish was a tad sloppy on a couple of nails.
I paid a total of $55, which I guess is okay for the area. I'll definitely come back for the eyebrow wax and the service - both attendants on staff were polite, relaxed, and seemed to enjoy themselves.
