I relocated from SF 6 months ago, and fretted over finding a new esthetician to replace the person I had seen in the city for the last 4 years. 3 of my co-workers recommended Isabelle, then I read the YELP reviews , and now... I am an absolute fan! I started with a facial, loved her knowledge about cosmetics (no nonsense, and she is not pushy about anything) , then I had my eyebrows waxed, and then some other part of my body I would rather not mention (well, I am sure everyone knows what I mean :-) So by now I have had 3 facials and a lot of hairs removed at her hands, and I am quite happy with the results.
She is very busy, but she is always on time, neat, efficient, and a delight to talk to as well: attentive, smart and upbeat. More importantly: she is consistent and thorough (which my other esthetician was not) , and she has proven great at choosing products that have been working beautifully for me.
Bonus point: music matters a lot to me, and others reviewers mentioned her musical choices too, so here is my take - I am blown away by Isabelle's music selection during her treatments. It is all over the board eclectic: 16th century viola music, counter-tenor arias, 1950s bouncy lounge, current electronica, sweeping movie soundtracks- it is all woven smoothly in the background, and it undeniably adds to my great experience at her studio. I am, as I said, a total fan. -

Eyebrow waxing review.
I went to Isabelle because she had such great reviews on Yelp. I'll keep it simple ...
She got wax in my hair, which she CUT out before I even realized what she was doing!
She used eyebrow powder on my eyebrows after the wax, to fill-in the holes ... I looked like I had two caterpillars above my eyes when I left!
She did 'clean up' around my brows, but her preference was to let my eyebrows grow thick ... hmmmmm, I get my eyebrows waxed so they don't look like caterpillars!
And, she was pretty awkward ... not warm and friendly like other Estheticians.

Isabelle is the best facialist (esthetician) I have ever visited! When I first was referred to her over 5 years ago, she was booked 2-3 months in advance! A true testament to her quality, demand, and loyal clientele. Now I book my next appointment at the end of my current one, so I always have a facial scheduled on the horizon.
She does a thorough and gentle job of caring for my skin. Her extractions are pretty intense, but they NEVER leave my skin marred or red. My skin is beautiful the next day. Isabelle is efficient, professional, witty, and kind. She does not push products on you, but has some great brands for sale if you NEED something. She is educated about skincare, and she debunks all of the hype about the latest trends. She is honest, and has integrity, and isn't just out to make a buck. I really value and appreciate that! After a relaxing 75 minutes on the table, I have been steamed, exfoliated, extracted, massaged, masqued, and moisturized to a glowing loveliness. I only wish I could feel this radiant every day! I've been seeing Isabelle for about ten years. Best massages, facials and eyebrow waxing that I've ever had. I don't trust anyone else to shape my eyebrows. Her studio is small, but the soft music, soothing smells and oh-so comfortable table always make me wish that I had made a longer appointment!

Isabelle is a wizard with wax. That alone would be well-worth the trip from San Francisco, but she is also unfailingly professional and gives great recommendations on skin products.
She calls 48 hours in advance of all appointments to confirm, a helpful reminder. She takes clients on time and is the model of efficiency. If you're inclined to read, Isabelle will let you immerse yourself in one of her many magazines. If you'd rather converse, she'll talk about any topic.
Soothing music, orchids, this is a spa in a studio. -

Great location. Really professional establishment. I got my usual- Bikini wax. It was my first time with her and she was extremely fast and very kind. Great lady. The massage table is covered in blankets, she keeps the room nice and warm, which is great when you're 1/2 naked! I'm definitely going back.

I found Isabelle on Yelp and thought it would be appropriate to write my own review. I got a bikini wax from her and although it hurt a lot... :) ... she did a wonderful job. She was very efficient, precise, and professional. I highly recommend her. She also had some relaxing french music playing in the background.

I've been going to Isabelle for the past 10 years, when I come home to visit in the Bay. She is professional, helpful and always friendly. Specifically she gives great bikini, eyebrow and upper lip waxes. I recommend her above any cheap nail salon option because she frankly does a better quality job.

Isabelle is amazing!! I've been going to her for years and she does a great job keeping my skin in tip top shape and looking good. Isabelle also does the best eyebrow wax in town. I especially appreciate that Isabelle is totally honest about my skin care needs and does not try sell me lots of unnecessary expensive products or reschedule me more often than I need. That being said, she has a great variety of excellent products and is completely candid about my skin care needs. Isabelle's salon is a comfortable and relaxing place to be and she plays the best music. Love Isabelle, love her salon, skin care products, music mixes, love, love, love.....
